I love this preschool! They have a great balance between academics (my son was reading and doing math when he got to kindergarten) and social skills. The play yard is wonderful - really like a trip to the park! I know that my daughter can be difficult, but they have shown such love and patience with her. I really feel like this is a partnership between the school and home. And their Summer program is lots of fun for the kids.

Our daughter has been at Best Years since she was 2. She's 5 now and will be graduating in a few weeks. In the time she's been with BYPS, the school has gone through a transformation. The school's new director has made numerous changes to the staff and direction of the school, all to the approval of the parents and to the benefit of the kids.

Having said that, all of the teachers, from the first day to now, have worked with the interest of the kids as their priority.

We've had our struggles with teachers every now and again, but we've always approached the staff with respect and understanding. This is par for the course where ever you send your child(ren).

Overall this school has been a wonderful find for us. We too love the play areas made available to the kids. As a toddler, they have a lot of fun rolling down the small hill on the side yard. As a pre-schooler, they have the large play area to go crazy in. We've always felt our child was loved, safe, protected and encouraged to be herself.

We will miss Best Years. Our little one has mentioned as much as she looks forward to Kindergarten.

Horrible School ! On the face of it, the school looks charming and idealic, however, after the big sell, we were informed daily of what our child was not allowed to do (play in the yard that we fell in love with and played for hours in during the initial interview), bring bottles for our 20 month old baby, play in the side yard (since the "Church lady wanted the door to stay open and children were relegated to a small side yard with barely enough room to roam), donate toys (since the "Church Lady" did not want the toddler room -that is also used as a Sunday School classroom- to be "too cluttered), etc). You as a parent are told what is wrong or incorrect daily, but the staff is exempt from completing daily charts that were promised, and never had a positive thing to share about your child. The staff is cold and infriendly. The director is at the whims of the "Church Ladies" and the vindictive teachers. Don't be fooled by the scenery, the place is snobby, cold, and unloving.

My daughter has been enrolled for almost 1.5 years and I am very happy. Teachers are great and caring and they have lots of fun, wonderful extras. Best value for the money. I visited all the neighborhood schools and liked this one the best.

For the last 6 months, the quality of "education" has gone downhill. Since the change in management back in Late December/Early January, the turnover at this school has been unreal. Parents have been treated like 2nd class citizens and children are kept on based on whether or not the administration and faculty "approve" of them. If you are in the "click" you are in.

The school is constantly out of ratio. Incident reports are NOT consistently filled out when accidents occur. There is more of a concern about those kids who's tuition is provided by the state then private citizens.

This school looked cute, cozy, and it was Christian-based so I thought it would be great. It is owned by the Woodland Hills Presbyterian Church. Their motto is "come as you are, you will be loved?. This is a gross lie. They judge, and they did not care about our child. He was only 3 years old when I enrolled him. Upon picking him up on his first day of preschool, we were told by the director, ??We don??t think that he can return to school tomorrow?. She said that his teacher did not want him in her class. The teacher complained that he was too active, did not listen well, and was sometimes disruptive. She stated that new students are usually ??quiet and shy?, and he was not. This was his FIRST day, he was not even given the chance to learn the rules and policies. I expected his teacher to be more understanding and patient during the initial adjustment period. They did not give him a chance - no compassion, no tolerance, no encouragement. I have enrolled him in another school and what a huge difference. It did take him about a week to adjust which is to be expected according to the school. He learned the rules, and is doing very well per his teachers reports. He sits during circle time, naps without disrupting others, listens and follows directions well during dance class, and is learning his letters and numbers nicely. The openness of his new teachers mind AND heart has made helped him make huge strides. This new school is excellent. We see now that our bad experience with Best Years was a blessing in disguise.

What a great find! This school takes toddlers! They accept children from 18 months to 5 years old. Children love learning here and the playground is terrific, quite and park like. Teachers are friendly and it's easy to see they love what they are doing. Year round school, phonics based instruction with lots of hands on learning experiences. We couldn't be happier. This is a must see.
