After my pet's visit with Dr. Elakbawy I had a horrible gut feeling that I had made a huge mistake!!
First, the Vet was not friendly, caring or even remotely interested in my cat. I've had cats all my life and have seen the way a good vet interacts with his / her patients.
Second, the visit was very quick. He didn't ask any questions and was quick to give my cat a shot and to order a test of some kind which I don't even know what for. He told me to call in for my results in a week or two.
Third, I had asked about cost twice - when I scheduled the appt and during my appt. I was shocked when my bill was 3xs higher than quoted. I asked how much the tests and shot would cost - he responded that it would nt be much and gave me the price after services were administered. I felt like I had been robbed after my appointment.
Even worse I now doubt that I did right by my pet. I'm considering taking him to another vet just to make sure he's ok. Its a really awful feeling - I feel guilty every time I look at my cat's cute little face. He wasn't treated very well on my watch. My job as a pet's mom is to keep him safe and protected and I really believe the decision to have this vet treat my cat was an epic fail in that regard. I'm thankful I found this out for a minor skin condition my cat had and not a serious illness. Please reconsider taking your pet to this place!!!
