I've been going here for almost two years; my friend recommended it after I suffered a horrible haircut elsewhere. Lindsay saved the day and I've requested her ever since. She always listens to what I want - she'll make suggestions - but the client always has the final say. I did have Nem cut my hair once (Lindsay was sick and I was desperate), he did an awesome job, too. Sometimes when I call, the receptionist(s) seem a bit frazzled but in terms of haircuts, Lindsay is the best. And reasonably priced, too.

This is the place for personal creativity, guided by the pros! The people are awesome the service is great!!! Gigi Salon&Spa is easily one of the most relaxing, and unique hair salons I've been to. The cozy spa compliments a friendly, courteous, and creative staff of skilled, professional stylists You all need to check this place out....They go the extra mile :) Free hand massage ....Gigi Knows His Colors.... He did My Hair (Corrective color and it turned out awesome!!) Now thanks to him I love highlights in my hair.

Glad all you "pin heads" think this is a great salon. Now, let me tell you what really goes on.
Have you ever seen the movie Pretty Woman? Remember the part where Julia Roberts walks in to the store on Rodeo and is snubbed by the snooty staff? No need to travel all the way to Beverly Hills when you can get that right in the heart of Astoria, Queens. I have never felt so invisible and unwelcome in a spa in my life.
I was greeted very coldly and had very cold reception from my technicians. I swear if I would have walked in to any other spa in the area and dropped the kind of money I did that day I would have had a much warmer response. I arrived at least 20 minutes before my first appointment was supposed to start and my services were rushed. Sorry you are having a bad day ladies, not my problem. I am so done with this place. People come to a spa to feel better about themselves not to feel like they are a nuisance.
This place is full of "euro trash" led by the biggest loser - Gigi.
Again, so typical of what I've seen from Eastern Europeans who think they are God's gift to the fashion world and hair styling. Such attitudes, so transparent that it permeates throughout the salon. They are like robots who are only concerned about making a fast buck.
Never go here again. I would rather stick a screwdriver in my eye.

I just got home from my first visit to GIGI Salon and feel compelled to write my first review ever. Simply because this is the best salon experience I have ever had, & I have had quite a few! My hair is not my strong point, & I hate getting it cut. It's fine, thin, dry & naturally wavy. Most stylist have failed miserably at doing anything with it. Every time I HAVE to get it cut, I go to yet another high-priced salon & shell out hundreds hoping that someone that cost a lot will be able to work some magic. Most not only have left me feeling broke & depressed, but have also resulted in me rushing home to rewet and restyle it. Well not this time! I passed by GIGI, and it looked inviting. I am a Manhattanite by heart, so giving an Astoria salon a try was a stretch for me. But I figured I would give it a shot, & if nothing else, at least stop spending a fortune on bad haircuts. I made an appointment, which I was able to get that day! Obviously, the word is not out on this place yet, but that's good for me. My stylist, Lindsay, made a recommendation on cut and highlights, & I wished her good luck. Not only was she one of the nicest people I have met in a while, but she actually delivered the magic that I had completely given up on. My hair looks amazing! The cut, the color....both fabulous! AND not only was it way less that what I have been accustomed to paying, Lindsay actually told me that I only need to get my highlights touched up every 3 months because they are so subtle & it will be healthier for my hair. This is after she had already recommended that we do a partial set of highlights instead of a full. I felt the entire time that she was more concerned about making sure that I was happy than she was about selling me anything I would buy. It was truly a refreshing salon experience. I walked taller on the way home. And even though I didn't need any reassurance, my boyfriend took one look at me & said 'WOW. AMAZING.' THANKS LINDSAY!

I went to the Gigi salon last week in utter desperation a stylist at another salon over bleached my hair and led me to consider not leaving the house until it all grows out. Fortunately, Gigi himself offered to fix my hair dilemma and was not only successful at doing so, but also made it look the best it ever has! I was extremely impressed by the level of professionalism, attentiveness and understanding which each team member expressed during my visit. Also, the salon itself was stunning, with a modern design and a funky vibe. If youre looking for a high quality salon in the area, this is the place to be. I will certainly go back and beg Gigi to take me on as one of his regular clients.

I decline with a shy smile. Hair salons to offer the beverage staples, but I can't have caffeine. And I don't feel like getting into the meat of my disinterest. Usually these guys ask me about fifty times if I'm okay. Fed. Watered. Patted. Coddled.
Wine?"
I almost decline again, and then--
"...wait, you're being serious? You're seriously going to get me a *wine*?"
But Gigi has done this before. He maneuvers around my pint like a shaved-headed hummingbird, and takes my hair-related requests in stride. His experience shows in every "touch" of the razor through my hair, and I'm still glowing from the firm, actually-relaxing massage that came with the shampoo. I think it's the first one I've had that didn't feel rushed and dismissive and jaded.
Seriously-- if I could take this guy home, I would.
He's an absolute sweetheart, a great conversationalist, and he has a rare gift of touch that is usually reserved for high-ranked masseuses and doe-eyed pediatric nurses.
And I love the cut.
Perfect to a T, and an easy wash-and-wear style. Everything I want.

This is hands down one of the best hair salons I've been too. I am fortunate and so happy to have found this place. From the receptionist who greets you [IT WAS GIGI!, don't think its always him though...:8)] all the way down to the staff and shampooers you couldn't ask for a more courteous and professional atmosphere. The salon itself is beautiful, very upscale feel. EVEN THE WASHROOM IS! I'm not just saying this...if you want a quality, stylish haircut without the midtown prices, this is absolutely a steal. I made an appointment with Vicky and she was perfect at creating the cut exactly, i should say EVEN better, than i had envisioned it. I love long hair, but wanted the right kind of layers put in...not the just-around-the-face kind, i wanted a modern look. I showed her a few pictures of what i'd like and she knew exactly what to do. Literally I had THE perfect cut...she kept the length and gave my hair the right amount of layers/body. The price was decent and the eco-conscious products they use (Aveda) are great too. The salon is clean, beautiful and busy, which says alot...PEOPLE LUV IT! Very talented stylists. i definitely recommend this salon to anyone. If you have long hair and want the perfect cut, for sure, VICKY! I will definitely go back because i trust what she says and the work she does. I'm so glad I found a stylist to make me look BEAUTIFUL!

If you want an excellent hair cut and excellent service try this place. GIGI listened to me and gave me his professional opinion which was great!!! I've finally found a stylist who I will trust and recommend to people. I have a lot of hair and have had very, very bad experiences where I thought to myself, I'll never find a quality cut but after I met Gigi I now know that I'll have that healthy hair I've always wanted. My best two friends are going for years to Gigi`s place-to do hair with Nem-and i heard all stories about how great he is ....and yesterday i decide to give guy a chance and see whay is all buzz about him....(and now i`m writing this review:)...i have very-very long hair and wanted some new style for winter,so i sit down and said to him to do what ever he thinks will look good on me-and he gave me the best cut ever-EVER !!! Now i`m making plans to give him chance to do some blond shades on me (that i never have guts to do)-couse i think i found stylist for years to come.

Gigi cut my hair, and it took 2 hours because he kept stopping to talk on his cell phone. One girl washed my hair, one girl brushed my hair and pulled on it. Then one girl blow dried my hair and burned my scalp. I hated the style and Gigi did not listen to anything I asked for or talked about during the cut. I was very disappointed after reading such great reviews.

I feel compelled to write a review (something I rarely do) after seeing a negative reviewer say, "they obviously write their own reviews." BS- there are a lot of people who live in the 'hood that swear by this place, me included. I've been going here for the past few years I've lived in the neighborhood, and I've only had one cut/color that wasn't what I really wanted, from some guy I'm pretty sure doesn't work there any more. I love Christina, Edyta, Vickie, Lindsey, and Gigi for my cuts. You really can't beat the prices, and I get a lot of good feedback on my hair. Whenever my sister comes to NYC, she sees Christina (probably spelled wrong) for a cut and color. I've always had a pleasant, relaxing visit here and would recommend it strongly, especially if you go see any of the aforementioned stylists.

I used to have hair up to my knee, and the first person who cut it chopped it into a bob instead of my waist as I instructed. From then on it took until Nam for me to really trust a stylist. He listened to what I wanted, and gave me something better than I could ever expect. He also showed me how to get the same results at home. I have long long hair now, and its hard to get a really cool modern look, he managed to achieve that. I never got so many compliments or so many people stop me on the street! Love you Nam!

I went here for my first time on a recommendation of my friend. I saw Hina for a color glaze and cut. She did a perfect job on the color, exactly what I was looking for. And I've had some bad color jobs, hence why I was looking for a new salon. She also did a really nice cut for me, making the subtle changes I asked for and not going crazy with the scissors. The salon itself was lovely. Everyone was outgoing, kind and my appointment was on time. I've sat in salons before feeling ignored and passed over, not here though! The only con is that when I called and asked how much the color glaze usually starts at, I was told they start at $40. When I went to pay, the receptionist told me they start at $60 for the roots and $80 for all over. So I ended up paying double what I was expecting for the color. But because it turned out so well and the experience was so nice I really didn't mind paying the extra price. The cut was $40 and the overall price was worth my trip there, not to mention how nice it is to have such a great salon a few blocks from my apartment. Recommended!

Loved this place! I have finally found a new hair dresser! I just had a cut and color with Lindsay and she was great! Totally listened to me, gave me suggestions and brought my color back to LIFE! Price was just where I wanted to be esp. in comparison to some NYC hair salons! Great place!

I went for my appt. on Monday last week and as soon as I walked in I was quickly assisted. Everyone there was so friendly. As soon as I sat down, Hina walked over, introduced herself and sat down with me to discuss what I was interested in doing with my hair. I explained I wanted something different and needed a professional oppinion on what would look best on me. I already had some faded highlights and my brown roots were growing out. She recommended I go with my natural base color and add a few subtle highlights. Hina and her assistant, Tina were great, explaining what they were doing the whole time!
Hina also cut my hair and it was amazing because she did exactly what i was looking for and she was always asking how i was feeling.
For the past week and a half, I have been getting complimented everywhere I go. . Thank you Soo much Hina!!!!!!!

I have got my haircut with Kristina...for a second time and she chopped my hair...The same scenario like the first time...we discussed what I wanted and she did whatever she wanted...When I said to her that is not what I asked for she replied to me that this is much better then my previous hair cut....I wanted a trim and got a short haircut....Since when she decides what I shoul look like??? This people have no boundaries and comon sense...I hate my new haircut and I will never go back there...it is a "mad house"...and they should listen to what the client wants not what they think...This is another person's job...

I feel horrible because i cannot remeber her name but she just moved from rochester and was the nicest person i have ever met.
The service at GIGI's was amazing!Miss rochester did a spectacular job on my cut. As soon as I left the salon someone stopped as comment about how they loved my hair.
Miss rochester knew a lot about the awesome aveda products an i didn't feel like she was pushing me into buying anything but genuinly wanted me to know how to take care of my hair.
I will be recommending her to everyone that i know, she is so sweet and i cant wait to go back!

This was the greatest experience I've ever had in a hair salon! I wanted to do just a simple one all around color and Nem suggested an addition of some highlights, which at first I was not sure if I wanted to do, but it turned out amaizing! His suggestion changed the final result completely, and I left the salon like a different person. I cannot even explain how much I appreciate when my hair stylist knows his job and has "an eye" to catch the personality and match it with the hair style/color, and Nem definitely has it big time. I would highly recommend him to literaly anyone! No matter if you have an idea what would you like to do with your hair or not, his performance will make you feel great every morning you look yourself in the mirror! Thank you Nem!

Spent $200.00 and 3 hours here and my hair was not even close to color I wanted..When I told the stylist Edita this is not the color I wanted she replied..it's a lot better than the color you came in with! I went home and had to change the color myself..Gigi seemed to be telling her all along what to do as if she was inexperienced. I will never go back and I don't recommend it.

KRISTINA - is a true artist. She does more than just cut and style your hair. She works WITH YOU to make sure that YOU are happy with what she is going to do with your hair. She asks you what you want and will also tell you what works and does not work for your hair. She is warm, always smiling and treats you GREAT ! From the very first time you got to her, and every time after that ! Kristina has been cutting/styling my hair (and my mom's) for close to 2 years now...and all I can say is that she does a GREAT and AMAZING job each and every time.
As for the rest of the staff at the salon - everyone is SUPER FRIENDLY from the Receptionist, the other stylists, and the assistants (who might I add do an amazing job with shampoo - the light scalp massage is always GREAT !!)
Upon walking in you sense the cool, inviting, modern and friendly environment that you have entered and feel great -- even before anyone has touched your hair. And the AVEDA products are AWESOME as well !
If that is not a good indicator of what the end result will be --- than what is !
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND KRISTINA - since she is the only one that has ever cut/styled my hair (and my mom's)...but quite honestly everyone else that I have seen cutting and styling are great at what they do (Lindsay, Edita, Nem and of course Gigi himself too :) )

Love this place. Booked my appointment with Carolina because my roommate came home last week with a gorgeous haircut and told me about Gigi. The salon itself has a pleasant atmosphere- busy, modern, attractive- and Carolina was completely lovely. I recently got a dreadful haircut (hideous bangs, ugh) and Carolina did a great job of fixing me up. I have long straight hair and she gave me long layers to give it some shape and texture. Definitely love the cut. She also spent a lot of time showing me the best ways to blow-dry out my hair it in general and talked to me while I drank wine. How do you not love that?One more thing,shampoo guy was the best ever!!!! Big surprise!!! Met him at some bar while I was out with my friends one night . Not just great shampoo but even better voice.O my,this guy is the GOD of music!! I will go back just to hear his angel voice!

Nam has been cutting my hair for several months. He is excellent--attentive, helpful and very professional. He took a very bad cut that I had been paying double for in Brooklyn and made my hair look clean and stylish. The salon staff is extremely nice, especially the receptionist. When the owner is there, he always inquires if I am satisfied with the service. Of course, I always say, Yes!

Called in for a simple cut this evening - called a few places in Astoria that seemed "annoyed" by my call so I didn't bother to schedule appointments there... When I called the GiGi salon, the gentleman who answered was very nice and scheduled an appointment within 40 minutes of my call. Not only that, he clearly explained pricing and how they operate. (BIG FAN OF THAT!) Had a junior stylist (Carolina) who I would recommend in a minute. No useless chit-chat, great cut and I was in and out of there. Seriously - I WILL be back. Gigi happened to be there in the back and was super-nice/chatty. As one who's tried multiple Astoria salons, this one wins and has gotten my regular business. Thanks Gigi/Carolina.

I recently went to GiGi Salon and Spa for a hair cut. They offer so many more services besides hair that I am anxious to go back and try; massage, waxing, facials, laser treatments like hair removal and IPL's. I love the fact that they use Aveda products. They are a very green eco-conscious salon. I really like that.

I have been twice & both experiences at GIGI salon have been great! From the gracious receptionist,Federico, to the talented stylists that I have worked with, Gigi,Vicky & Edita...everyone has been wonderful. Amy takes extra time to massage your scalp while shampooing...I swear I almost fell asleep twice!) :) My hair color has been a great success both times and I love the way my hair looks after Gigi has had his way with the scissors! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Great customer service...great energy...beautiful space. Thank you GIGI SALON... so glad to have a quality local salon in Astoria!!

I went for a new style before the holidays. I hate getting a haircut because I'm never very good at saying exactly what I want because, truthfully, I never know exactly WHAT that is. My appt. was Kristina (recommended by a coworker) and so I explained that i wanted to keep the length but just give myself more of a "look"-- something relatively low maintenance, but polished, probably with some layers. I specifically asked that she make suggestions about a good style for me. Her suggestions were right on target and I felt like we were communicating well. I ended up with a great cut that I really love!
---The only con: my fiance also went to Kristina a couple weeks after me and he wasn't pleased with the cut he received. Now, since I wasn't there, I'm not sure what (if any) direction he gave her. I have a sneaking suspicion that he just plopped down in the chair and when she asked what he wanted, he said, "Just cut it," instead of specifying his preference and his styling habits (or lack thereof--he doesn't believe in hair products). So in all fairness, Kristina is not a mind-reader, and if you don't explain what you want, you can't complain if you end up with something other than what you envisioned.
That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. She was efficient, but I felt that she took the time to make sure that everything was perfect (it was a 7pm Friday appt, so you run the risk of being hurried out at that time). I did not feel rushed at all. I walked out feeling beautiful!
Highly recommended - I will definitely return!

The service at GIGI's was amazing! Everyone from the receptionist to the stylist were very helpful and friendly. Lindsay did a spectacular job on my color and cut. As soon as I left the salon I had a few different people stop me on the street and comment about how they loved my hair. I thought this would soon end once I began to style my own hair but it hasn't. I have had more comments on my hair since I can last remember. The salon is also in a great location, it really doesn't get any better. Thanks Lindsay for a job well done!!!

If you've been looking for not only a great stylist or colorist, but enjoy great ambience, super conversation, and loads of laughs, then this is the salon for you, and Nem's your guy! Not only does Nem listen to what I want - of course he has his own opinion, but never forces it on me - he's now also a great friend of mine, and I look forward to my visits :-)
He's patient, listens (which isn't always easy to find with a stylist, believe me!), and is always consistent, both in terms of mood and application. Nem is one in a million.....and probably a "little known secret" tucked away in Astoria - believe me, he leaves Manhattan stylists with a lot to be desired.
And best of all?? The prices are EXCELLENT - and if Nem doesn't think you should spend a fortune reworking highlights through your whole head, when doing only the roots is all that's needed, he'll tell you. Where would you find that? A stylist not only out for the $$$$'s? Right here is where - look no further!

He did my highlights and haircut, and when I saw myself in the miror I was so happy!
The guy did the best job ever. I'm going more than 10 years in high class salons in Manhattan and I never get such good result. I'm giving 5 stras to salon and 10 stars to Nam!

I have gone to GiGi Salon three times to have Lindsay cut my hair. My hair isn't that hard to cut so I've never felt the need to go to the same person. In the past, I've tried lots of different salons, but as long as Lindsay is around, I'm not going anywhere else. I've noticed that as she's gotten to know my hair, the cuts have gotten better and better. The reason I'm writing this is because my hair hasn't been cut in 3 months and it still looks fantastic. I get compliments nearly every week from people who think I just got it cut.
She is so nice, relaxed, and really asks questions, listens to you, and thinks about what she's doing. I'm going to make my appointment for my next cut with her this week.

I've been bleaching my hair at home for years, and was finally sick of the damage and trouble. After going to a well-known salon and coming out looking like Marilyn Monroe's ghost I had almost given up on letting anyone else touch my hair again. A friend of mine recommended I go see Kristina for a haircut, but after reading a few reviews on here about their colorists, I figured let me go see what they can do for me while I was there. I highly recommend Kristina and am SO HAPPY to say that I have finally found the stylist of my dreams! She worked with me beforehand and we both figured out what would best for my hair now and how it will help it in the future. She really did take her time with me and did give me her all. I went to the Gigi salon last week in utter desperation ? a stylist at another salon over bleached my hair and led me to consider not leaving the house until it all grows out. Fortunately, Gigi himself offered to fix my hair dilemma and was not only successful at doing so, but also made it look the best it ever has! I was extremely impressed by the level of professionalism, attentiveness and understanding which each team member expressed during my visit. Also, the salon itself was stunning, with a modern design and a ?funky? vibe. If you?re looking for a high quality salon in the area, this is the place to be. I will certainly go back and beg Gigi to take me on as one of his regular clients.

This salon is by far the best I have been to. I have spent years wasting money going to places and ending up not being satisfied with my cut but Edita was perfect! She took her time with my hair and it even got to the point where i was getting restless in my seat. That is not a bad thing....I have never been to a place like that...her technique was superior and when i was finished chopping my hair off....i was actually happy about doing it. I was nervous because i was cutting off the hair I took a long time to grow but she made me feel so comfortable. I wish I could say the same about the guys at the front desk but it wasn't bad enough for me not to go back to see her again. I would definitely recommend this place....just ignore the male receptionists at the desk....i think they just get jealous once they see how beautiful you look after your cut :)

I walked into Gigi salon in search of a new stylist about 3 years ago and found a best friend. My stylist Nem's work is know around the world as he has styled in Italy, france, and beyond. His work is absolute brilliance and I can say that without bias as my cut is so good people can't believe it's my real hair "something that good must be extentions" someone once said, even my girlfriends who are already gorgeous are making appointments for my signature cut. I promise you won't be disappointed the salon has a warm and inviting energy about it. If you're looking for a great cut make an appt. with Nem and ask for the Jen Strand cut!

I MUST agree with the comment below! I have been getting my hair cut by Kristina at GiGi for 2 years now and she is THE BEST hairdresser you could ever ask for!! She is so consistent...always giving me a fabulous haircut. I always get compliments on my cut and I have to give props to where it's due! She's a completely sweetheart and takes her time to make sure that you get the exact look/hairstyle that you want and that fits you. I would recommend her to everyone!

I am so happy that I met Kristina. She is the best hair stylist ever. I feel that now that I met her my life is complete. Kristina is a genuine hair stylist who knows her trade inside out. She listens to me and creates a masterpiece every time. I would recommend her in a heart beat to anybody. She is soooo talented. Outstanding job consistently. Thank you Kristina.

I called for a last minute haircut on a Sunday afternoon, and they fit me in for an appointment within the hour. Reception and staff were very friendly when I walked in, and they brought me cold water to drink while I waited to meet my hair stylist. Moments later I meet Melinda who is very friendly, and I sit in her chair and show her my photo reference for the haircut I want. She listened, asked me a question or two and then gave me the greatest haircut ever.
The haircut totally exceeded my expectations. She delivered spot on what I asked for, and even explained why she was using techniques on my fine limp hair to deliver the look I was after. I would pay three times the price to get my next haircut from Melinda. Highest recommendations for the salon, and I cannot say more about how pleased I am with my new haircut. I would follow this stylist to any salon in NYC.

WELL, I WENT TO THIS SALON FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME A WEEK AGO. I MOVE FROM ILINOIS NOT LONG AGO AND I WAS LOOKING FOR A LOCAL SALON TO TAKE CARE OF MY HAIR.
I WENT TO GIGIS FOR A HAIRCUT, CUZ LAST TIME I GOT HIGHLIGHTS IN THE CITY BY WORK THEY OVERCHARGED ME AND IT WAS JUST NOT WHAT I ASKED FOR AT THAT TIME... ANYWAY, THIS SPANISH GUY BENICE ASK ME WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR TO DO IN MY HAIR AND I TOLD HIM JUST A CUT, AND HE LOOK AT MY ROOTS AND WENT LIKE: "HONEY, HOW U WALK ON THE STREETS WITH THOSE ROOTS", I MEAN LIKE, HE MAKE ME REALIZE HOW BAD IT LOOKS, I WAS REALLY AFRAID OF DOING MORE HIGHLIGHTS CUZ I DIDNT WANT TO LOOK LIKE MARYLIN MONROE, BUT HE TOLD ME IT WAS GONNA BE MORE SETTLE AND NATURAL.
WELL IN AN HOUR AND A HALF HE TURN ME INTO A HOT HEAD OF NATURAL LOOKING COLOR AND AN AMAZING CUT AND STYLE THAT I STILL NOT BELIEVE, ALL OF MY GIRLFRIENDS LOVE MY NEW LOOK AND NOE I CANT WAIT FOR HIM TU PUT HIS TOUCH IN MY HAIR AGAIN.

I just got home from my first visit to GIGI Salon and feel compelled to write my first review ever. Simply because this is the best salon experience I have ever had, & I have had quite a few! My hair is not my strong point, & I hate getting it cut. It's fine, thin, dry & naturally wavy. Most stylist have failed miserably at doing anything with it. Every time I HAVE to get it cut, I go to yet another high-priced salon & shell out hundreds hoping that someone that cost a lot will be able to work some magic. Most not only have left me feeling broke & depressed, but have also resulted in me rushing home to rewet and restyle it. Well not this time! I passed by GIGI, and it looked inviting. I am a Manhattanite by heart, so giving an Astoria salon a try was a stretch for me. But I figured I would give it a shot, & if nothing else, at least stop spending a fortune on bad haircuts. I made an appointment, which I was able to get that day! Obviously, the word is not out on this place yet, but that's good for me. My stylist, Lindsay, made a recommendation on cut and highlights, & I wished her good luck. Not only was she one of the nicest people I have met in a while, but she actually delivered the magic that I had completely given up on. My hair looks amazing! The cut, the color....both fabulous! AND not only was it way less that what I have been accustomed to paying, Lindsay actually told me that I only need to get my highlights touched up every 3 months because they are so subtle & it will be healthier for my hair. This is after she had already recommended that we do a partial set of highlights instead of a full. I felt the entire time that she was more concerned about making sure that I was happy than she was about selling me anything I would buy. It was truly a refreshing salon experience. I walked taller on the way home. And even though I didn't need any reassurance, my boyfriend took one look at me & said 'WOW. AMAZING.' THANKS LINDSAY!

I go to Gigi for the stylist named Edita. If you live in NYC and would like to have the greatest highlights you should try her. I have change many stylist in Manhattan because of my unhappy experience with my highlights done in the biggest name in NYC. Based on my experience Edita is the best stylist for coloring in NYC. She really loves her job and is very talented and for the top quality of services she provides she charge very reasonable price. I think she is the best hair stylist in NYC! Thanks again Gigi for having Edita!

I love Gigi Salon and I'm not someone who likes getting my hair cut, shopping, etc. Everyone is very nice, the stylists are talented and I leave feeling refreshed and looking good. I recommend this place to everyone.
For the last two years, Gigi has been my hair color and style guru. Each time I walk out of Gigi Salon I am re-energized and feel amazing! You wouldn't believe the looks I get walking back home from the salon. Miky Assistant did great shampoo and blowdry and, after I sit down in Gigi's chair, I never really have a plan for my hair because I know that he will. I trust Gigi to do what is in my best interest and I'm always thrilled with the end result. Gigi always gives me his honest opinion his extensive knowledge about hair is demonstrated by the fact that my hair always looks natural, modern and polished. Gigi's down to earth attitude, fresh perspective and fun personality are contagious. I feel like I've known him forever. THANKS FOREVER, AND SEE YOU SOON

I went to the salon a week ago for them to JUST STYLE MY HAIR. I was going to a wedding and did not want to do it myself. I have to say, my appt. was at 2 pm, and I was seen exactly at that time which was great. Im thinking "wow, great service" they offered me wine, which i said no to. I should have taken it, at least i would have gotten somethign out of it. So I get to the chair, tell the stylist what i want done and showed her even a picture. I wanted soft curls and and an updo. Im not too picky, so I added that she can put her own touch to it but please do not make me look like Im going to prom, I want to look chic, not 15 y.o. So she curls my hair with a curling iron, FOR AN HOUR. I have medium length hair but cmon my hair is so thin and not much of it on my head, AN HOUR. By the time she was done the curls went loose. She told me "oh, thats not my fault, your hair is too straight" "WHATTT !! People, my hair is a little wavy ! The curls should have stayed. She said"oh, i should have added more hairspray" umm really? Then this other woman comes to me to REcurl it. O my gosh I tell you when she was done I looked like a 15 yr old. I was on the verge of tears. All this took 2 hrs...??? Yeah I dont even know what they were trying to do because at this time i stopped looking in the mirror. I told her to just leave it, and although I dindt want to pay I went up and did pay just to avoid any drama because i knew if i opened my mouth I would burst in tears.
Now, this isnt just me. In the middle of this a woman behind me was getting a haircut and right when i was done with my hair...i look at her and she looked so sad. She was so pretty on her face...and young and they made her look like an old lady. I heard her say " I told u exactly what i wanted...why, why, did you do this..its so short you cant even fix it" Poor woman.
I dont remember my stylists name, all i know is her name started with an M. Sorry guys that i cant help u there. Good luck
