You can really tell that the owner of this shop is not just in it for the money. She really feels strongly that feeding animals a raw diet is the best thing for their healthy, and she's happy to do whatever she can to get you the information and resources to feed your dog or cat the healthiest diet they can get. She's more than happy to take the time to talk and explain her philosophy of animal care, and you certainly get the impression that she cares about your pets as beings and not just sources of income. Personally, I try to buy bulk to get cheaper prices, but the quality of their products is good.

Wow, what a great find! This small boutique in Castro Valley is the greatest. Their products are wonderful, but as far as I'm concerned their claim to fame is their grooming service. For a small fee they will pick up and drop off your dog for you (great time saver for me). My dog loves Marilyn and Robin (owners) and believe me, for Blue to love her groomer is amazing. I recommend Pawsitive Karma to anyone who cares about their pets.

I am so excited about Pawsitve Karma! I used to HATE bringing my little Bichon to the groomer and having him sit in a cage all day. With Pawsitive Karma, I have the peace of mind knowing that my little Herbie is free to roam around the grooming room and is in the BEST hands. You can tell by the way Marilyn and Robin come out and fuss over your dog when you walk through the door that they truly do love animals. They will give your dog treats, love and attention for the few hours the grooming requires.
Their product knowledge and animal health knowledge is extensive, and they always take the time to listen to you and give you advice. I LOVE my experiences at Pawsitive Karma. I have recommended my sister, friend and mom to Pawsitive Karma, and all are impressed.

I am the fussiest doggy mom on the planet and I don't write reviews, good or bad. So that must tell you something since that is exactly what I am doing. I have actually found a very wonderful doggy store.Pawsitive Karma is perfect. It is a small boutique/groomer that actually provides you with personal service. You can immediately tell that Marylin and Robin are truly dog people. They are extremely kind, caring and loving to my 2 yorkies, Harley & Tucker.I tried out the grooming service and was very happy with the outcome. Get this - grooming also includes Blueberry Facials. My boys may not have been too keen on the idea, but they sure smelled good! My boys also hate having their nails cut, and Robin does a great job. And these two ladies remember everyone's names, not just your dogs! They sell products you cant find in a regular pet store. I just love their stuff. And everyone loves the new harness I purchased. :) They even have little dog play days at the boutique. When you special order, they contact you asap when item comes in. I have never had to call to check. But what I love most, is the fact that when you are there for a grooming appointment, you are the only client. You don't have to deal with other dogs and I feel that this helps my boys have a stress free grooming session. If you are a fussy dog mom like me, go check out the store and meet the owners. I am confident you will feel as I do about this store.

These folks are fabooo! We have a very nervous dog (and a nervous doggie mom!). Robin, the groomer and co-owner w/Marilyn, was soothing to all parties concerned. Jerry, our muttish long-haired dachshund, expressed his nervousness promptly by pee-ing three times in the grooming area. No problem-0! Not only did we get a fabulously groomed clean dog, he was so pampered, petted, treat-i-fied, that he was really grooving on all the loving attention long before we took him home. When Marily wasn't busy in the front part of the store (mass amounts of doggie treats, high-quality foods including raw diets, all sorts of cute gear, the most buttery soft leashes and collars, etc.), she was hanging out in the grooming area loving on Jerry! Another big difference: they only work on one (1) dog at a time. No stressing the dog by having it kenneled for long periods of time, being around other stressed out barking dogs, etc. Now, if they'd only provide spa services for the owners at the same time.....8-)

I bring my Shih-Tzu puppy to Robin for grooming and have never met a more caring and more sensitive groomer. Not only has she eased my pup into (almost) liking his visits, she does a wonderful job making him look fantastic. Robin really listens to how you want your dog to look. This is grooming as good as it gets!
Pawsitive Karma offers hard to find, high-quality dog and cat food, as well, and a great selection of dog and cat accessories, from coats, beds and collars to fun dog bakery items.

This is a great place to take your pet for grooming. I really like the idea that there is normally only one pet in the spa at a time. Not the usual multiple dogs barking (can be very stressful for my dog). They were able to make recommendations for healthy chew toys for my puppy and they really seem to care about our pets! The prices are much better then other shops.
I would recommend them to anyone!

I L-O-V-E these guys!! They gave my girl special attention and pampering. Plus, she looked awesome and the cost was half what I was paying my former groomer who only bathed and trimmed her. I know she was treated well because she was happy when I picked her up from her appointment and was running around the shop showing off her new trim!

This is an AWSOME botique, from the merchandise to the grooming! I will NEVER bring my dog to anywhere else. They are truely 'dog people'.
About the merchandise - nothing here is sold solely for profit. All of the products offered are top notch and GOOD for your pet. This is one of those stores I would buy from without ever having heard of the product before - because I would know that if it's sold there then it must be something good!
About the grooming - THE BEST!! No drying in cages with ten other dogs all crying and barking in the same room. And the groomer is A TOTAL DOG LOVER - you will be able to tell at your first appointment. My dog is like a child to me and I would never leave him with anyone I didn't trust 100 %. If you want a GREAT store with WONDERFUL products and a GROOMER who will treat your pet with the same tender touch as you would, Pawsitive Karma is your store.

Pawsitive Karma is a great neighborhood boutique for pets. They have great products, pet spa and even a doggie bakery with creative treats. Their prices are very reasonable and they will usually fit you into their grooming schedule on short notice. My two pugs, Molly and Mack, hate getting their nails trimmed but Pawsitive Karma knew exactly how to calm them down and make it a pleasurable experience. I'm glad they have moved into the neighborhood and I highly recommend them!
