There are much better options

by a g.

I stopped in to drop off some donations and found no one there to be personable or kind.
The girl who was in the asphalt parking lot "fun" area gave no indication of friendliness; maybe because i wasn't a money paying client and had no potential dog with me. She seemed bored and the dogs were unengaged (all well balanced dogs will appear somewhat happy even if they aren't...you have to look close at body language to notice the subtleties...alot of them seemed somewhat confused or slightly stressed).
Also, I went to their website to see what they offered; looked at 4 or 5 pages and they don't seem very upfront about the fact that your dog will be in a very small parking lot right off the freeway. And that's the biggest thing that got to me. Dogs need to walk and run with their pack for long distances.
My advice? Hire a dogwalker to tire your dog out while you're at work (i'd go with the independent ones- larger "companies" that contract seem more about money and by nature have less control over quality). Some good off-leash in the woods hiking or look for a daycare that's got more open space and kinder, more genuine staff...i actually think the woman inside was the owner?? :(

We LOVE Ruff Day

by S. C.

Our dog absolutely loves Ruff Day and everyone there! From the time our dogs gets out of the car till he comes home we know he is loved! They are always there to greet our four legged loved one with open arms and LOTS of hugs! Our dog begins barking and going crazy two blocks from the daycare. We have no doubt he is cared for and given lots of attention while spending the day at Ruff Day.

Fabulous place for my son Crackers!

by Elyse K.

I absolutely love Ruff Day Doggie Daycare, and so does my dog/son Crackers! He can't wait to get out of the car when we arrive, and sometimes (sniff) he doesn't want to come home with me when I pick him up! He's thoroughly exercised and played when I pick him up, so I don't feel guilty about not taking him for a big run or walk after a hard day of work. He's also well socialized with other dogs, which wouldn't be the case if he was left home alone all day, likely digging up the yard and driving the neighbors crazy. He can get a bath there, he gets tons of love and fun there, and the staff couldn't be nicer. The owners Sally and Larry really care about the dogs, and their people! I love them and wouldn't change daycare for anything.I have absolutely no idea what the other reviewer is talking about. I am a vegetarian and a staunch supporter of animal rights, and I have never seen anything like this in over a year of care.

not such a great place

by Aden A.

I am a former employee of Ruff Day I was there when the new Owners took over in December of 07 all seemed well enough but a time wore on and they stopped putting there best foot forward I saw thing that were very troubling to me I witnessed one of them kick a dog that she was afraid of and the other one picked a dog up and through it just for humping his dog witch is a very natural thing for one dog to do to another is as a display of dominance so I guess that was his answer any way PLEASE think twice before you take your dog to Ruff Day as They may have a very ruff day if you need the services of a doggie daycare there are some good alternatives such as Tails -a-waggin or Feild of dreams both just minutes from the high way and staffed by very nice geniune people who are really there for your dog not just your money.

Best Doggie Daycare in Town

by Alieca P.

Very professional - can't say enough. Our dog has a great time and gets really excited to go. They've helped us through behavior issues with our dog and have really become a part of our family. Not sure what we'd do without them!
