Being from Texas, I was excited to maybe get a decent Mexican restaurant in the vicinity and went twice when it first opened. I was sorely disappointed. The only perk is that chips come with the meal and they have mediocre at best salsas to choose from. The menu is beyond complicated. I don??t eat meat or chicken so wanted a burrito in a bowl with essentially everything but meat. First they have all the different names of the burritos, essentially the previous burrito plus xyz items. It takes time to read and understand what is or is not included in each version of the burritos. I ordered one that had the most items w/o meat. When I got up to pay, my burrito with no meat (or tofu) cost several dollars more than my husband??s who is a meat eater and got the burrito with everything! Apparently if not specified in the burrito combination, essentially everything else is considered extra including the beans, grilled onions, grilled peppers and grilled vegetables. Absolutely outrageous! Management should take note on how to stream line the menu like Chilpolte. The price should be based on the protein and then the other items should be FREE (with maybe an exception of guacamole).

The next time I tried something a little simpler, the nachos. How can you mess up nachos? Well Moe??s did. Instead of traditional nachos with melted grated cheese, which they do have, they used ??Moe??s famous queso?. I was a little weary about the queso as it appeared to be similar to the awful cheese sauce you get at the ballpark so I had them put it on the side. The beans, pico de gallo and jalapenos (did not want the olives) were quite sparce and the ??Moe??s famous queso? was beyond awful. Even my native CT friend thought it was appalling. Hate to tell you even East Coast natives have discerning tastes.

The food there is sooo good, and fresh. The staff is always friendly, and very eager to help out. The prices are resonable, and you get a lot for the price.
