I used to freq to this restaurant but not anymore because we got tired of long wait even when there was no customers! The scene there are nice but the service are above poor. The food is OK. Had a burnt chicken at 2 occasion. One time I had to return my order because of hair in cheese topping the manager was nice enough to replace it at free charge...still I ain't going back. Enough is enough.

We have been here several times, once with outstanding service, and other times not as satisfactory. We waited a long time to be seated, and the food was very slow in coming out, even the kids meals! We typically order them first with the appetizers so they don't have as long to wait, but they held them with our food, and the plates were way too hot for a young child to handle, and I know they had sat quite a long time.We went for lunch, and service was quick and outstanding! Drinks stayed filled, and the server was very polite.I think it depends on who you get as a server here, but it's been too hit or miss for us to go there on a regular basis.

I had to wait 30 mintues for a table for 3 adults and 2 children , one in a high chair, and they were sitting other party of 4 at tables where we could have sit. Than the waitess took 30 mintues to get our Cheese Fries to us(we had to reorder them) that were cold and salty another 30 mintues for the salad that was just lettuce, carrots and cheese. When we finally got our food after 11/2 hours my steak was not meduim well but well cooked to the point of some places were burnt. I did not send it back because I did not know how much longer that would take and with two small children I did not want to wait any longer.
Finally after we ate my daughter and I took the young child outside because he was getting tried of sitting. My husband stay to pay the bill and was in the restaurant another 20 minutes doing this.
OH and there were party coming in after us getting their food and eatting and leaving while we were waiting on ours food to come.
I will said that the Train did keep the children quite for a while.

I like the Sage Brush Restaurant because of the relaxed atmosphere. They have a toy train going around a track up near the ceiling of the restaurant. It serpentines around the dining rooms. You also get a bucket of roasted salted peanuts for your table when you enter. Of course the shells are meant to go on the floor! I think the steaks are one of the best around and they have many to choose from. Another favorite of ours is the grilled chicken salad. It is large and you can make two meals out of it. We also like the bread which is a lot like the bread that you get at the Outback. They bring it on a cutting board with butter. There is plenty of parking with easy access off of Arbor Hill and back to Main Street. They do get busy around dinner hour so get there early if you do not want to have to wait.
