They have some unique stuff, but the price is a little high compared to what I have seen at other fair trade stores. Also, I don't like that they are not at all fair trade certified. How do I know that the money is actually doing what they say it is? Quit making unsubstantiated claims Beleza. If you do what you say that you do it is not difficult to get certified. Show us the proof.

I had bought jewelery from this store. Although their collection is nice, I felt it was a bit expensive. They do have a nice collection of scarves as well.

Beleza is a Fair Trade store located in Cameron Village next to Baskin Robbins. The store is locally owned by a NC State Professor, who is passionate about showcasing villagers work from around the world and promoting the effect fair trade has on peoples lives, and his wife..

They have personally helped a village in Madagascar create the first all-women co-op recognized by the government. The store features Lambas (similar to scarves - handmade silk) and beautiful jewelry. You can check out the process and history of the lambas at www.africanlambas.com. In addition, they have committed part of the store to design students in the College of Textiles at NC State. This store is about providing people with the support they need for the work they do.

I am impressed with the quality of jewelry for the price. I have purchased numerous pieces and have received many compliments. They have a store website at www.shopbeleza.com and plans are for them to be on line with all their items sometime in January.
