Tickle Me Pony Parties

Overall those attending the party enjoyed having the full petting zoo. The attendants were friendly and polite and prompt. It was successful in that regard because everyone enjoyed petting the animals. However, I was disappointed with the size of the zoo. I was expecting it to be the center and main attraction of our party but it was small and the enclosure was barely 6 feet across. I was also disappointed with the tattoo painting. For $45.00 there was a basket of small stickers. It was nothing like the face painting I have seen done or expected. I also had the hardest time connecting with personnel at Tickle Me Ponies. They never seem to answer their phone or respond to emails promptly if at all. Only when they had difficulty putting my credit card through did I hear from them. Bottom line: they did bring some cute animals for the children to pet, but I was soooo glad I provided other entertainment for the children because if I had relied only on the petting zoo, it would of been a much bigger disappointment. Having a pony for the children to ride would of made it great but I paid $380.00 for the zoo and tattoo's and I think that was enough.

I have used Stacey Young for two parties and both were a great success. We had a pony come to our home in Castro Valley and give rides for my child's 3rd birthday party and for the fourth birthday party we had the "mini-zoo" come. Both times the Pony Party people were prompt, thorough and above all, very very good with both the children and the animals. They stayed beyond the hour we contracted for, answered all questions and gave multiple rides to all the children as we did not have a large number of kids attending. The highlight of the mini-zoo was the number and variety of animals roaming around the enclosed space set up in our yard. At one point one of the chickens laid an egg and the miniature pot-bellied pig ate the egg. The kids were beyond excited. They even got to feed all the animals, all of which were calm and even-tempered.

It's pricey. Between $100 local to Brentwood and the $200 I paid for service to Castro Valley but you get a lot for your money and nobody who attends will ever forget how much fun they had. Especially your child. Mine is still talking about it 3 years later.
