My laptop was sent to Blue Raven for repair through a Staples warranty. When they shipped it back via UPS, they insured my $750 computer for $100. UPS misdelivered the item and it was ruined, and UPS agreed to pay for it, but only the stated $100 that Blue Raven said it was worth. UPS paid BLUE RAVEN the money because they are the shipper, and Blue Raven has refused to give us that money or fairly compensate us for the remaining value of our computer. DO NOT send your electronics to them: in one transaction they managed to depreciate my laptop to $100 and to take the insurance payment for themselves, while I am out $750. Their customer service is horrible. Please don't get yourself into this same situation

This company sends out low-quality parts and doesn't stand by their work. Their website is fraudulent. Go with a reputable business, not this one. You will likely lose money.

Her is how this company works.. You order a motherboard from them, They then charge your credit card for the part AND a $280 core fee. A core fee is basically to guarantee that you will send the part back to them so they can refurbish it and sell it again. I am ok with that but not th eprocess and long waits for getting my money back. Once they get the core back, They eventually send you a CHECK in the mail. Why they dont credit your card back is beyond me. The whole process for getting my money back for the core took 60 days and numerous e-mails. Oh and another thing...You get stuck paying to ship the part back($12) I also got charged 2 months interest on my card($9) Plus I had to pay for the original shipping($9). So they dont really save you any money. Ebay is much more efficient. I will never do business with these clowns again.

I bought my laptop at CompUSA and the $400 extended warranty for it. CompUSA went out of business here in Austin, TX but the warranty is handled through Blue Raven. They sent a box, I packaged it shipped it back and received my laptop the next week. The box was literally destroyed, the laptop was not secured, there was water damage on it, and all of the software they requested I put in it (restore CD's) are now gone. This on top of the fact that they didn't even FIX THE PROBLEM. I am currently requesting the BBB to investigate before I submit a lawsuit for stolen items.

I sent my Toshiba G35-AV650 back to Microcenter where I bought it. The video had failed, but I had an extended warranty on the computer, so I thought I was in good hands. Microcenter uses Blue Raven for all their extended warranty work. Two weeks later I get the notebook back. I check it out and everything seemed normal. Then one night I went to play an HD DVD and send the video out to my HD display. I go to plug in the HDMI cable and I couldn't believe it, the port was gone! Somehow Blue Raven managed to get a motherboard from an older Qosmio into my machine. It seems they use used parts almost exclusively at Blue Raven. The last thing they want to do is buy a new board from the manufacturer. In the future, I will only buy on-line and get the manufacturer's extended warranty. It's hard to believe it was an accident. I think they just tried to get away with using the older board, hoping I never used the port.

While I was working in a computer repair shop that supported both PCs and Macs, we would often run into systems that for one reason or another would not be covered by warranty. In the case of PCs, parts were almost always easy to come by. But for Macs, it was hard to get parts from anywhere but Apple. Enter (then) Pre-Owned Electronics. They did one thing and did it well, they provided quality repaired/refurbished Apple parts.
These days, they provide mail-in repair service for Apple and PC branded laptops. They have also recently added retail sales to their line-up.
Their support people are pleasant to talk with on the phone (or email) and are quick to respond.
If you need service, you should consider Blue Raven Technology, Inc.
