My husband and I found a sofa and love seat that we liked and we ordered it. Unlike others, we had no problem until it was delivered. The delivery showed up on time but the couch was damaged. After calling customer service while the delivery men were still there, holding for 15 minutes, and confirming with them that they would someone out within 24 to 48 hours, we accepted delivery and sent the truck on it's way. This was only the beginning.

After countless calls to customer service, who were rude, obnoxious and VERY unhelpful, I was told that it would take at least 2 weeks to get someone there to assess and perhaps fix the sofa! By this time, I was so tired of being on hold, that I asked them if they could give me the phone number of the manager at the store. They told me no, they only had the main number. I explained to them SEVERAL times that I couldn't get through to anyone at the store and when I left messages, no one returned my call. I was told that I needed to go to the store!

What a joke! No one has an extension? No one can tell me how to get through? No one can help me?

I went to the store TWICE because there wasn't a manager there the first time.

The end of the story is that I did get my money back, but when I tried to tell the whole story to the manager, he didn't want to hear it. He did ask why I was dissatisfied overall, and I told him it was mainly my dealings with customer service. He did not appear surprised and didn't even try to defend them! I'm sure that he's heard it all before an knows that they are terrible.

In summary, the situation could have been resolved by customer service and I would have kept the furniture, if they had just acted cordial and lived up to their promises.Horrible customer service. Keep this in mind if you buy furniture there, this makes that warranty a joke.

My wife and I actually found a sofa and love seat we liked at Marlo and our salesman was quite courteous. It was only after we bought our furniture that we saw the real (horrible) side of this store.

Customer Service post sale is atrocious. Everything is automated and if you want to talk to a customer rep you have to wait more than an hour. We waited all day on the day we were supposed to receive our furniture and no one showed up or even called.

The next day when we called Marlo, we had to hold for an hour. When we finally reached a human being, she was unbelievably rude and told us all she could do was reschedule for two weeks later (and even that delivery date was not guaranteed)! Keep in mind they did not show, they did not call. We called them, waited for an hour, received no compensation or apology, and received attitude from the customer service rep.

When I asked them to cancel our order, we were told we had to go back to the store to do this. Because Marlo decided to stall, it took three trips back to the store for us to get our money back. In each of our trips to the store each person we dealt with told us they were counting down the day until they could leave the business.

Beware, Marlo will lull you into making the purchase and then treat you like garbage once they have your money.

I asked the sales person if the store had a Berkline model 088 chair. He said he did not know, they only have what I see. He would not check any records. The department manager said the same thing and added that they were busy.

I checked their web site and sent an email to customer service. The address was invalid. I called the next day and the receptionist was only able to put me through to voice mail. I left a message and did not get a call back.

If they treat customers that know what they want and are ready and willing to spend over $5000 this way, how do they treat customs that have a problem with an order?
