Amazing Savings

First off, awesome staff! The bulk section continues to be amazing. The key for A/S I've found is to stock up when you find something spectacular because it goes fast. Sure, many of their products are close dated but in my experience if I was even slightly dissatisfied the cashier was very understanding and easily exchanged merchandise. I also must say non-perishables are an absolute steal! But now to top it off, the new location is much more convenient for me. Located at 45 S French Broad Ave in The Downtown Market where there's lots of parking and other samples of local artistry.

Today was my first time shopping in Amazing Savings and I was pleasantly surprised, not blown away, but impressed to say the least. I went to the one on Sweeten Creek Road - limited parking, very tight aisles, grody black rubberish floors but yes, I will go back. As the daughter of two butchers I looked through the meat selection and steered clear (no pun intended) because it wasn't up to par, but I did purchase a couple dairy items. Be absolutely sure to check dates as the items I bought were very close to being out of date.

The prices were, frankly, amazing! A bag of Terra sweet potato chips cost $1, whole grain english muffins were $2, a can of organic green olives $1. I ended up buying approximately 15 different items and the total bill came to 16.08 - tax included. The only bad experience about the trip was that my purse accidently hit a bottle (like I said, small aisles) and it fell off the shelf and shattered. There was an awesome staff that immediately rushed over to clean up the mess.

Overall, they get a good review from me and I will be back for organic bargains!

A after shopping for years at the store on an almost daily basis i won't be going back!! In today's changing economy I found it to be my only affordable source for a few staple items for myself. Today I went in to find that the 9.99 protein I had been buying for a few months there is now 29.99!!!! Three times the price!!! Thanks for the amazing price hike!!! I won't be back! Totally disappointed! Second time you've done it, I'm really unhappy and almost offended by your greed. KEEP THEM. If you knew anything about protein you would know that you can buy much b better quality for that Price. The price is what sold the product not the product itself!

Every time I visit it is even better than before. Their organic produce is stellar, the locally grown grain-fed beef is outstanding, their spices, their dairy case, and all of their dry goods are top-notch and the prices truly are amazing.

We went to buy some marinade sauces for JUST A DOLLAR EACH!! you can't beat that! There is also another one in black mountain, NC. it's really worth your every dollar!

the toughest part of this store in asheville is getting your buggy across that bumpy pitted floor... but that's the price you pay for being able to find high quality items at far less then the usual price. many items have reached or exceeded shelf life but you can still win with those. if you end up with something bad, just bring it back and they will allow you to exchange it for something else. no biggie. their produce is hit and miss but you can always find something in great shape. cheeses are always awesome. bulk bins are great. the chips are an incredible deal. it's allowed me to sample alot of foods I would normally not buy because they cost too much but here I rarely lose anyway. oh... and chocolate! Top quality chocolates always good! sorbets that are great... awesome all natural frozen pizzas a lot of the time! I do most of my grocery shopping here now and I literally cut my grocery bill by 2/3 plus I get snacks and extras now I normally never would have gone for. so... the bumpy floor is worth it.

As the others have said, check the dates of the items you buy. This is a great place to shop, they have local Sourwood Honey and preserves. They also are selling a meat that is Grass Fed at an amazing price. The only thing that would make it complete is if they could sell raw milk....

I took my first trip to the store, it was OK. A little dark inside and a nasty floor. Prices were good but some products were way out of date. I bought pizza crusts but they were moldy when I opened them to use them and had to throw out. The chips were a bargain. I doubt that I will go back

For Organic products, food and the like without the price of the retail health food stores in this area then this is your one stop shop.
BUT!!! Watch your dates and freshness. When possible try to sample to assure you are getting a product you will really enjoy. This being a situation found in all salvage grocers.
The pricing is truly Amazing and there are in-store incentives such as a 10% discount if you purchase $50.00 or more. That is an additional $5.00 to spend or save on top of what you will already find there.
The selection is good and there is a variety of Fresh Produce along with perks such as plants,cosmetics and toiletries.
Also a great place for meeting friends and networking as is often done in our local green markets in this area.
Enjoy the visit if nothing more than to see for yourself. There is often hot coffee to enjoy while in the shop.
