Elaine Allison, owner of Canine's Best Behavior, is a high pressured lady. So BEWARE! Here's my tale: got a puppy, wanted crate training, called Allison on reccomendation from Centinela Pet store. Never having had a puppy, I was a patsy for the fast-talking Allison who said I HAD to have my puppy go to her "puppy parties". I also arranged for a private lesson. The trainer who she sent was fine, and I signed up for 7 private lessons for $675. After that, I went to the puppy party which was totally BOGUS -- there was only one puppy there! Further, after watching Allison work, I realized that food was their ONLY training tool and finally, the assigned trainer's schedule didn't allow for her to come on the days I wanted. So I called two days before the start of the training contract and cancelled. AND Allison refused to REFUND ANY MONEY. I offered a settlement. She is a JERK. Stay away. OR be VERY VERY CAREFUL. Do not sign ANYTHING. Her contract is clever -- you have to initial everywhere EXCEPT where it says that there are no refunds. EVEN IF YOU CANCEL BEFORE THE FIRST LESSON!!! Even if she didn't LEGALLY have to refund money, wouldn't you think you'd at least give SOME of it back??? Just on ethical behavior. PLUS she said that if I decided to USE the lessons, she wouldn't give me the one trainer I knew but send SOMEONE ELSE to my HOUSE. Believe me, you don't want THESE FOLKS at YOUR HOUSE. So there it is...big thumbs down to CANINE'S BEST BEHAVIOR>
