Joe Holland Chevrolet is a rip off

by Jason W.

What do I think of Joe Holland Chevrolet? Let's just say one star is too much. Worst customer service I have dealt with in 20 years. The salesman offered me less than half of what my car was worth and proceeded to put down my car and talk about how isn't wasn't worth anything. It was a brand new 2007 Chrysler Pacifica, and he was trying to trade it in on an Aveo and up my mothly payment 100 bucks a month! I don't know how stupid he thought I was, but I told him he was very rude, and disrespectful to put down my car the way he did. He then proceeded to cuss and make remarks about me and threaten me physically. I left and later returned to talk to Joe Holland himself. While he did apologize for his employee, his employee was never reprimanded. I left there and went to Enterprise sales near Patrick St. Nice, courteous, respectful, no lies, no dickering. Best car buying experience I've had. I also got almost twice what Joe Holland was offering. I bought my first hyundai from Joe Holland as well, and they tried to cheat me out of one thousand dollars with their double talk, luckily I caught them up in it, they apologized, and readded the thousand. I will never go back. EVER.

Car Dealer

by Barbara S. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 2,031

Shortly after my husbands death, it was necessary to trade my car. He had always handled that, and I tried to prepare myself for the haggle that I had heard would occur. I asked some people I knew who had knowledge of cars about its approximate trade in value. This was the first dealer I approached. He first pointed out the pictures of people on the wall. He said he always took one of each customer with his or her new car, and he was eager to add my picture to his gallery. I thought this was a silly way to sell anyone a car, and his approach impressed me even less when he offered me roughly half of what I had been told my car was worth on a trade in. I just walked out. He followed me to my car begging me to return, but I refused. I successfully traded the same day with a more reasonable person. When I got home my phone was ringing, and it was the first dealer asking me to return. I told him my car was traded. He wanted to know where I had done business, and I told him that I didnt want to discuss it. He then told me never to return to his garage to have it serviced. I havent.
