This store is great, their prices are the best in town. If you're on a budget I recommend you shop here. Also, you don't need an appointment to bring in your items unlike the other local consignment shops!

I have been to every consignment store in the area and this is the BEST consignment store in my opinion. WHY? You don't need an appointment, you just bring your stuff in, whatever season too. Other stores I have called don't have appointments for MONTHS!! The prices are GREAT, very reasonable for everything. I have been to other consignment stores and they are selling baby items and clothes for $5 less than what I can get it brand new for. I have saved my hubby so much money shopping at Once Upon a Child. As far as the other comments about the staff being rude, I have no idea what they are talking about because people working there are great! They are friendly and very helpful. I recommend this consignment store to all my family and friends and will continue shopping there to keep saving money for my family. Also, they are a consignment store so they will pay you $16 and sell it for more, that is what they do. If you want more than that then you can sell it yourself at a yard sale where you will be lucky to get even that! If you don't have time for a yard sale and don't want to drop it off at Goodwill where they are also going to sell it for a profit and you want a little money yourself than bring them your items and get some cash or store credit. Don't bring your items in trash bags though and don't bring outdated baby items (more than 5 years).

I have been a long time customer at this location. I have never had a problem with any of the staff. They are all very friendly and polite. They even remember my kids names and always greet us when we enter the store. I have sold my used kids stuff many times and find it is very easy. It is much better selling my items here because I can come in anytime and shop while they go over my things. Plus they give you extra when you use store credit! The store is organized and they always have a great selection. It's the only store of its kind I would ever shop at. I would recommend any one with kids shop here.

I've shopped at the location in Goldsboro several times as well as Greenville and the staff were very nice, patient, welcoming and helpful. At the Grande Heights, Cary location... I don't know what it is... The staff is very rude and unfriendly and the OWNER is beyond horrible! She is very disrespectful and unprofessional to sum it up! If you are in the business of customer service (ESPECIALLY AS THE OWNER) representing your establishment, you are to set an example for your employees. Make people want to come back to your business! The store is great... The selection and organization, but it's not worth the hassle! I'll drive to one of the other locations FIRST! This woman has her daughter who can't be over 10 years old acting just like her! It is very sad! I've been treated the same way more than once and I will not make excuses for an ADULT acting that way! I will not support her business!

Have sold and bought many items at this. They give you $16 for a swing and then sell for $45. Cloths selection ok, but staff is very rude except for salesperson named Mary-I guess because they have little or no competition. Each location is franchise and their is no one to complain to about the lack of customer service (also the owner is the one who is rude).

I have never brought my used clothing or toys to them so I have no review on that part but I do know how much I have bought and saved tons of money on for my 3 small kids. The store is set up well and you typically have no trouble finding what you came for. No guarantees you will find what you need but I have never had an issue with that.

The staff has always been friendly and helpful. I have never once felt they were unwelcoming or rude in anyway. They even have a safe enclosed play area next to the register section for the kids to hang out in with a fun movie playing on a small tv.

Go visit this store.. you'll be glad you did!

I got a decent amount of $ for my gently used clothing. It is unclear what their criteria is, though, and they would not tell me how much they were buying specific items for. They rejected about 50% of my clothing and toys. They take no stuffed animals.

Their prices on used goods are quite reasonable. Definitely, they are better than other similar shops such as Kid to Kid.

Overall, good selection of children's clothing and toys. If selling clothing to them, beware they are very picky. Rejected brand new clothing with tags. I would recommend donating your gently used clothing instead! Biggest complaint is how unfriendly the staff is. Been there a few times and staff is always unwelcoming and a bit hostile in their conversation.
