New Wave Hair Salon

My experience here was magnificiant. They know what to do when it comes to hair for short or long. For example, Peter knows how to cut hair. Knows how to do top of the line designs for short hair. Jenny is a Extrodinary stylist. She is AMAZING, with long hair for guys or girls. Chris is a excellent haircut stylist. I recommend anyone with wack hairdo's to come to New Wave Hair Salon :)

My expierence with New Wave was TERRIBLE. The lady who did my hair completley disregarded what I asked for and two years later the horrible choppy layers(that I didn't even ask for) are still growing out. Seriously don't go here, its honestly one of my biggest hair regrets.

I have been to several high end salons in Columbus like Penzone, Kenneths and have paid a lot of money for some pretty terrible haircuts.
I discovered new wave about a year ago and am happy to report I have found the best place for a hair cut in Columbus. It is also very reasonable- they only charge $28 for a very detailed hair cut. I go to Chris for my haircuts and Jen for highlights. Her highlights are amazing! In addition, they are all genuinely nice people- I HIGHLY RECCOMEND!!!!

I've been a customer of New Wave for years... Although, I have tried other places, I always end up coming back to New Wave. My whole family are loyal customers there also! They know exactly how to cut my hair without having to repeat it at every visit and they are very up-to-date in the latest hair styles, colors and products. In the mood for a few strands of some fun hot pink hair extensions... go to New Wave. And it's affordable!

Finding a great hair stylist is like finding a great pair of shoes that makes you feel and look great! I've been going to New Wave for over 8 years now and have been very happy! My hair has a mind of its own...dry, thick, frizzy, wavy & coarse hair...which means that it takes a certain kind of hair stylist to do their magic. I've spent hundreds of dollars at countless high-end & fancy hair salons and discovered that New Wave tops them all. It's a humble no-frills kind of place which is absolutely perfect because all I need is someone that knows how to cut my hair and do it well. I found that Chris & his wife Jen give great attention & both do a fantastic job at what they do. One can't go wrong for they make a super team! Chris does great haircuts & finishing touches and Jen does superb coloring & highlighting! One also would find that their prices are quite reasonable too, which wouldn't burn a hole in your wallet. If you find someone that does a great job on your hair, make sure to stick with him/her. I found that over the years, Chris & Jen have learned so much about my hair and how to treat it right and I wouldn't trade that experience for hype! Thanks for moving from NYC and setting up shop in Columbus!

I do not believe this is a business that wants to do business. On my first visit to the salon my appointed spot was given away to a walk in. Even when I indicated I was willing to wait until the walk in was done, the owner clearly did not want to do business with me - he was already focused on his next appointment and said he would cut my hair when he could get a few minutes until his next appointment and couldn't give a definite time of when he could focusd on me. I left with a good bye, but of course nobody responded. If you want good customer service and a good experience, I would not recommend this place.

Owner Chris Lam has great skills in hair cutting and styling. I've been their customers for years. Reservation is recommended but walk-ins are always welcome. Chris tends to prefer shorter bangs despite the request...so need to keep an eye.
