Hampden has some good bars but Flips is one of the nicer ones. Cafe Hon is nice but small. Think of this as a bigger Cafe Hon bar. Other than the Asian bar tender that needs an attitude adjustment, each time I've gone in it, has been a good experience. They do serve food and when they're not serving have no problem with you getting delivery.

I'm not sure what the other guy was talking about. The drinks are made like at those dance clubs, they're made the way they're supposed to be made. The beer selection is good and they have a great online juke box. There is plenty of space as well. You won't feel like have to squeeze through between the people at the bar and the wall.
They have a big television for watching the game inside and an awesome outside area for eating and drinking.
Right now this place is a well kept secret that attracts business professionals and a lot of the newer locals.

The cons are the LCD's behind the bar, way to small. The bathrooms are clean but small. But I'll take clean and small over big and dirty any day. And there is one on each floor.
The upstairs seems like it could be put to better use. There isn't much going on up there. It feels like a waste of space but there a few places to sit. If you wanted some privacy at a bar this would be the spot.

It's a great place overall. If the Asian bar tender quits and the LCD's get bigger, I'd give it 5 stars.

Pros: atmosphere, clean, friendly, spacious

Cons: small LCD's at bar, hours can vary on weekends.

My advice would to keep walking and avoid this place. I doesn't even have any food. The drinks are watered down on top of not having quality liquor or ingredients needed for mixed drinks. This is really more of a regular Hampden bar with the older locals and younger thug crowd. If your looking for a younger professional crowd this is not your bar. I your looking to go slumming this place is for you.

95Transam the bar has been closed since before last Thanksgiving because the previous owner drank all the alcohol. Hopefully the next owner can clean up the bar and hire competent personnel because the last owner couldn't even pay the workers what they were owed. It is really just another neighborhood bar and nothing special. Maybe that will change with the next owner, but only time will tell.

Pros: 6 draft beer selections

Cons: parking, no food, limited music, limited seating, no games, one large TV, no outside speakers, police coming by telling patrons to be quiet after noise complaints from residents next door.
