This is the 2nd time I've visited a Flanigan's Restaurant. The first time I was sick to my stomach within an hour of arriving home. This visit, a different location, I did not get sick, but the retaurant did nothing to regain my confidence and I doubt I'll be visiting another Flanigan's again.

We arrived at the Flanigan's on Southern Blvd., West Palm Beach and were seated immediately. We ordered the smoked fish appetizer. When it arrived, it was served with tortilla's and carrot and celery sticks. I tasted it and asked what it was made with...I commented that it tasted like my grandmothers chunk light tuna, with too much sweet pickled relish and too little mayo. We asked the waiter, who scurried off to find the answer to our question. Upon his return, all he could tell us was that no one had any idea what it was made of, it arrived at the restaurant pre-made.

Now...that's sounds just so yummy and enticing, doesn't it? We both ordered the tuna steak. I ordered mine blackened and my boyfriend ordered his mesquite grilled, both were supposed to be cooked RARE. (Just an FYI....Tuna should always be cooked rare if you're not having it sashimi style) Anyway, dinner arrived and I cut mine and bit into it to find it seemed to be well done. I cut down the middle of the steak to see and found it was cooked kind of medium....far from being rare. the other tuna stead was cooked properly...and and tasted a hell of a lot better then mine did.

The vegetables, which were supposed to be steamed, were served in a plate of watery butter and were less then appetizing and in fact the only thing that seemed to be cooked properly was the baked potato. Really...how can anyone screw up a baked potato...that would be kind of difficult.

We were not impressed with the food, but at least I didn't get sick this time. I won't be returning for a 3rd time, that's for sure.

PROS: None
CONS: Lots
