I drive from Dracut, Ma to Larrys for the Clam Strips and Fries. My husband gets the Fried Haddock Chunks and Fries. It is ALWAYS excellent. Whenever we have guests from out of state we take them there. The comment is always the same, "We can't wait to go back to Larrys".
It's not everywhere you can get fresh fish and Home made (never frozen) French Fries. They also sell a wide variety of other dishes for everyones taste. Parking is great and the people are wonderful.
Will Reopen for the next season in March :)
Can't wait :)

I recently went with my buddy from work, only to recieve cold chowder and cold fries. My mother claims the owners are friends of hers and the food is wonderful, however, i found it to be slightly soggey and old. My only compliment... they sure know how to pick beautiful employees.

Arrived and gave my order to someone on another planet, she did not have a clue, I asked for a smelt plate and she looked at me like I was speaking another language. She asked me if I wanted fries and cole slaw, ok sounded fine. I got the plate, the fries looked like a bunch of rubber bands thrown on the plate, they must have been 6 hours old, greasy and cold, the smelts of which I got 5, were the size of my pinky finger and NO cole slaw. The plate was a bunch of garbage. The so called tartar sauce is only mayo in a container. The only thing edible was the roll, I commented to the girl behind the counter, but she had a blank stare on her face, so I fed the garbage can with the plate. NEVER AGAIN! This was not just an off day, this was GARBAGE!

I love seafood, but my son does not, so I usually order it when I go out. This place may not be 5 star elegant, but the food is consistently great. I recently started going there fairly regularly with an old friend, and the scallops are so addicting! The portions are ginormous and there is plenty of seating available. They do close early, and are only open Wed-Sun, that's my only peeve. I crave Larry's all the time!!

I have been bringing my family to this family owned business for years. The food is always fresh and exceptional. I usually buy a seafood plate and it is over flowing. It could be shared with another person as I can never finish. My wife bounces between the hotdog and the fish chunk basket. My four kids all have there own favorites. We always order a side of onion rings to pass around. If you have never tried it I myself highly recommend it. As for it being greasy thats totally untrue. It is however seafood and it is deep fried. It is very juicy and fresh.

Been eating there for more than 20 years. Best fried seafood and best fish chowder of anywhere I've been. The service is fast and the help is friendly.

Absolutely love the fresh shrimp! Plump, crispy and never greasy. They have a variety of shrimp - Maine, butterfly etc.

I'm from Maryland and my parents live in N.H. I visit every summer and one of our favorite traditions is going to Larry's for their fried clams. They're absolutely delicious. Covered with a light crispy batter that helps the naturally sweet nuttiness of the clams come through. The portions are more than generous and we always end up getting one platter for every two people. The fries and onion rings are equally delicious. Then there's the service which is comparable to the wonderful food, fast and courteous with just a smidgen of that New England attitude I've come to treasure. I'd recommend this place to everyone!

We went to Larry's last night (Aug. 17, 2007) for the first time in years and we were both so disappointed. My husband got the scallop basket and there were about15 half scallops (they cut them in half) sitting in grease, and french fries. Not a lot for almost $12. A little roll was included, no butter, and it would have been great if they served cole slaw. I got fish and chips for $7.50 and there was one piece of fish which was not cooked....and just french fries. Very greasy and disappointing. For a seafood restaurant the quantity should have been much more and the quality should have been top notch. We will not go back.

Sounds like an oxymoron but on a whim our family decided to stop in and try this place. It would be our fifth New England seafood experience prior to moving to this area years ago.

I had the fried clams. They were light and crispy with a delicate flavor. You can tell that they do not intermix their oils with say onion rings or other items that can taint the flavor of the clams. I just wish they gave you more. However for the price the platter that I ordered was quite large; lots of fries and onion rings (which were very good).

They also have an ice-cream area just in case you want to round out your seafood feast.

I would certainly go back there again.
