I can't even begin to tell you how terrifying my visit to this salon was! I genuinely mean it!! I'm not just complaining or giving out for no reason. Let me fill you in.... Well it started out as a normal salon experience only the stylist began to apply black die to my BLOND hair, I began to get nervous but the owner Judith insisted that it would be much lighter when dried. As I sat in that chair on my 21st Birthday I listened to Judith speak incredibly bad about her very own clients. A client had just exited the salon and she decided to sit down and tell me about the young ladies horrible mole which she was treating with skin bleach. I was horrified that she would be so iggnorant as to gossip in such a cruel way. It gets worse... My hair cost $210 for ruining it. I paid stupidy, I now admit, but in the mist of being shocked and rushing to my birthday party I did not think too rationally. When I got home after spending 5hrs in that place my friends were amazed at how my hair looked, I ran to my bathroom to discover how black my hair was the so called highlights that they put on my head had turned green. It was the most upsetting experience ever. The next day I went to the salon only to have Judith tell me that she had made me elegant and her 25yrs experience proved that fact. She screamed and made racial comments to my friend, she then shouted at me "why are you so upset over your hair when people are having their heads blown off in a war". you would not believe how mentally ill this woman is. We were forced to call Irving police station as she became extremely erratic. Luckily the police officer came to my apartment and took a long report about her, unfortunately she would not give him my money back but he apologized on her behalf to me and my friend. He agreed that she most likely suffered from schizophrenia. Please if you like your hair and do not want to be abused stay away from this place. I am counting the days till that place is shut down as that women is a menace to society.

Is it appropriate to write, "They suck" here? I found a very good stylist at this salon, but the owner was so insufferable I couldn't bring myself to keep going back most of the time. I even asked if there ever was a time the owner, Judith, wasn't lording over the place, and she said no. Judith Martin, is a braggart of highest proportion, and never fails to seize a moment to expound upon her talent and virtue as a businesswoman and beauty artist. But the salon is poorly staffed, poorly equipped, poorly lit, and poorly maintained to the extent I'm surprised they haven't been shut down.

The "stations" are fed electricity through an elaborate means of extension cords and surge protectors. You cannot see your color or cut for the overly high-mounted dim lights with no supporting fill. Forget going in the summer, for she's too cheap to provide sufficient air conditioning for the comfort of her clients. The last time I was there--and I mean the LAST time--she said my usual person had gone and one of her "best" new stylists would take care of me. The girl looked like she was barely 12, and worked like she was still in hair school. When she asked if I wanted a full washed or just a cut via spritzing I knew I was in trouble. I was NOT at Supercuts! I was going to leave, but Judith said she'd do my hair herself. Now I know why she's an owner and not an active stylist. It will grow out. That's what they say, anyway.

I managed to track down my former stylist. Yay!
