Food and service was great. This is a fairly new Chili's and of course you have more bar space and seatting space although you do still have to deal with a great big crowd. Overall great location and good service.

If you're like me, you watch in anticipation whenever you see new construction and try to figure out what it is going to be. I was surprised when I saw the signs for the new business at the corner of Fry and Grand Parkway that said it was going to be a Chili's because the other Chili's on Mason Road isn't that far away.

We decided to check out this location shortly after it opened. Even though we went early (around 5 pm) in hopes of beating the dinner crowds, it was still pretty busy. Fortunately, we didn't have to wait long to be seated.

This location is different from other Chili's locations that I have visited in that it is smaller, but it has a very "open" concept. While most locations have a bar and a smoking area, the bar is typically fairly small (with a few tables) and closed off from everything else. In this location, the bar and smoking area are all together. There is a wall that is probably 3-4 feet high with glass from the top to the ceiling the separates the smoking and non-smoking areas so you can still see into the bar/smoking area, but you don't have to worry about the smell. While other locations I have been to have a good mix of tables and booths, this locations seems to mainly have booths, so if you were bringing a large group and wanted to be seated together, that might be tricky.

We were very pleased with the degree of service that we received. At the location on Mason Road, it seems like our servers are always rushing us through our meal so that they can move on to the next customer and that was not our experience here. Even though they are a new location and it was very busy, the waiter kept our drinks filled and checked up on us frequently. It did take awhile for our food to arrive, but that may have been because I ordered a steak and asked for it to be "well done."

One of the great things about Chili's is that their menu is very diverse ranging from salads and pasta to chicken, shrimp, and even steak, so there is something for everyone. I have tried several of their appetizers and have never been disappointed. My two "favorites" are the Southwestern Eggrolls and the Skillet Queso. This location has all of the same "favorites" as the other locations.

This location also offers "call ahead seating." Basically, you can call in advance and get your name on the list so that you can be seated quickly when you arrive. This is a great option, especially if you have children.

If you don't feel like dining in, you can also place a "To go" order. You can order any items from the menu and go in and pick them up. They have special "to go" parking and a "to go" counter so it is basically hassle free.

If you haven't been to the "new" Chili's yet, it is definitely worth checking out!
