Excellent local bistro. With 7 other eateries on the same block in Caz, it has to be good! Local produce, carefully prepared to order, good wine list and a menu that changes every week. You won't be disappointed... Head chef brings back new cuisine ideas every few months from her travels...

This is a great neighborhood bistro. This restaurant service fresh produce from the region. It has a small and interesting menu. The wine list is also good.

INSIDERS REVIEW: CIRCA NEEDS TO TREAT THEIR EMPLOYEES AS WELL THEY TREAT THEIR ANIMALS!!!!!!

I recently walked out of Circa after a long 11hour shift, the loud bickering of the owners ringing in my ears and tears (and I'm a pretty tough gal) streaming down my face. I was overtired, over taxed, and FED UP!!!
The truth is I have NEVER been treated so poorly by an employer. The job seemed nice, good food, friendly clientelle, and a message I beleived in - sustanible and organic food. GREAT. But then the restaurant fills up with hungry expectant costomers, and there is ME, 1 of me, to seat them, serve them, bus the tables, wash the dishes and a million other things without a break for 5 hours min. And even that was ok- stressfull, but once I got into the rhythm and multitasking I could pretty much handle things - but then when Mr Eric the chef's husband gets nervous or upset, he has the habit of wandering around and yelling, blaming, making wrong assumptions, accusing and generally taking out his anxiety and frustration on his employees - whom only earn waitress minimum of 4.50/hr.

They dont seem to realize that it is ILLEGAL and ABUSIVE to yell and accuse, belittle and threaten employees, to have them work 11 hr double shifts without a break, to have them exposed to a basement full of mold and airborne allergens, to use inappropriate sexual words (one night he and another waitress decided to giggle about bizzarre sexual phrases, a conversation I did not enjoy having to overhear and should not have had to listen to). THEY ARE UNDERSTAFFED AND UNDERKNOWLEDGABLE ABOUT HOW TO TREAT EMPLOYEES

After being wrongly yelled at and accussed once after a particularly hard night where I was over taxed and had said that I would not be able to serve anymore tables and get everyone what they need, and having been made to seat more people ANYWAY - I told them that they could NOT yell at me again. Talking and discussing is fine, and necessary. Yelling and accusing is not. The second time I got yelled at I was so tired and so frustrated and so SICK AND TIRED of the thankless hard work I was putting in that I just walked out the door. Never in my life have I tried so hard and worked so hard just to have someoneelse take out their frustration on me like that. I have never been told I dont work hard, I have never done a bad job at any task I put myself to as a matter of pride in myself. In this job I did everything I could and worked as hard as I could - I even promoted the restaurant to everyone I talked to, my boyfriend offerred to help make them a website. I believed in their mission and wanted to put in 110% to help them achieve their goals. I came early a lot and didnt even sign in early and I never complained- always sorry sorry sorry. I am willing to be corrected when I know I made a mistake, which of course happened from time to time I was only working there for two months so far - and I wasnt even provided with the employee manual until I was a month in. But I will be damned if I will be belittled and yelled at like a child for mistakes that I did not make, or because the owner was frustrated and angry and needed an outlet. I am not a whipping boy- I am a paid employee and deserve every bit of RESPECT that any other human being that walks through that door deserves. I am not a servent, and truth be told, I am smarter and more capable than that kind of job deserves. I graduated at the top of my class from one of the best private schools in my field, and I am just waiting tables to get on my feet and decompress before going back to school. Another of the waitresses at this restauarant also has her degree. GO TO GRAD SCHOOL, GIRLS because no one deserves to be treated like CRAP just because they get paid minimum wage!!!!!!

So if you go there, tip big and be patient because chances are your waitress has had a REALLY LONG day :(
