I bought a truck from the used car lot and agreed an a price (that they ended up charging a grand more then agreed, plus tax and fees) and a written agreement on what would be done to the truck as in tires, 60k service, alignment and other things.
They quickly ran it through the shop (to quick to get all the work done) and then I purchased the truck assuming that they did what they said was done. After getting it home in my shop I saw that it was in a wreck with my shop lights hitting the right front fender just right. The fender was recently replaced and missing several bolts to hold it on. The paint job of the fender and door was so poor I??m kicking my self for not noticing it at Darlings used car lot and they did not disclosed. Over sprayed clear coat covered the mirror so it was difficult to see anything. I also noticed that none of the 60K service was done other then the rear differential service that they did do, and the alignment was not done. I had to do the 60K service my self and take it to a shop up the road to have the alignment done. The alignment was way out of specifications and the coolant was about 75% antifreeze that could damage the engine by overheating it in hot weather. The service writer said all the servicing was done and when I mentioned the coolant issue was not flushed she made excuses so I left it alone seeing that she was not going to be truthful with me so no need to bother go any further with her.
I had to take it back twice for a front drive shaft vibration. The first time they just rebalanced the tires they just installed and said that they road tested it and it fine now. Well, when I got on I-95 the truck shook so badly I had to get off on the next exit. When I took it back the second time I demanded to have my old trusted friend Jeff in service to go for a ride with me and he took care of it by replacing the front U-joints. About this time is when potholes started to form with spring thaw and I noticed a rattling and thumping in the left front. I checked it out in my shop before taking back again to Darlings Nissan and found the left front strut to be blown. I took it to Nissan and told her exactly what the problem is and she wrote it up as something totally different that would have led the mechanic in the wrong direction. I went for a ride with a young fellow that did here the noise. When I picked it up they said it was a stabilizer bar link on the left side and they replaced it. On the way home I herd the same strut noise so rather then dealing with the useless dealer (except for Jeff) I bought the struts my self and installed them myself. Now the truck tracks down the road straight, ride smoother and no more rattle and thump noises.
My experience with Darlings Nissan is as bad and unprofessional as it can be (with the exception of Jeff, he??s the man).

We recieve great service at Honda - from buying/leasing to questions to repairs (which are minimal on a Honda).
