You can call the corporate office in NYC (212) 967-2400. And ask to speak to the person in charge of refunds. I hope this will help you!

I know someone that had a similar experience and they processed the refund.

From the first time I stepped into Vital dent(Miami) I was pleased by the presentation of the decor like many of you. But long and behold when I initially went to do some fill-ins and get my teeth cleaned I too was being told that I had major work and problems that needed to be done. I had x-rays taken and then I was sent in to talk with the financial advisor. They lied and beefed up my pay so that I could get the loan from Care-credit and Capital one. The dentist was in on every personal process that dealt with my finances, he never left the room. He was the one to tell the financial advisor what to do to get me the loan. Not to mention they lied to my insurance and said that we did $500 of work and nothing had happened yet. I was approved for up to $15,000 in dental work or any medical procedure. The bulk of the money went to Vital dent $10,200 to be exact. I only went in to take care a couple of cavities, in which my jobs insurance paid half and the other half through my loan. I had 1 tooth removed and started the 1st phase for my implants. Because I wasn't sure how much money I had used up already I requested a detailed summery of my work that was done and the price. It took me 3 months to get it.I was given a call on Wednesday November 26, 2008 to say that the office was closing and that I better be in the office on Friday to finish any work that was started or I'll loose my money.I went to the office on that Friday and it was a ghost town. Only 2 assistants were left and one doctor. On that day I asked for my charge summary. I only got it then because I forced one of the assistants to go in the computer and figure it out and print it .The financial advisor had been avoiding me and making excuses why she couldn't meet with me about my plan. When I looked it over they had billed capital one as if I had all the work done. When I added it up along with the dentist who did my work I had only $4300 worth of work done. I have called and went by in hope to run into someone cleaning out the office but I have come up with nothing. Now I'm stuck paying for this loan. This has left me depressed and devastated. I want to sue them or get my money back but I don't know where to begin.

I went to Vital Dent in Forest Hills, NY on December 5th because my temporary filling broke and I needed it to be fixed before the end of year because of my dental deductible. Well, the first day I went there they took XRays of all of my teeth. I sat with the doctor he examined my tooth that the filling broke and then proceeded to tell me I have 7 cavities and need gum work. Afterwards, I sat with the office coordinator to discuss a payment plan for the crown and the other work. I told her know and lets just fix my broken filling. Before moving on I had a root canal over 5 years ago and my doctor put in a temporary filling letting me know that he I will eventually need a crown. Well as mentioned that temporary filling lasted a very long time. Back to my office visit at Vital Dent after the examination I went back to the office early evening where they put in the temporary filling and fitting for my crown. I had to pay in advance ($1450) and they told me they have to do the first claim with my insurance. It's funny when I walked out of the office earlier that day when they took the XRAYS that said "We hope you come back to see us" I should have know right there the place was a scam but I was desperate to get the work done by the end of the year. Moving on a week later my temporary filling broke so I went back to the office to have them fix it and was not charged anything. We scheduled an appointment set for 12/29 to have the crown put in so it would be done before end of year. On 12/27 they told me they had to cancel the appointment because the doctor would not be back from the dentist. They scheduled me for 1/5. I told them they need to make the claim for 2007 and the gave me a run around. Well it moved on into a bigger issue when I did not get my full claim back. My insurance company sent them $150 because of the bogus paper work they sent them. I called Vital Dent repeatedly and kept getting the run around. I told them they needed to write me a check for the $150 and they told me it was because of the temporary filling they needed to fix. I told them that was bogus and they told me it was my fault the filling broke which is why they sent the claim to my insurance company.

To conclude my griping I went to a real dentist last week and he told me that I don't have any cavities and there is nothing wrong with my gums.

My question to all of you... IS ANYONE FILLING A LAWSUIT AGAINST VITAL DENT? PLEASE! PLEASE! LET ME KNOW.

I recently visited the 23rd location for the first time and let me tell you how disappointed i was!!! Vital Dental is a total scam. I called for an exam and cleaning and guess what, all i got was an exam and a treatment that would cost me $12,000!! I was sitting there listening to the dentist tell me everything that is wrong with my previous work and that I would need to get it re-done. I was in total shock. I asked about my cleaning and they advised me I had to come back. I left that office with the treatment sheet in my hand and cancelled my cleaning. I'm going for a 2nd opinion. BBB needs to hear about this place and shut them down!

The atmosphere and service was absolutely amazing. They work with you to obtain financial assistance ...BUT little do you realize is that the credit line that you were given from CareCredit was already used by VItalDent. They took all your money and no work was done on you rmouth. You start receiving credit letters to pay for something that you have not used. And the office where you originally visited is now closed down. And the headquarters is stalling on your paperwork to give you your refund after your credit has been smashed!

I have been with Vital Dent for almost 2 years. In those 2 years I have been sent to 4 different locations. I would call on the day of the appointment to confirm and the 1st time they told me they did not have an orthodontist at all and would call me when I can schedule another appointment, that took 3 months. The second and the fourth time I called on the days of an appointment to confirm, the office was closed for renovations until further notice and I was told that I had to call for a new appointment. I just want to finally complete this treatment so I can be through with this company it is horrible.

I read bad reviews of Vitaldent, but had an emergency where a crown that was anchoring my partial denture fell out. I went in expecting the worse since places like this usually tell you all is lost unless you go for the most expensive alternative they offer. The 23rd st office, however, was great. I spoke to the manager, who hesitated at first to treat me because his dentist was 'persnickity' about quick fixes that they couldnt guarantee. But, he agreed to take me the next day. Went in, the dentist was great, she patched me up, telling me that this was NOT a permanent fix (which I fully realized) . I then asked her to talk about a long term treatment plan w/ cost (having all upper teeth pulled and getting a denture) She was thorough, told me the pluses and minuses. and the timeframe involved. Then the manager went over the costs completely, outlining what my insurance would cover and exactly what I would be expected to pay. I was very impressed and now plan to go back and have the work done. Maybe its just the 23rd st office (MANY compliments here), but I thought they were great.

A very pleasant experience at the Vital Dent on 23rd street. I am very happy with my dentist. He was asking me how I feel during my procedures and it makes me calm and comfortable.

I read all of your reviews and I would say that I was pretty nervous the fact that they sounded so horrible. I was nervous to go to my appt in Vitaldent a couple days later. I was surprised that I met a bunch wonderful people at the office located on Madison and 34th st, I was a bit nervous to say the least but I thought let me give it a try. I was looking at every little thing in the office, but yet everything seemed under control. The coordinator was wonderful she and the doctor spent a good 20-30 minutes with me explaining and showing me what was going on in my mouth. I saw pictures xrays and was explained so well that i did not hesitate to continue my work there. A couple days later I called because I spoke to a dentist friend of mine to explained what they told me that day. I later called the office and spoke to a gentle man on why the difference in procedures between doctors. He happily explained and spent about 15 min going over my plan over the phone and answered all my questions. When I asked if he was the doctor, he said no. He was the Office manager. He could have fooled me. I whole experience was a pleasurable one. I would happily recommend my family and coworkers to go to that office. The office was great, very comforting and understanding. Too bad for those of you who had bad times with the company. But this one is very good. Thanks Again.I hope what I said helped some of you out there.MPina

I went to a Vital Dent a few months ago and I thought the Dentist was excellent. I had a bad toothache and they took me right away even though it was 7pm at night. Their extended hours, 9a -9p, made it very convenient for me to make follow up appointments and work around my busy schedule.

I went to Vital Dent for the first time just last month. Don't get me wrong I to was skeptical after reading these reviews but I had to come back here and share my experience, which was a good one. It's been a while since I payed the dentist a visit, so I definitely needed extensive work done. I guess you can say a brand new crown. I went back after the first visit and started the work immediately. Let me just say my smile has never been greater.

WELCOME TO THE 'FAST-FOOD FRANCHISE' OF DENTAL CARE.
If there is anything to say about Vital Dent as a company is that they should pack up and go back to wherever they came from, so the would not longer deceive more clients. By personal experience I can say that they would take your money, and if for any reason you have a problem they will make sure you go through hell if you want it back. Doctors as well as managers quit all the time so you are left with half the job done and NOBODY to complain to. And as alternative there is a corporate office that is as unreliable and unprofessional as any of their clinic. There is nobody to take care of patients in need of solutions, no one to return phone calls, just plain unprofessional and fraudulent practices. Stay away from Vital Dent and advise any one you care for to do the same.

Just wanted to give some insight on my personal experience with Vital Dent. From the moment I walked in I was a bit scared and nervous but then after speaking with the receptionist I felt a lot better. I was introduced to the Owner who made sure I was seen as soon as possible, and sure enough I was. I am very thankful because I was seen immediately and treated fairly. Oh and by the way I had a crown put in and the feedback on that is pretty amazing!

I viewed the other reviews and noticed unsatisfied patients, however I must say that my experience was not in the least similar to theirs. I was skeptical about using Vital Dent but I was actually referred by a friend who had just finished up a procedure. She completed her work and is working out some payment plans, which for me is great being that I don't have insurance. My advice to you guys reading, try it out for yourselves. Besides I wasn't even charged a cent for my first visit. They even took X-rays. It's been 3 months and every things been going well.

I walked in to a disturbing argument & was appalled of the foul language & unprofessional traumatic nightmare my son witnessed. I asked the secretary where is the Manager to stop this? She pointed at the older woman stating that was the Manager.

This Manager was very horrific shouting, YOURE JUST A DOCTOR WHO TAKES ORDERS FROM ME My son clinched to my leg in fear. So I immediately left with no intention on ever returning.
