As a newly engaged bride, I was TERRIFIED to go into a bridal salon to try on dresses - I was afraid they wouldn't fit me, that I wouldn't like any, that the sales people would be rude, etc. I had read so many horror stories online!!
Carine's happened to be the first of 5 salons I went to, and I should have stopped there! I ended up going back to buy my Monique Lhullier gown there after shopping at several of the well-known boutiques in DC, including Hannelore's. The staff at Carine's is knowledgeable, friendly, and respectful! Jessica became my comforting teacher and advisor in picking out the most gorgeous gown that I NEVER would have tried on had she not promised me it would be stunning. She was right - I couldn't stop thinking about that dress for almost a month, and finally came back to get it. My mom and I were there by ourselves on a Friday afternoon, and Carine called in to check on things, and offered to bring us coffee on her way in!
After I said "yes" to the dress (haha), Carine broke out champagne and we all celebrated. I cannot say enough about the wonderful experience I had there. Best in the area!!!
I went to Carine's last year with my friend soon after she got engaged- she was going to try on wedding dresses for the first time. Carine let us in and actually shut down the shop (we were the last appointment of the day). The salon smelled amazing (those scented oils with sticks) and all of the dresses were stunning. I felt so comfortable because Carine brought out champagne and little cakes for us to have (I ate the bride to be's) and I perched up on a big sofa and watched her, saying yes or no, and flipping through the latest fashion magazines. We ended up hanging out there for nearly 2.5 hours, learning about Carine and how she came to open the shop. She was so nice, she even gave us a ride in her car to our car down the street (it was raining cats and dogs). I loved the cakes and she told me that her sister has a shop and makes them to order. Though my friend ended up getting a dress somewhere in her hometown, I remembered Carine being so nice (saved her business card) that I am trying to make an appointment there this weekend to look at bridesmaid dresses for my friend's wedding I will be in come May.
I ended up getting my dress at Carine's in the end, only b/c the dress I wanted was on a 10% discount during a trunk show, but if I'd had any other choice I would have much preferred to have gotten it elsewhere. The boutique is very small and the staff is disorganized. They do not make you feel welcome at all when you get there. I felt like I might as well have bought something off the rack. Once I decided which dress I wanted to try after all, the owner came over to "help" me but was completely unwilling to go to the back room to show me a couple of other dresses I already knew I wanted to try. She said "they were all the way in the back" and I probably wouldn't like them anyway. She took my measurements in a hurry and left me with the receptionist to charge my card since she didn't care anymore now that she saw she was making a sale. The only thing I did like about them was how organized and accurate they were about getting all the information down and right and going over everything with me carefully. Their correspondence since has been good as well. I am praying that my dress will arrive the way it should at the end of the month.
In my opinion Carine??s Bridal is the best bridal salon in the area. Not only does Carine have the best selection of dresses and the most beautiful salon, her extreme care and attention to detail is unparalleled. Carine??s bridal is highly rated and has amazing reviews on all the sites I have come across? I now know why, and can say that I agree with each and every one of them.
Carine's Bridal exceeded my expectations both in selection and service. The owner (Carine) is extremely knowledgeable and was able to guide me on everything from the latest styles and which would look great on me, to the type of dress I should be wearing given my wedding date and location? I would never have looked and felt so good at my wedding had she not taken me under her wings. I highly recommend all brides go to Carine??s.
I recently purchased my daughter's wedding dress from Carine's Bridal in Georgetown. She is the youngest of three daughters, and the last to be married, so I am speaking from experience when I say that Carine's is the best bridal salon in the area. Shopping with each daughter for gowns has brought me to hundreds of bridal salons from New York City to Miami, and I can honestly say that Carine's offers the best overall experience. There is no need to look any further; you will not a better bridal salon.
I have been to all the bridal salons in the area and have found that Carine??s is by far the best. She has the biggest selection of dresses and they are all beautiful. There is just no comparing the level of customer service, and the amount of person attention I received at Carine??s Bridal with any other store. I just wish that more people and stores were like this!
i went to carine's with my mother and we couldn't have been more impressed. it was my 4th trip to a bridal salon (i'm getting married in the fall) and i was beginning to get discouraged. we were immediately welcomed by carine, and she was amazingly helpful. the shop is beautiful, and carine spent a ton of time with us. i found my dress in about 2 hours and i am so excited. i HIGHLY recommend carine's bridal atelier.
My daughter made appointments at 3 different bridal shops. She had already visited one shop when I joined her for the appointment at Carine's. As soon as we entered we felt special. The space is elegant and very fitting for the equisite designer gowns she offers. The staff at Carines is warm and knowledgeable and Carine is FABULOUS! She made our shopping trip at this very stressful time a most enjoyable experience. My daughter was so pleased with Carine's she canceled the third appointment. I am very confident that because of Carine's expertise my daughter's gown will be as beautiful as my daughter!
