Ranney Park is one of the nicest parks in the city. Located on East Poplar Street, it's tucked in the heart of a neighborhood. It has a lot of amenities including a basketball court, a baseball diamond, picnic and park benches, swings and playground equipment, water fountains and a hogan where gatherings can be held. There is both street parking and a parking area available.

The park was established in 1938 as a memorial park to Walter Roy Ranney. An addition was added in 1997 by Elizabeth Ranney Youmans, Cleo Graves and the Hogan Restoration Committee. This is a lovely little area with Greco-Roman statuary, an artistic sundial, gardens and a covered bench.
