Great classsy seafood restaurant overlooking the water. They usually have some very good specials and the desserts are very good as well.

It's hard to be in Salem and not eat at Victoria Station while you are visiting. First, this place is HUGE. They have a ton of tables so you very rarely have to wait. The menu offering will have something that you are looking for and everything I have had there has been very good. They have a good size salad bar as well. Parking right near the restaurant can be limited during the summer months, but there is always parking available in the lot in front of the restaurant that is a short walk from the restaurant itself. It's in a great location right next to a marina and they have a patio (half open and half covered) to enjoy lunch or dinner outside on a warm summer day.

Victoria Station is located in a beautiful setting right on Pickering Wharf in Salem. With spectacular water views, an outdoor patio in the summer, and roaring fireplaces in the winter, this restaurant knows how to set ambiance. The menu ranges in American cuisine, with prime rib being their specialty. And the prime rib is outstanding! The highlight of any meal at Victoria Station is the never-ending salad bar, which is only a couple bucks extra with an entree. It is expansive and includes many types of salads including the traditional lettuce varieties as well as potato, macaroni, three-bean, pasta, etc. All the fix-ins are available like veggies, bacon bits, croutons, and cottage cheese, culminating with a nice variety of dressings. The salad bar also offers something sweet, both Jell-o and Waldorf Salad. If you've never had Waldorf Salad before - try it. It consists of a creamy sweet sauce over apples, walnuts and raisins. A perfect dessert hidden in the salad bar.Pricing for most meals can be a bit pricey, with prime rib dinners starting at over $18. Your best bet is to come for their lunch specials which offer the same salad bar for half the price.A great traditional restaurant in an atmospheric section of Salem!

PROS: Excellent salad bar, fantastic prime rib, spectacular view
CONS: Pricey. limited parking
