5 Stars: Great Travel Agency (by Lisa W.)

STA Travel, specifically Marin, helped me plan the most amazing honeymoon to Paris, Greece, and Amsterdam. They helped us stay within our budget and did research on all of the places we stayed to make sure that they weren't dumps! There was even a special treat awaiting us in each room when we arrived because they had called ahead and told them we were on our honeymoon. I would never use another travel agent. STA is the way to go!

5 Stars: I hella <3 the ucb STA Travel (by review s.)

Most people don't even realize that there is an STA on campus, too. They are sort of in a funky hidden location near the new Naia Lounge in Lower Sproul. They are usually not very crowded and the people that work there seem really nice and knowledgeable.
I just got back from Europe in Nov. and they hooked me up with my ticket, ISIC card, Eurail pass, hostel card and travel insurance. I feel like I saved a ton of time by just going to them instead of trying to figure out each thing online. They let me hold my reservation while I double checked everything with my brother and got my funds in order, which was great because I hate that feeling of finding a cheap ticket online, but then having to make the decision on the spot Usually if I think about it, by the time I go back it's gone, but if you jump on the online deal, once it's done it's done and you can't really change your mind or your plans unless you are wiling to shell out hundreds of extra dollars. My ticket from STA Travel was refundable and I could have changed the return date for just $25. Where else can you get that?!
I will definitely use them again for my next trip.
Oh, and the airline lost my bag on the way to Madrid and I didn't get my stuff for 3 days. I called the travel insurance people and they said I could go ahead and just buy whatever I needed and they would reimburse me. And after I got home and filed the claim with them, they sent me a check in like 2 weeks. It turned an awful situation into a pleasant surprise, and I now I am going to always buy travel insurance, even if I'm just going to the east coast. It is something I never would have thought about before, but I keep hearing travel nightmares from friends about broken bones and stolen bags, and after having had something go wrong, I think that travel insurance is totally worth it.
