I went here yesterday due to the rave reviews I saw on this website, I was visiting from Pennsylvania. I received superb service. The best pedicure & manicure I??ve gotten in a long time & they did not rush. The atmosphere is really soothing, they serve you green tea. They truly emphasize nail health and use all natural products. I will definitely go here every time I??m in NY.

Pros: natural products, very good nail techs, pleasant owner

I NEVER thought a Brazillian Bikini wax could be painless but at Cure I experienced my first painless waxing. it was amazing, professional and thorough. It costs a little more than my previous cheapo pain-filled waxing but it is worth it. The staff is very friendly and the salon has a nice modern spa-like decor. Highly recommended!

I have been a loyal customer at 'Cure since I discovered it in October 2008, and it is amazing. Not only are the owners wonderful Brooklyn entrepreneurs (support local business!) but they offer a wonderful service to a spa-starved neighbourhood. It is usually pretty easy to get an appointment (although walk-ins usually get through quickly as well), and once you do that, they are very punctual. Every customer is offered a cup of tea or water to sip on during their service, and the technicians are attentive and friendly - has a great neighbourhood feel. It caught my eye at first because it looks very chic and clean, but it has kept me coming back because their results are undeniably professional and beautiful. I get everything done here now - waxing, mani/pedis, facials. All services are tailored to your needs and you really feel like the focus is on you.

Big plus - almost painless bikini wax. I got a facial, and my face was glowing for days! They also have a range of products from some local jewelry designers and other businesses on sale as well (got all my Christmas presents here, to rave reviews).

While the prices here might be a little higher than the other choices nearby, the service, atmosphere and results are without rival. Definitely worth shelling out a few extra dollars. Also, they have deals during the week ($30 mani/pedi). I spend most of my time trekking to and from Manhattan, so it's nice to know that I have somewhere to pamper myself on the weekends on this side of the bridge (that's one less train ride and a lot less stress)

I highly, highly recommend 'Cure for all of your spa needs.

Cons: Slightly pricey (but definitely worth it)

I LOVED my first $30.00 mani-pedi at Cure--great price, fantastic technician and extra awesome nails.

BUT my second was a nightmare---the technician rushed through my pedicure; did the bare minimum of working on my dry skin; my toenails and fingernails were cut and filed unevenly; three of my cuticles were cut to the quick so they were bleeding while the others were not trimmed properly; my manicurist overlooked cleaning under my nails.

Listen, I get that being a *natural* nail salon on Fulton Avenue is distinctive, what with all the gel pedicures and acrylic wraps and whatever. But that's not enough for me. For $30-45 dollars, I expect predictable service, no need for band aids and a mani-pedi that looks like a professional did it..

Give it a shot if you have money to burn, a high pain threshold and aren't too worried about what your hands and feet look like.

Ok, so I sometimes get really skeeved out about some of the nail salon choices that we have around the area. I finally found a place that I can put my feet into the water and not worry about getting some weird fungus the next day?

Cure Beauty Bar is located on Fulton (between Waverly and Clinton) near the C train Clinton Washington stop. I went there this weekend? the beauty bar is immaculately clean?the technicians that work with you are truly attentive, and they stay with you throughout the whole process (i.e. you?re getting a mani/ pedi than eyebrows it?s the same person).

Couple of things to note, it?s a natural nail salon?so if you want tips or anything that?s really not your natural nail you?re going to have to go somewhere else. They promote positive nail care. Oh and I think you need appointments on the weekend?otherwise you maybe waiting for awhile.

They also do waxing, facials and I think massages. You can also have a ?Spa Day? with you and your friends during the week.

I went there this weekend with some friends, and got a basic mani ($15) and a special ?Cure pedi ($35) which included an invigorating foot scrub, followed by a soothing foot masque?EXCELLENT!!

Your definitely paying a bit more than you would pay at some of the local spots?but if you want a treat, I?d definitely say stop in.

As a spa fiend I can highly recommend the services and space at Cure. The pedicures left my toes well shaped and groomed. The waxing was thoroughly executed. The best is that the technicians also perform threading which left my brows so perfectly shaped that it was like a facelift.

All in all, a great day in Brooklyn.

While visiting New York, I had the pleasure of popping in and getting a pedicure and a eyebrow wax... Hands down the best waxing I've ever had. Waxer was extremely thorough and shaped my brows beautifully. Pedicure was just as good. Prices are very reasonable, staff very friendly and courteous. I found the jazzy ambiance wonderful and very untypical of the "normal" salon experience. Definately a keeper for Brooklyn!

I just spent a very fantasticly relaxed day at Cure Beauty Bar. My masseuse, Carla, performed one of the best massages I have ever had in my life. Staff was all courteous, good natured and happy. I would recommend a massage here any day of the week. Additionally the waxing and nails were fantastic. This is definitely worth checking out for a day of relaxation. The vibe and decor are very unique and hip. Note- massage for 90 minutes was a great deal at $100. The nails are a bit pricier than some places but the ambience is definitely worth paying up!
