The small lawfirm I work for hired Friendly Computers to install a server and to provide monthly maintenance. I have been very happy with their service. The technicians are very knowledgable, friendly and are very responsive if I am having a problem or have questions - and I generally ask alot of questions.

I got a virus on my computer on a Sunday night, took the computer in on a Monday, and had it returned virus free and clean on Tuesday! Great job and friendly staff!

I'd heard so many good things about Friendly Computers so when my laptop crashed I took it to them. I was impressed with the fast efficient service and the reasonable price. The owners and staff at Friendly Computers surpassed my expectations.

Not friendly. The owner of the company is a old man, who know nothing about computers. Only his workers know about computers. Why would someone run a computer repair shop and not know about computers. They charge way too much. BEWARE of these people.

When I met Marlene through BNI, I was impressed with her knowledge and generosity. She will come to the aid of anyone who needs it, whether they ask or not. She gives of herself and her time tremendously and is interested in helping people solve their problems. The review below cannot possibly be true and it's unfortunate that someone would write lies about another company that is doing things right. I took my laptop to Friendly Computers years before I ever knew Marlene and was very impressed with the gentleman who helped me figure out what the problem was with it. It turned out to be a very simple fix (I should have known better!) and he didn't even charge me. He just fixed it and I was out the door quickly- very happy to have my problem solved by someone who actually cared. God bless Friendly Computers and may they continue to prosper with their 'Givers Gain' mentality!

I took my computer to these guys. They keep it longer then they said they would. Charged me 350$ They did not fix my problems! Then the coumputer crashed. So I took it to advance around the corner. The asked me why one of the hard drives was missing. And the other one is not the one the computer came with. And its only 60 gb and defective. Not only did friendly rip me off for 350$ They took my hard drives.
I bought this computer brand new. No one ever worked on it till I took it to this guys.
So I went and talked to the owner. Needless to say he was not to friendly.
Beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tim M. - Had we been given the opportunity to discuss this issue with you, we would have reviewed the work completed and we would have reached a suitable and satisfying result for both you and Friendly Computers. I assure you that we would never "steal" hard drives from a customer. We don't do business that way and we have no reason to do such a thing. In fact, we pride ourselves in being completely honest with every customer no matter the circumstance. It is interesting that when I review all 250+ jobs we performed in September 2010 (when you wrote this review), there isn't a single person with the first name Tim in our system for September. It has come to our attention that a couple of competitors in the area have attempted to write a review here and there saying negative things about us. It is unfortunately that they choose to conduct their professional lives in this manner.

I want to thank you for the TREMENDOUS service experience that I recently received from Friendly Computers!

As you know, I had taken my laptop in for some service work and dropped it off at your store one morning. I returned later that afternoon to check the status of the repair and was told by Robert Smith that there was an unanticipated and rather lengthy download necessary to complete the repair and that it would probably take 20-30 more minutes to complete. That was fine with me, I said. When I had brought it in that morning, I really had no idea what the scope of the repair might entail, nor how long it might take, so I was content to sit in the waiting area up front while Robert finished up. This was my last stop of the day before I headed back to my home in Huntsville.

Over the next half hour I busied myself reading the magazines you had on display and essentially blended in to the surroundings as your staff went about their usual duties. I want you to know that I was amazed at what I observed. First of all, to have all of your service techs out in front for all to see and hear is remarkable because it requires that they each remain aware that they are constantly ??on stage?. They did you proud. From the way that RJ answered the phone, to the manner with which walk in traffic was treated, I was really impressed. In fact when there were no phone calls nor customers in the room, your techs impressed me with their professionalism in the way they dealt with their work and with each other. And THIS at the end of the day when things can get a little lax! Meanwhile, Robert checked back with me twice during this time, updating me on the progress with my laptop. In fact, the thing that impressed me most was when a man walked in off the street and asked Robert what it would take to fix a particular problem he was having with his computer. Robert??s response was one that quite clearly had the gentleman??s best interests in mind, taking into consideration the cost and correct diagnosis of the problem, but the patron would have none of it. If Robert couldn??t give him a better answer than that NOW, then he would just take it to somebody else who could(probably his brother-in-law or similar ??expert?!). Wow. That??s a challenge for any of us to handle, especially at the end of a long day. Here??s the part that amazed me most. Once the man left the store, most people would have made some kind of comment about the situation, either to coworkers who had witnessed the scene or even under their breath. Robert simply turned and went back to his work with NO APPARENT REACTION WHATSOEVER!! I was really impressed with that!

The download was completed shortly thereafter, I paid my bill, and headed north to Huntsville, happy to have a computer that works once again! I had plenty of time to reflect on my visit to Friendly Computers and I wanted you to know about my experience there and just how impressed I am with your staff and your company. You both obviously put a great deal of emphasis on customer service and it was apparent to me in so many ways that afternoon. I am absolutely confident in Friendly Computers and am happy to recommend your services!

I have used the services of Friendly Computers for several years ?? since they first moved to the Clear Lake area. They have serviced my home computer and business laptop, as well as computers for other family members. They are always so nice to work with. They are professional and have the computers fixed on schedule and fixed right the first time. (Unlike my experience with another big box store that had my computer longer than they said and then did not fix it properly!) I would highly recommend their services to any home user or business owner who needs computer repairs, servicing or IT support.

I have never known a computer repair company that will actively look to help save you money. With all of the spy this and spy that out there Billy and his crew give you advise that they would give their friends and family. For a guy that is not computer smart i need them as a "Friend"! Keep up the great job!

Friendly Computers does all of the servicing of our office computers. When I had issues at home, I immediately turned to them. They came out on both occasions and fixed the issues in a fraction of the time that I wasted trying to do it myself. Their technicians are knowledgeable and professional, and the entire staff is friend. I would highly recommend them for any servicing needs or computer issues.

My name is Jeff Adcock and I am the president of Veritrans (Verified Transactions Systems, LLC), a credit card proocessing company for businesses with national HQ in the Clear Lake area. Everything we do is computer based. As wev'e grown and added servers and additional work stations, we have had several different individuals and companies that we have contracted with to handle our IT needs.

The thing that I appreciate most about Friendly Computers is thier integrity and honesty. For those of you who are business owners, youv'e probobly figured out that there is often more than one way to tackle an IT issue. Depending on who your talking to, there are several different options to solving an issue, involving vastly different amounts of money. Everyone will tell you that thier way is the right way, and often the only way.

When we started doing doing business with with Friendly, I was extremely frustrated with the service and often conflicting information I was getting from thier competitors. They came out and spent a whole day with 2 of thier staff members at our office just doing an evaluation, and then then gave me several options on how to handleour problems. Billy, one of thier service people, is the most knowledgable person that we have worked with yet. He explained our issues clearly, came up with a solution that worked for us, and then got the job done.

We cannot afford to be down for any length of time, and when we have called them they have responded immediately, often fixing the problem remotely.

This wasn't our first rodeo when it comes to computer service companies, and I am happy to report that Veritrans has found a partner we can depend on.

I would strongly reccomend that you give these guys a try for your IT needs.
