They send you completely different items than what you order. They do replace your ordered items with cheaper ones without any notification and they charge you for the real item you order which is more expensive than what you receive.
They are very rude to the customers. Their customer service insult you in their replies through emails. They seriously insult you, I am not kidding unfortunately. Completely unprofessional. Similar to the other comments below, just STAY AWAY.

I have been shopping in tulumba.com since 2007. However, they changed their carrier to FedEx and my problems started. It's never opn time anymore, and my perishable items are waiting in the FedEx truck for a week. I keep sending emails and they just say "sorry". That's all. So, I gave up. I don't do shopping anymore. I spent thousands so far, and they don't even care about me. Bad service, rude people.

My experience w/them is far from fruitful. I ordered a rolling pin from them. The item came to me damaged. I immediately called, and spoke to Mustafa, a supervisor. He told me to take a picture of the damaged item and email it to them at my convenience.

I did that a couple of weeks later, but I received no reply from them. I called again, and the lady I spoke to asked me to sent the email again. I did.

They replied by saying that they could not help me for a refund/exchange, because it had been more than a month (which would not have been if they had replied to my first email, which they choose to ignore)

I called again, and not only was Mustafa not helpful, but he hang up on me.

Will NEVER do business with them again. Horrible item, horrible customer service.

I was excited about the variety of items available! Free shipping was offered in orders exceeding $ 100 so I took advantage of this. Two of the items were perishable so I assumed they would ship these appropriately. To my horror, my order was 7 days in transit and the two food items were warm and moldy!! Tulumba was very adamant that I should have clicked on the links and read the fine print and somehow figured out that I should have paid to have those two items shipped special - but that was not at all clear! The best offer they could come up with is to re-sell me the spoiled items at half off, providing I pay the refrigerated shipping costs. Disappointed?? You bet! I am going back to Taste of Turkey.com where they care about their customers!

I've been shopping from here for 3 years now. I've seen them blossom from a small, frigid web site to this awesome presence, and their cute store on 3rd ave in Brooklyn is a nice touch to the neighborhood :))

They sell stuff from Turkey mainly, everything you can imagine: from books to souvenirs, movies, music, food, you name it. Everything is imported.

What I really like about them, and what gives them the "edge" is their customer service. Except for weekends and irregular hours you can always find someone on the chat line and the land line. And if you can't they answer customer service emails within 24 hours.

Their shipments are incredibly / surprisingly on time; they also ship world-wide. I have some Turkish friends and their families send them stuff from this website, they pay, and it's delivered to their son's, daughter's door. If that's not cool, I don't know what is.

PROS: intuitive & user friendly web site, excellent service, quality goods
CONS: poor marketing, not enough translated literature
