My date and I stumbled upon this little restaurant next to that bar Tribe. We went in not knowing what to expect and could not believe what a diamond we had found. The martinis are perfection in a glass. I had the Mac N Cheese for dinner and my date had RED house salad. Both were fantastic. I must get the "5" cheese recipe somehow. We each got a dessert and shared, I had the brownie, decadent doesn't begin to describe its' sinful nature and she got the pecan cheesecake pie...each came with different flavored ice cream...I still can't decide which was better. Oh and if you like coffee we had this special blend...something like hazelnut rum, I think...we ate out on their AMAZING patio (its hidden in the back of the restaurant) be sure to ask to sit there!

Pros: Great food, decor, martinis and the amazing patio!

Cons: Gets crowded past 11pm

I've been there 3 times in 2 years and never had one decently flavored dish. The drinks are great but that's about it. Unfortunately we need to support our family establishments but not when the food is that bad.

I really like Red. I always get the same thing so I can't really comment on ALL the food. But I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Red House Salad. It's pecans, dried cherries, lettuce of course, and more than i can't remember. The dressing is this really light citrus-y and semi-sweet dressing that is just perfect for it - not too acidic, not too sugary or thick. And it comes with some dinner rolls and honey butter. Delicious. Red is connected to Tribe so you can walk over and dance or have a drink there. Best of all - they have a great elevated patio. Nicely landscaped, a small waterfall, and nice umbrellas and piped in music. I think it's a great place for a party. This and Tribe and Play are on the part of Church sometimes called the Gay-borhood. Everyone feels welcome.

Pros: not usually crowded; nice ambience; great patio; a full bar; gay friendly

Cons: desserts I've had are so-so; you may have to walk a block to park;

I was surprised to find this location and had to give it a try. The menu was very broad, from gourmet crab cakes, not imitation krab, to seared Ahi tuna; it would be hard to not find something to your liking. The spinach/artichoke dip was great, actual chunks of artichoke included. Well portioned main course that left no room for dessert. The timing of parts of the meal was well organized. The bar was a bit limited, which was odd being a part of a bar, but what they had didn't disappoint. Pretty good soundproofing but you do still get the club feel, not a problem if you plan to visit that before or after. Definitely a place to check out, great for both people looking for a bit of Nashvilles nightlife or just a great 4 star quality meal without 4 star prices.
