Nice Place to Dine, especially in the warm weather
by Anonymous
I've never had a bad meal at the Stonebridge Restaurant. Their fish is very good, the presentation is always nice, good bread, nice salads. Very polite wait staff. We often bring out-of-town guests in the summertime and sit outside with a view of the waterfall. It's a very busy spot, so be certain to make reservations or be prepared to wait on the weekends.

Worms In The Fish?

We ate there a few years ago for a special Mother's Day dinner. We saved up the money because the prices are not very low. All of us ordered the fish n' chips and as we were eating I looked at the fish I had just bit into and saw that there was something about the circumference of a pencil eraser in it. So I dissected it with the tip of my knife and was horrified to discover it was a tiny worm, curled up into a circle. My family all looked at theirs and sure enough we had all been eating wormy fish! I wanted to throw up! I was in tears and my husband asked for the manager. He came to our table and squatted down and whispered to us so the other diners would not overhear the problem!!! THIS WAS NOT RIGHT - HE HAD A DUTY TO WARN OTHER DINERS EATING THE WORMY FISH! He said that sometimes the fresh-caught fish are infested with worms but cooking it had destroyed any bacteria or disease and we were not harmed by ingesting the fish. He told us we would not have to pay for the entire meal and he offered us free dessert. We declined, got the heck out of there and we've never returned. We were all so grossed out! FISH EATERS BEWARE!

I CANNOT SAY IT ISN'T THE BEST SEAFOOD IN THE AREA, IN FACT I BELIEVE IT IS THE BEST !!!!
