After living in Southern California, Florida and Washington I have had the opportunity to go to many fine salons. I am very picky when it comes to my hair, because it is long, thick, highlighted/lowlighted, dry and unruly at times! My hair is definitely not the easiest head of hair to do or manage. Over the past year in Seattle I have searched high and low to find someone in the area who can actually do a decent job on my hair and needless to say I wasn't having much luck! At the beginning of October after alot of research and word-of-mouth...I made an appointment at Salon Blast. When I called the owner Tim Wilson and explained my hair and what I was looking for he referred me to Antonio. I was very anxious at my first appointment because I was concerned if it didn't work out the way I was hoping I was going to be very discouraged because my hair is very important to me. However after I arrived and met Antonio, I instantly knew I was in good hands!

Antonio is the sweetest, most friendly, adorable guy... who is EXTREMELY TALENTED at what he does! My first blow-out with Antonio was incredible and I honestly had never been happier with my hair... it looked, felt and even smelled fabolous. He took his time and listened to everything I asked him to do or not to do... Now Antonio is cutting my hair and doing my highlights as well. I am hooked and very excited to have found him!!!

I love getting blow-outs as much as possible too, because I know once he's done my hair will look awesome even several days after he did it. I cannot say enough good things about Antonio, he is very knowledgable about the hair industry as well...and fun to talk to!! I look forward to being Antonio's client for a very long time...I encourage anyone to give Antonio and/or Salon Blast a try and I bet you will be as impressed as I am...and many thanks to Antonio, you are the best!!!

I had my first haircut at Salon Blast with Tim Wilson, and I will most definitely be going back. Tim sat with me and assessed my hair, really taking the time to look at it and talk with me about what I wanted. He was honest on what would look best on my face-shape, and gave me a cut that suited my lifestyle (long enough to put back in a ponytail, bangs long enough to tuck behind my ear, etc). He also did the hairwashing and hairdrying himself, not outsourcing it to someone else.

I highly recommend going to Salon Blast, and seeing Tim.

I LOVE this Salon. The people there are always so friendly, and I know how difficult that can be day in and day out doing customer service. I have been to a few different people but I think Tim is by far one of my favorites. I know that when I go into the salon I will come out with the exact hair cut and more importantly hair color that I want. He makes sure we talk about it, and explains everything very thoroughly. I do not mind paying a lot for my hair , and thank god it includes the style afterward as well. I think one of the most annoying things about high end salons is when they charge you to blow dry your hair and style it, as if you would usually leave with sopping wet hair like any other day out the door especially after shoveling out over a hundred dollars. Won't go anywhere else

I am picky I know. I have had my hair cut all over the world and Seattle is probably the worst city for talent that isn't $75 for mens hair cuts.

Not being at work on time when the apt was on your books for over 4 days is just lazy. Quality of stylist wasn't that great and seemed scared to cut difficult hair. Products used on my hair were not of high quality either. WONT BE BACK. EVER.

Tim Wilson-- he's only the most bomb stylist this side of Pike, and Pine Street.

I've been going to him for about 6 years, ever since my former roommate brought me to him with my mop top. He even forgave me when I strayed to other peeps during a time of unemployement, and took me back with open arms, and worked his magic. I usually plop down on the chair and tell him to do whatever and leave enough f or later coiffing

Yes, he's exuberant HE?S contagious.

I can't say enough good things about Tim....and while you could probably go for 6 months between one of his haircuts, he's an addiction that will keep you going back more often.

They carry some sweet product lines too

I found Salon Blast through citysearch two years ago. I have been seeing Antoino ever since. He is truly an artist. I have never had such awesome cuts and colors! His cuts grow out so well, I can go for months and still get complements on my hair. He is a hairdresser - I am amazed at how many ways I can style my hair and they all look different. If you want a relaxing experiance, a theropy session, and to walk out feeling sexy, fashionable and refreshed go see Antonio.

This was my first haircut at a stylist. All of my previous haircuts were at the local barber so I really wasn't sure what to expect. I wanted to try something different with my hair and my attempts to get my barber to try something else never really turned out well.

The experience was really enjoyable and the haircut was fantastic. Antonio was able to carry on a conversation on a variety of topics while he cut my hair. I learned a lot about hair care while I was there as he shared tips and tricks as well as letting me know what he was doing. The haircut was slightly longer then I'm used to but I think that's because he used all scissors and took his time making sure it was perfect.

I've never really gotten any complements on my haircuts before (other then, 'oh hey, you got a haircut') but I actually got about 5 or 6 compliments on my hair the next day.

I will definitely go back to Antonio, I love his work! Thanks!

Woohoo! Very accurately describes my reaction after this haircut, color.

I've got super curly dirty blonde hair. Therefore, haircuts always make me anxious.

I only started embracing "expensive" haircuts a few years ago living in NYC when I treated myself to a cut at Oscar Bond Salon. I figure you wear your hair everyday, so it's a worthy investment. I haven't been able to duplicate that NYC experience. I was looking for someone who had good training, and Tim renewed my faith
Friday was rainy and humid so my attempts at showing up at the salon with my hair looking super curly were thwarted so I was concerned he wouldn't have the right idea of what my hair is capable of. He pointed out to me that he likes to tease out curly hair and see how it "poofs" because then he cuts it to prevent it. No triangles here!

After that preliminary cut, it was washed gently and then meticulously shaken/drip/scrunched dry with paper towels. I've had that method once before when I was in NYC - guessing it might be Deva-inspired? Anyways, I was put under a slow radiant dryer for a spell and then he did final touches. My curls have never looked that good!

The true test was that last night I tried to replicate the styling and considering I didn't have the exact fancy products or drying machine, it still turned out fantastic. I've found a new fabulous stylist! Someday I'd like to take the plunge with a short haircut and I'd be confident that Tim could handle it. My hair is easy to color. Nothing complex, just streaks of blonde to keep me from looking any older

Overall, the salon was neat and clean. I had read the reviews and knew to bring cash . My 4:15 Friday appointment was right on time and despite the laborious haircut/drying/trimming process.

In case you hadn't heard, vanity is big this time of year. Best to get a good haircut lest you're party going is out of sync, and strangely remiss. All big cities are appearance obsessed and so there is never a shortage of a place to chop. Although I haven't made permanent residence in Seattle for many years, whenever home I loyally go to the same place.

Salon Blast Has International Training. I first went here when I was eighteen or so and have always gotten a great haircut. The customer service is relaxed, and people seem to be keen about this place, as they stroll in, and out. I've always gone to the same guy, so if you can fork over his higher prices I recommend going to see Tim, or Juan.

I have been going to Tim for years. I went to school in New York, and would forgo haircuts throughout the semester so that he could cut my hair when I went home. Now, I live in L.A. and he is still my go-to hair stylists. Every 6 months I fly home to see family and get my hair cut at Salon Blast.

I trust him completely, often letting him "play" without any direction. The result is always a little funky and really fun. He pays attention to face shape, personal style and hair type to create a unique haircut that fits my life and my look.

I get compliments on my hair every time he does it. I was in New York for four days last week. No Brush, no dryer, and after day three days I decided to get my hair styled air dried. I went onto Frederick Fekkia Hair salon, and they graciouslty set me up with a very nice stylists to wash, and style my hair. So she asked me if I had just colored my hair, and I told her no, I am getting it done in a week. She just marveled over the colors. The Girls who checked me out of the Salon did the same thing. None of them could believe that I was ready to return for a color. I thought that was a big compliment to Tim?s work. They tried to sway me into coming back for a colr. I said no way I am leaving my guy!!!!

If you can afford to have a really great celebrity caliber hair cut then this is the salon I would recommend. I have been to the other big name usuall suspects at Seven, Gene J, and the Sasson salon Check out my other reviews and read the saga of hair trouble I have had with salons. If I recommend a salon that's because it's the best. My stylist really listened to me and did exactly what I wanted down to every detail. I went for a drastic change in length and I could tell he was a bit nervous, but it was the most dynamic cut I have ever had. The salon is affordable, and I have become a regular client

So after exchanging a few emails, I saw the write up in Elle Magazine which added Salon Blast to the top 100 Salons in America. I went to see Tim Wilson for a highlight and cut. He was more than accomodating, sincere, and genuine. Mission accomplished! I loved my result, and really appreciated how detail-oriented he was. He explained the 'hows and whys' of everything he did, and made sure I was comfortable with the direction he was going with my hair and that he fully understood what I wanted. He listened to and retained every word I said, whether it was about my hair, my job, my interests...and it was blatently obvious that this man knows hair. Also obvious was how highly respected and loved he is by his staff. His co workers have their heards down like worker bees, and overall, I really felt a warm, friendly, and comfortable vibe - something that most other high end salons can't boast. I had a great time and he did a fantastic job.

I wanted to try something new and different. I always had friends cutting my hair
and I thought it was time to pamper myself.

I made an appointment and was able to go the same day which I thought was incredible
and somewhat unheard of.

The woman who cut my hair...well I don't recall her name but she had a very lovely
accent and was really good at what she does. I was going for a total change. I
wanted short Paige bangs. She was nervous . She said she had never done it before
and I was like "ahhh its hair...if you f*ck up, it grows back!" But she did an
awesome job and I was so happy with it. I got home and my boyfriend was all hot and
bothered with the new look. Sexayyy!! Constantly got compliments on it from
everyone I know.

The salon itself is suitable. Its very naturally lighted. You're comfortable and I
think that?s important in a salon. Everyone else working there seemed to be pleasant
as well.

Once my hair grows in again I?ll probably be getting my mid summer cut here. Can't
go wrong. I just hope "she" is still there.

* also...the prices are outstanding. I believe it was $65 for a cut. Great Value

Yes I too really found Salon Blast like so many of you. I did the onlinesearches, and got refered here.
I saw Juan for the first time to get a new cut, and he did a really nice change to my hair color. I am super pleased. The salon is very cute, and clean. I always look for clean. it is a red flag if a restaurant, or little business is dingy. The people were very friendly Mariah is sweet, and very friendly.

Last night, Tim at Salon Blast gave me the gift of bangs -- a gift I was always scared to ask for because I have curly hair. For years I've suffered wracking bouts of bang-envy of my straight-haired friends, never thinking it possible for me to sport a fringe, because let's be honest: no one wants anything on their face befitting the description "short and curly".

I never broached the subject with past stylists; for some reason, I didn't feel like I'd trust them if it wasn't their idea. When Tim mentioned bangs as an alternative to a standard shape-up of my overgrown shrub-like 'do, I decided to go for it, equal parts trepidation and excitement enclosing my heart like a vise. (OK, that's a little dramatic, but I was nervous, and intrigued. The last time I had bangs was when I was 5, before adolescence and the onset of the uninvited natura-perm.)

I am 27, and my Lox are down to the middle of my back, and bleached colored from years of too much sun. I wanted a deep red brown hair color. I gave him a picture. After examining it. He made it, he handed it back, and asked if I wanted to add more color depth, and add in a few more colors. Heart pumping. I said go a head
I took off my glasses, rendered virtually blind, and let Tim go to work. When I put my specs back on, I was momentarily horrified at the stranger in the mirror, but one short bus ride later, I was home, unable to peel myself from the bathroom and my reflection. This morning I am as excited, if not more. My neighbors have said it looks light years healthier.

I came to Tim at Salon Blast as a new mom and had a picture of what I wanted. Between pregnancy, and having the baby it just seemed the logical thing to do. Over and over again each stylist told me that if I cut my hair short it would exaggerate my round face. So I was put off it. I brought a picture with me. He told me that it would be no problem and he could customize the look that I wanted. So, nervously, I went under the scissors. He also broke up some of the blonde that I had become really bored with. By the time he was done, I was completely relaxed, and satisfied. He showed me exactly how to style my hair and gave me some tips. When he was done, I was thrilled. My hair looks great. I walked out of the salon with a great sense of confidence. When I got home I still loved it but I was worried that it wouldn't look as great when I washed it and did it myself. Man was I wrong! My hair is too short to put it in a pony tail so I have no excuses. It takes me 20 minutes to do my hair which used to take an hour and I love it. I always have it done now. He has me for life!

Being a first time person, I was a little nervous about trying another salon in Seattle. I have been a fan of the big spas in the past. I have been to the Salon that plays music louder then night clubs, and I have visited the salon chain that has held the torch in Seattle for the last twenty years, and neither of these places had very inspired coiffures. One of the girls in my law firm suggested I try Salon Blast. She said these people spend a lot of time Training, and really love what they do. I got a really good vibe from the stylists at this place. The two working near the entrance booth greeted me when I entered.
I moved here from Hawaii and have spent a year searching for a really good person to work with my hair color. My frustrations are behind me. I brought a picture of the color I wanted. Tim went over all of the cautions from my former color, and just did a first class color, and spent more time after cutting showing me how to use rollers to get wave, and light curl into my very straight hair. I really have to mention that the lady ahead of me could not have been crazier then any person I have ever seen in a salon. She kept running her hands through her hair as her stylists was shaping, and demanding more be cut in one area, and more thinned in another area, and complaining about the last salon she had been to.I closed my eyes, and all I could think of was this guy is not going to have an ounce of creative energy left by the time he gets to me. On the nut case meter, she was a ten. I have to give him a ten for the polite patience she received. I guess crazy people need their hair cut as much as the sane. I asked about her, and he was very nice, and just wanted to talk about my hair. I was very, very pleased, and promised to write a well deserved review.

Ok! So now I have been back three times. The first time I had my color brightened. It is a sad day when the gray begins to out pace the natural hair color. I had hair to the middle of my back. So I only wanted a small amount cut off. Everything went well. The color was very natural, and I had a hair cut that did not freak me out. I was very pleased. The second time I was willing to let the man do what he thought would look best. We spent a very fair amount of time talking about the length, and style. I thought of giving up a mile of my hair, and Tim suggested only a few more inches to avoid the trauma of separation anxiety, and for the color he nicely blended multiple colors. Honestly I have never had so many people comment on my hair. If it were not for the gray creeping in, and my hair growing like an out of control California forest fire I would have left it alone for six months. It just looked outstanding, and I actually enjoyed styling. My third time was the just as good as the bonus round second visit without the long consultation from the previous visit. He is pretty meticulous, and gets to working intently, and doesn?t want to come out his trance until it looks like a master piece. I have a lot of hair, and feel very comfortable endorsing Salon Blast. My sister sees Mariah, and she too always has a great experience.

The Salon atmosphere is very Boutique, and not stuffy. They stylists are like little worker Bees attending to customers, and smiling at everyone walking into the Salon. I brought a picture into the Juan at Salon Blast and I left with the hairstyle i had imagined. Juan spent about two hours personally making my hair look exactly like the picture and he even stayed until 8:00 PM. He stayed late making sure it was perfect. The service was incredible, I felt more like a guest than a costumer and Juan was sincerely interested in my ideas for the haircut as well as friendly. I'm so glad that I chose to get my hair cut here.

Every haircut I have received here I have loved. My mother and I go here regularly and personally, I have always had a good experience. The staff is always friendly - in person and on the phone. Tim makes his recommendations but always goes with what I want (which is usually his suggestion since I always love his ideas). He isn't afraid to try new ideas/techniques, and there is no pressure to buy product either. I do like how before and after the cut/color, that he looks at me through the mirror. It made me uncomfortable at first because I wasn't used to it. But I like it now since it makes me feel that he is actually looking at me the way I see myself, and listening to what I want. My mother is a little more demanding. I really wish there was a way to put her before, and after picture on this site. She had a head of very gray hair, and little style. I dont know how he talked her into this style, but it is really fashion forward short blonde color, with dark included and cut with long pieces that swing like a junior high kid. Cute. It is hard to say she is mom. She looks younger.

Very professional, but not intimidating. The staff are friendly. I feel confident seeing any of the stylists who are available at the time I can come in. They are all good! I am growing out my hair (after a terrible experience somewhere else) and they have helped me through the nearly year-and-half process. I am very happy with the results. I am trying to be good and book every 6 weeks, otherwise, I can be tempted to cut my own hair. After I had the bad haircut, I was like hey! I could do a better job, snip snip! The staff have been very tactful and kind about correcting my mistakes! The owner, is always there, and he seems to be an encouraging presence to the other stylists. I usually book when I can take the afternoon, because I've had experiences at almost every salon, but the wait has always been reasonable here. I plan for that, because that is how it generally goes at any busy salon. On sunny weekends, my husband and kids play at the park in the Arboretum, or Library (which is a block away) while waiting for me. We always enjoy that!
Finally I got brave enough to get hair coloring. I had the owner, Timothy do whatever he thought would look proper for my face, and age. No Problem. he instantly pulled out a number of photos of pervious work, and got me even more revvvvved up!!! I work in a downtown Law office, and now I am the TALK OF THE ELEVATOR. Almost every morning some stranger comments on my hair color.

My wife asked me to write a review. She started as a customer about a year ago. It took a lot of pleading on my end to get her out of the obsession of cutting her own hair. I bought her a gift card, which she did not use, and finally just walked her in the door, and she got right in. She is a professional person, and very beautiful, but zero talent when it comes to hair styling. I have to give these guys kudos for patience. She has seen about everyone in the salon. They have done a really terrific job of helping her develope a small scale version of fixing herself up daily. I AM IMPRESSED. About a month ago she anounced that she was going to color her hair. Will she did it, and I do not know much about the process but she looks like the girl I married ten years ago.

How does my hair resemble the enviable curly tresses of a pre-raphaelite model rather than those on the top of a Standard Poodle's head? I have my hair cut and styled by Tim at Salon Blast in Seattle. I have spent years and an embarrassing amount of money to find a stylist who can give my thin, naturally curly hair style, body and the perfect spiral curls I see in the magazines -- and still be able to achieve the same look at home with no muss and no fuss in between visits to the salon. Finally, I found a good hair stylists, and have never been disappointed. Sometimes I would find a stylist who I could count on for a few good cuts and then would fail me. He is amazing. And for five years now, I have never had a bad or even so-so cut. I have also learned that many stylists will say it is the product, not the cut -- but they are wrong -- it is the cut. Anyone in the hair business will tell you that if a stylist can successfully cut curly hair, they can provide exceptional cuts for any other kind of hair. He is also one of the most genuine, warmhearted, and kind people I have ever met; and, I really enjoy consulting with him. What more could I want from a stylist?

I found Salon Blast through the "Best of" guide on Citysearch. I wanted to find a new colorist to help me heal my hair and hopefully get it to grow after some major hair color damage. I called the Salon and requested Yulia. It was the best decision I ever made for my hair! She has singlehandedly healed my hair and it's actually growing again. I have no breakage and the color is exactly how I like it... not brassy, just a nice light wheat color. If you like your hair light and have had damage in the past, you have to check out this place. She has made my fine hair stronger and healthier while keeping it as light as I like. The salon experience itself is also vey positive. Having spent most of the past 15 years or so getting my hair done in City Center, I wondered if a King County salon could measure up. I was pleasantly surprised to find that yes, they definitely could! Everyone at Salon Blast is customer service oriented and the staff makes an effort to make every person comfortable and even learn every clients' name. They are quick to hang your coat, offer you a Tea beverage or coffee. I even was escorted to my car in the rain when I forgot my umbrella! I am getting married in a few months and I plan to return! So far though, my experience with the salon has been excellent. Thanks !!!

Six months ago I found Salon Blast on CitySearch. After reading more than a dozen of reviews I thought I should give this place a try. Tim seems to have many years of experience and professional training all over the world, so I requested him to do my hair. On my first visit he was able to fix most of the red and orangy tha my previous hair dresser messed up. Six months later I came back wanting to brighten up for the spring. This time he ruined it. I spent half day on sat and the entire day on sun for him to redo my hair. He put 5 different colors and redo 3 times, but it just getting worse. My hair looks very washedout and trashy looking. Right now I have two different color on my hair and unfortunately my hair very damaged that he suggested I should wait for several weeks before dying it back to one color. Im very embrassed to to go work on Monday. He literally damage my hair...I had bad hair job before but nothing can compared to what Tim did. I was so frustrated that I busted into tear as I'm walking out of his salon. Please do not request Tim to do your hair (EVER!). He just doesn't know what he's doing! I'm not sure about his staff, though.

Truth be told, I never feel compelled to write reviews for anyone or anything For 20 years I have driven 2 hours to Manhattan to get my hair done a few times a year at the best of NY's hair salons. It is my favorite and only vice. Okay, so I'm really picky about my hair, and I just moved to Seattle. Tim is hair color Nirvana, and masterfully matched my colored and highlighted hair, and has made it even more gorgeous since coming to see him over this last year. I?ve seen quite a few of colorists on my quest for Mr./Ms. Right (Hair Colorist.) Each one left his or her mark on my hair and some were unremarkably satisfactory. But in the end, their color creations were really a product of their vision, not mine. I have brown hair and wanted ?blonde? highlights, and for some reason my highlights would always come out more in the ?red? family. Getting a good colorist is really hard to do. Finding one and sticking with the person is not an easy task. If I brought him a photo cut out from a magazine he would tell me the truth, he never would tell me something would look great just to appease me. That being said, every suggestion for a cut or color he's given me has been spot on. I get compliments often and have referred many to see him. After years of trying to find the perfect shade of blonde, I am soooo happy with my hair. I stepped out of there blonde and beautiful and all my friends were amazed with the results. Everyone at the salon was very friendly. The atmosphere is chill and there is no pressure and no attitude. The salon aims to please and keep its customers happy.

First time visitor to Salon Blast. I saw Mariah three weeks ago, and had my color fixed. She did an awesome repair. I have had many people from work, and the general public ask me about my spicy cut, and color. I found her to be incredibly confident, and completely knowledgeable. I really got enough information from the website to help me pick out Mariah as the hair stylists whom I would be most comfortable with my hair. The Salon is very comfortable. The other stylists seemed friendly. It was easier to find then I had imagined.

Third time visitor to SaIon Blast.I found them on doing a hair salon search. I was looking for someone who could get my blonde to look blonde, and not gold. Tim has done it three times, and all three times, I have been very satisfied. I come into Seattle for business three, or four times a year from Ft Madison, Iowa, where there are absolutely no stylists who are really skilled. He has been very good about helping me get in at the last minute. I have never written a review. So I hope this helps someone as much as it did with my hair needs. Tell them the lady from Iowa referred you. I think I have mead a lasting impression, and by that I mean a good impression.

I am a new client. One of my co workers saw Vanessa for a color, and it came out really great. She had me read some of the reviews. I am not easily sold.This place is not an over the top glam salon, and all of the stylists appear friendly, down to earth, and focused. She listened to my rambling about the last person who had a hard time understanding what I wanted. Then explained how she would tone without damaging my hair. She did a really nice job. I am sold. There is not a lot of bantering going on between the co workers, and the customers. It was a short drive from my office downtown, and I didn?t have to compete for a parking space. I have had a really rough start to my New Year, and my experience, and my new hair style have been like a breath of fresh air.

I found this place on city search and I am happy I did...My hair is very fine and fragile. So I was extremely nervious not to get it fried. I seen Julia for the first time. She was very gentle on me and gave me the perfect color and haircut, I had in years. The hair color looks very shiny and natural. She is the best if you want a layered cut on long hair. I am from North Carolina visiting Seattle on business. There are so few talented hairstylists in my area. I did a lot of research online before choosing Salon Blast, and I could not agree more with all the outstanding reviews. My hair was very dry, and breaking, and somehow Tim salvaged all the problems, and turned it into the nicest color of blonde. All of the research paid off.

I have to say, i'm EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with the cut i received from salon blast. i don't see what all the hype is about. i went to see juan to have a drastic cut. i showed him a picture of what i wanted to do, he told me my hair isn't suited for it (which is fine, i have coarse asian hair, maybe it would have been true). he told me he would give me a cut that would even out the layers i had. sounds like good advice right? what did he do? he gave me a blunt cut straight acrossace the back and shortened my fridge around my face. hell, i thought he was at least giving me a style. nope, he gave me a cut i could have done with a pair of scissors in my own bathroom. straight across. no graduated layers, nothing. and if that weren't bad enough, he tried to style my hair. i had one side poofy, one side with a hard angled kink.

if you have layering problems, stay away from salon blast. i wasted 72$, i hope you don't make the same mistake.

Follow up (Dec 19, 2008): Juan did actually send me a cheque for 72$ along with an apology and an offer to correct my hair once it has grown out somewhat. I think that shows a lot of decency and pride in his workmanship and that he is willing to go the extra mile to please his customer. I really appreciate people who have such morals. This is the definition of a smart business person. Thanks Juan, maybe I will go back in January.

I have known about Tim for over ten years. He has always been very modest about his ablities. He has been involved with some of the greatest living legends in hairdressing. I have been lucky enough to know him personally, and watch him evolve. My hair color, and styles have been stopping people in stores, and elevators from the first day he went to work on me. He treats me like a new client everytime I enter his business. I am sure that I speak for many other people who have seen him as long as me. This has been an outstanding journey. I went to see Tim at Salon Blast after doing a bunch of searching for a new salon that would have someone who would help me uncover the perfect style for me. I recently lost a bunch of weight and was ready for a change. Tim truly took the time and expended extra effort to listen to what I had to say and then gave me an absolutely gorgeous cut. I LOVE it! Tim also humored me a few days later when I had convinced myself that one side was slightly longer than the other by letting me come in and taking a look at things. He took a few snips (I think mainly to assuage my mind because it was a wonderful cut) and I was out the door in a flash. Thanks Tim! I'm looking forward to my next cut. :-)

My hair is the one good thing I have going in my life. It is very fine, and I have had a really hard time finding someone to lighten the color, and not turn it into gold. My husband, and I moved to the Seattle area four years ago, and I feel like I have visited most of the Salons in Seattle. I am really not that picky, but I like Blonde, and not gold. I was really excited to get into see the Tim the owner. He listened to my hair woos, and quite patiently assured me that he would get the color precise. It took him about three hours, and it is exactly what he showed me before we began. I am in my final year of medical school. The first visit here my hair was really damaged. I had no idea what was causing breakage, and gold\yellow. I have been to Salon Blast three times in the last year for my color. Each time Tim has spent a lot of extra careful time adding multiple colors, and now it looks vibrant. I don?t know all the terms they use for hair coloring, but I do not have any of the breakage, and none of the gold. All of my sorority sisters go to Tim, and Juan. We love them. I graduate this year, and move back to New England. I am going to need a little luck with my career, and a lot of luck replacing Tim, and finding a new hair color stylists. I should have written a review after my first visit. He is really entertaining, and very focused with cutting, or coloring difficult hair problems like mine.

What a pleasant experience. Three weeks ago I decided to get the courage to color my hair for the very first time. I am finishing with graduate work at the UW. It was just by luck of the web that I came into such great talent in modern hair art. My mom used to get her hair done with Vidal Sassoon salons in London. I know very little about hair cutters, but I knew of the Sassoon reputation. So I searched out the best in Sassoon styles for Seattle, and Tim Wilson kept coming up. He worked a miracle. I am so very impressed with what just happened to my hair life.

I am Financial Planner starting a new business in Seattle. For the last year I have been getting my Hair cut in Redmond Town Center. It has been nothing short of flat, and boring. I started looking for a new Salon, and found Salon Blast, on citysearch, and google. All the reviews stood out, and I got an appointment to get my hair cut with Tim. He showed me several pictures, and fixed a new style that, for the first time gave me bangs. He showed me how to dry the hair in a style that is pretty easy, and really had me looking a few years younger. He took his time, and it looks great.

I found Tim at Salon Blast for a hair color. My hair is very long, and naturally frizzy. It has always been a chore drying and flat ironing straight. I have never been able to wear bangs, or any look to short around my face. He was very good about first explaining how a shorter look around my face would balance, and give my face an oval appearance. He took a lot of time explaining how to simply dry my hair in the right direction, which was pretty easy, and would allow for bangs. He really did an expert job of coloring the exact tones to go with my skin shade. I was really impressed with his ability. My last stylists had no eye for detail, and surely did not have the training or skill that Tim used with me. I liked looking at all of his photo work in Europe/ London, and New York. I will be back again.

Antonio has been doing my hair for the last six months, and he has been doing a work of art. I seen so many nice reviews about Salon Blast, and wanted to add mine to the list. He exhibits versatility, and deserves applause for his coloring abilities, and hair drying talent. I have gray hair, and I have never wanted my color to look obvious. He does a nice highlight after the color, and lays the color on foils so the hair looks really natural.. I could not be more pleased.

This is my first review of a Salon Blast. Last week I found the Salon on Google and there were so many positive things written about all of the hair styles women received. I thought I would give them a challenge. My hair always goes gold, and it dives me crazy. I was a natural blonde as a young girl, and at 35, I am going ash toned. I had a really friendly consultation with Tim, and he patiently showed me colors that would address my concerns. It is the nicest I have ever left a salon. I heard about Salon Blast a few years ago from the girls I work with in Bellevue. Three of them get there hair done and one sees Juan, and tow see Tim. There hair looks light years better since they began going. I had a really frying experience at a big salon in Bellevue. I brought in a picture of the blonde color that I wanted. The colorist added my color, then LEFT THE SALON FOR LUNCH. After she refturned, and rinsed me off, I could see the look of concern in her eyes through the mirror. Eventuall I could see that she had turned me into a red head. She stopped, and ran over the the front desk to tell them something. I can only guess that she was preparing them for my tears.
I made an appointment with Tim Wilson the owner at Salon Blast. He did a really great job of returning my hair into a really beautiful ,wearable color, and I sware to the good lord above my hair cut has lasted me 6 months. He used 8 colors, and it rejuvenated my hair texture.I have never had so many nice comments from strangers.

Vanessa colored, and cut a really beautiful new style. She is very sweet, and easy to talk with around hair styles. I was impressed with the shine of my hair. It is much easier for me to style. I went to salon Blast to see Julia after my friend got her color done with her...And I have to tell you that she exceeded my expectations a lot. Everything was PERFECT color and cut. She listens but also gives her own advice on how to make you look your best. Very fun to have a conversation with so you feel like you get your hair done by somebody you know for a long time. There are plenty of salons out there folks but this one feels like home, though if you want the fancy one might be not right for you .

Heard great things about the staff at this place from coworkers. While attending a trade show in Vegas saw a women in our hotel who had a beautiful hair color, and she told me she was from Seattle, and had it done at the Salon Blast. Small world. My hair is long, and has a lot of weight. I go too long between cutting, and coloring. So I want it to last. I had a really good consultation with Tim, and wound up looking very, very satisfied. I had to wait about three weeks for an open appointment, but in the end I am glad that I waited. The color really worked for me.

This is Salon is a rich find. After moving here from Dallas a year ago, I have been to several salons on the eastside, and not been overly satisfied with the color, or hair cutting skills from any of the hairstylists. A woman at Nordstrom?s working in the Makeup department had a really cute style, and she referred me. She raved about Tim Wilson?s training at Vidal Sassoon's in London each year. She told me to be prepared for a whole new experience in coloring, and hair cutting. She told me to look at this site, and read some of his reviews. My hair color just came out better then I have ever had it look in the past. The only set back was my appointment. I had to wait two weeks to get in. He is busy. It was still worth it.

Last week I was a first time Salon Blast customer. I have lived in Seattle for three years. I moved here from Boston. I have been to a multitude of Hair Salons in Bellevue, and Downtown Seattle. I saw a woman at the Fremont Solstice Parade who just looked adorable. She told me she found Salon Blast on citysearch.. So I looked up their website, and looked at Salon Blast?s website, and liked what I read. I have very fine hair. It has always been a challenge for hair salons to get rid of gold. Tim spent about three hours talking to me, writing down coloring ideas, drawing shapes of hairstyles, and coloring, and cutting my hair. He matched up a really great idea for my face shape, and showed me how to dry, and finish my hair. I would have to agree with everone who has written about him. I made an appointment from Montana with Tim the owner at Salon Blast. We just do not have hairstylist in Montana with any degree of expert training. We travel annually to visit my Family in Capital Hill, and I timed my visit with a hair appointment to get some expert help with my hair, and features. I actually saw a girl in Montana, who had been to Seattle, and had her hair done at Salon Blast, and she told me about Tim, and suggested I look at the Salon Blast website, and read reviews on citysearch. Everyone seemed to suggest he is very good. So I worked it out. He answered the phone when I called, and told him where I was coming from, and told me it was turning into a run of ladies coming from Montana on summer vacation, and getting their hair colored at the Salon. LOL. He spent about 3 hours patiently combing though my hair, and studying my facial features. He showed me several pictures, and we looked at a color palate to match up tones that in the end just look really exceptional. Same with the hair style. I could not be by happier. If you are reading this from Montana. I can tell you it is worth the money. You won?t be disappointed. I have been stopped in Stores, Elevators, and at work with compliments.

I moved to seattle six months ago. I went to the big named Local salon for a cut, and the young lady who worked on me was really very nice but was unable to produce the cutting needs of my head shape. I went to a second big name salon, and it was better, but not as great as my Hair stylists in Los Angeles. I asked one of my coworkers who did her hair, and she told me about Tim at Salon Blast. She raved about her 7 years of wonderful looks, and changes he produced for her. So I did allitle research online, and saw that she was among a large group of very satisfied people. I showed Tim a few pictures of my ideas. Then he showed me a lot of his work from Sassoon's in London. I never realized how conservative my hair style has been. In the end I told him to do whatever he liked, as I had an event with my friends for a 'girl's night out.' He transformed my hair color, and gave me the most professional cut I have ever had in the 41 years of having my hair cut. I get it now. He is a journeyman stylist with a professional approach, and artisic flare unmatched. I went home to Los Angeles, and my mother saw my hair, and made an appointment for herself. I couldn't be more satisfied, and recognize all of these other reviews about his workmanship. I liked the low key atmosphere in his business.

Based on the numerous positive user reviews, I went to Salon Blast last week and was not disappointed..in fact, I absolutely loved it. After living in NYC and Philly for a number of years I was having trouble finding the right place and the right stylist in Seattle. I had bounced around to a handful of places that had received good reviews but I either found the salon or the stylist sporting a "hipper than thou" attitude or just general poor customer service. I had the most amazing time at Salon Blast a) because the atmosphere was down to earth, b) Antonio (who I'd just met for the first time) instantly felt like an old friend and c) I walked away with the best cut and color that I've had in years - if not ever! Antonio is extremely skilled, comes to the table with great suggestions and was happy to take the time to explain his strategy and how to keep it up on a day to day basis. I'm hooked - and so grateful that the search is over. Antonio is it!

I am not at middle age, but I am stairing down the barrel, and I am not going graciously. I am Asian, and I had not had a hair cut in 16 months. It is not easy with twin boys running around your feet. My husband took the children allowing me a few restfull hours of Grooming, and relaxing. It took about three weeks to get in with Tim, the owner at Salon Blast, and it was worth the wait. He just returned from training in London, and had a lot of outstanding ideas for my round face. He cut my fringe around my eyes like no one has ever done before, and I have been flooded with compliments. This place is the real thing. Now I know why people have given so many positive reviews. He is a terrific people person, and really stays focused on the hair, and not a lot of over chatting about the weather, global warming, or George W. . My hair does not have a perfect pattern around my face, and he took an hour, and a half to teach me to Air dry in such a way, that an engineer like myself can actually do, and have it looking really nice.

About a month ago I was in a bad hair state. I had tried to dye my dark brown hair blonde at home and it had turned out quite bad. I was in dire need of getting it fixed, yet I was also very wary of hairstylists as I had always successfully dyed my own hair for over 10 years and also had my hair cuts over the years done by my family, the only people I really trusted to do a good job. I had also gone to two other Seattle area salons for consults in the weeks prior, and in both instances felt uncomfortable by the way they treated me, talked about my hair, and the solutions they offered.
However, I had spent much time online reading reviews on Seattle salons, and felt quite convinced that I would have a good experience with Salon Blast, so I took the leap of faith and made an appointment.
First, I can say that they were very responsive. I left voicemail on a Saturday evening, and received a call back the next morning on Sunday, and was in the Salon by the very next morning, Monday, getting my hair done. Second, I found the location very convenient, and the salon to be a comfortable, relaxing environment. Third, let me comment on Julia. I enjoyed many things about my experience with Julia. First, she really took the time to determine the right color I was looking for. She didn't rush it, or pressure me; it was a real dialogue about what would be best for me, what color would fit best with my skin tone and eye color, etc. Second, while applying the color, I really enjoyed my conversation with Julia. She is personable and enjoyable to talk with, and also very honest and direct, and real, which was very refreshing. Third, when it came to my haircut, I was going from long to short for the first time in almost 10 years, so it was a big step for me. Yet, Julia made me feel confident she knew what she was doing and what would look good for my face, and so I trusted her. And in the end, my hair looked great. I would highly recommend Julia at Salon Blast.

Saw hair stylist Antonio for the first time for my color, and I could not be more happy. He is a gentleman, with a lot of talent. I have to agree with so many of the other positive reviews, and say that this boutique style Salon is probably the best Salon in the city. It is not the cheapest, but I got what I paid for, and do not feel ripped off in the least. My style is modern/ alittle trendy, and the color is off the charts beautiful. I have to also suggest checks, or cash. No one seems to like credit cards in this place. No biggy, I wanted what I got. I usualy do not write comments. My husband found this place online while working in Pheonix, and made the appointment. He suggested this place earned another word to review readers.

I recently had the pleasure of having my hair cut and colored by Julia @ Salon Blast and I love it!! I never thought about going with a red tone and when Julia suggested it I was a little apprehensive. I always thought having blue eyes, I should be a cool blonde. But Julia was great with her suggestions and didn't just do whatever I asked for. She really cared that I left looking good! Next time, we are going with a dark shade of red!! Can't wait!! I am a newbie to the Seattle area and spent weeks searching the Internet for a great hair salon. With so many overwhelming selections to choose, I decided to give Salon Blast a try based on citysearch reviews. I originally intended to book an appointment with the owner; I also was interested in Juan based on his website bio and he was able to fit me in right away! I walked in with big expectations considering I was satisfied with my previous stylist in the Big D. I waited four weeks to write this review to see the lasting results of my color and cut. He listened to what I wanted, toned down my highlights by matching me with a beautiful color. Although he used a semi-permanent color to be sure I like the color, it still looks great after four weeks. He also listened to me about wanting to grow my hair out, and trimmed just the minimal amount of hair. The cut was the best part. My hair is VERY THICK and tends to get bottom heavy and bushy. This is the first time EVER that my hair lays flatter than ever! I usually can't continue to wear my hair straight by the 3rd or 4th week and switch to "bed head style" because my hair gets too thick, but amazingly I'm still flat ironing it and wearing it straight. The cut is beautiful. I absolutely love it. I definitely will be going back to Juan. He also recommended an awesome alternative shine gloss Broccato as opposed to the Pureology shine max I was using. When you leave the salon feeling beautiful and fabulous you know you've found a keeper!

This was my first visit to a hair salon in seattle. I found Juan at Salon Blast from their website, and citysearch. I have to say that he did a terrific hair color, and cut. Maybe you just feel better after wearing lousy hair for so long. Anyway it is a great little salon. Smiles on everyones face. You can tell these guys know what they are doing. They all look very intent working, like little bees building a large scale city of colorful heads of hair. Juan never asked me to write this reveiw. No one did, and normally I don't write a reveiw unless I am upset. So for me to add comments about any business is meaningful.. I will conclude by saying wonderfully creative, great work Juan

I saw Mariah for the first time. She is very cool, and hip. Down to earth. Has sweet personality, and is very good at cutting, and coloring. I am a recent transplant from Boston, and found her on this website. My first salon visit was to a big name chain salon that has been in the city for a while, and the girl did an averqage job, but nothing impressive. I am a loyal person, and I am glad I found this girl. She is excellent. The cost was very reasonable. The atmospher is hip trendy, and a little layed back. Music is not blairing.The rest of the stylist seemd very pleasant. .

I went in a couple weeks ago , and saw Vanessa for the first time to have my hair colored. She was so sweet especially after I was about 45 minutes late. She still took me in, and didn't rush me through. I haven't had my hair colored in a long time. She did a really outstanding job. It looks so natural, and healthy. I would recommend her to anyone. After she finished I had my hair flat ironed straight. Some of the other stylist came over, and joined in to help her stay on time. I had three people pampering me in the end. I have to say the service was really worth everthing.

I had my first visit to Salon Blast yesterday. I was instantly impressed watching Tim working on the Lady ahead of me. She had waist length hair, and he gave it the most amazing style. It was full, and wavy when he finished, and looked just beautiful. Before he started with me, we looked at a few ideas. I told him my hair gets very frizzy, and I cann't wash it daily. He showed me a couple of products that would help with the frizz, and then he showed me were to use round brushes, and where to flat iron my hair. No one has ever taken so much time explaining how to get my hair to stay manageable. He colored my hair, and it came out very natural looking. My husband never says anything about my hair, and all night he told me he cann't stop looking at me.It really looks the best it ever has. I am in the service industry, and I know how difficut it is trying to please the public. I know when someone cares about the way they do their work by the way they remain focused, and what they talk about while they are working. I am alittle over weight, and my face is a little round. He was very good at explaining my face shape, and how to frame in my face to give it a balanced, and oval appearance. I was very impressed that Tim accepts all of his telephone calls, and personally called me to remind me of my appointment.

I went to Salon Blast about 6 months ago, and haven't been back. Tim did my haircut because of all the wonderful reviews he recieved on this website. I was not impressed at all with the cut. He did take a very long time looking at my hair, however at the very end of the cut, he took a big chunk around my bangs area and just lopped it all off. I actually asked him why he did that, and he just said "it will open up your face more." Well, I have been trying to grow this out ever since. My new hairstylist I now go to was also wondering why he did this, and explained to me it was a really bizzarre thing to do.
I have to say Tim was really nice, and had a good sense of humor, but I don't plan to EVER go back. Especially for that price. Oh, and they don't even take credit cards.
My advice would be to anyone considering going here to save your money.

JULIA- all I have to say!!! I am so incredibly pleased with my haircut. I have gone to several different hair salons, but with no luck finding an individual who would cut/color the way I want, or even close for that matter. I was so impressed with the way Julia had cut my friend's hair (the color is beautiful too) that I made the appointment two days later. It has been about two weeks now and everyday I wake up I look forward to the way I will be styling my hair that day.Julia took her time to help me find the perfect colors (I am extremely picky) and I cannot thank her ENOUGH for her fabulous sense of style, WHAT A TALENT!!! I read about Salon Blast's GREAT HAIR COLORING in the Beauty Edition of Seattle magazine. Then I read all the terrific reviews on citysearch, and just found the salon to be everything they are written about. I am in medicine, and have a side of me that I can only represent through my style. I like very current looking cuts. A little over the top. I had a good time consulting with the owner Tim, on a really suitable look with my cut, and color. He came up with a dark backround, adding a beautiful crown section of light blues, and aquas.It was better then I could have imagined. I have been stopped a dozen times, and received countless compliments. I usually do not write comments, but the endless compliments has inspired me to add to the already many great reviews.

I've never written a review before, but this experience put me over the top. This place is the REAL DEAL! It's all it's stated to be and more. You don't get 140+ reviews of HIGHLY RECOMMENDED without doing something extremely well time and again. I can now pile on with, yet, one more review of HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I went to Salon Blast for the first time a few weeks ago for a consultation (complimentary, part of the outstanding service you'll find here) with Tim. He's an incredible professional with a multitude of experience and ongoing education here and abroad. The guy definitely stays current. When I went back for the actual cut a week later, I walked out with a cut that NO ONE has ever even come close to delivering (or recommending for that matter) in the past. Tim just has this amazing talent to size you up and determine what is really the right cut/look for you. He's very consultative and listens to what you want--definitely not pushy, but realistic with you in my opinion. The salon, and its professionals, is unpretentious in every way. Very comfortable salon, calming atmosphere. Easy to find in Montlake and parking was a snap -- no hassles like city center. If you were like me: desperate for change and hesitant at the same time, this is THE salon to embrace. I can't tell you how many people have commented and inquired as to where I went. I just moved to Seattle a month ago, and I have been pouring over salon reviews for weeks. Salon Blast had amazing reviews and was voted one of the top salons in the city. I was having a serious I hate my hair moment. and wanted it fixed today, I called up Salon Blast at 1:30 in the afternoon in hopes of getting squeezed in for a color. The oh-so-sweet person that answered the phone fixed me up w/ an appointment w/ Tim at 4:00 the same day. The place is perfect....everyone there was as nice as they could be....and Tim was amazing! He was super sweet. He completely listened to what I wanted and added some ideas of his own. And he is great at what he does! This is the best color that I have had in a long, long time. It's perfect! Thank you so much Salon Blast for squeezing me in and being so nice! And most importantly, thank you so much Tim for an amazing color!!!. In my opinion, this color was worth every penny.

Let me start by saying that Juan is unequivocally the BEST hair stylist that I have EVER been to... period. He is truly an artist whose medium just happens to be hair. With a cutting technique that can only be described as masterfully precise and personal style that is undeniably cool. When first started cutting my hair, last year, he really took the time to "learn" my hair. He extensively familiarized himself with my hair's texture, thickness, and growth pattern as well as the general shape of my head. Prior to visiting Salon Blast, I was not sure I would ever have a great haircut as my hair just happens to grow in, in a number of different directions, resulting in some pretty heinous and hard to manage cowlicks. I am not sure what kind of magic Juan worked on my hair, but I do know that cowlicks are no longer a problem, my hair is NEVER a pain to style and it consistently looks as good in week four as it did on day one. With the amount of hair that I have and speed at which it grows, I feel that my last point is a particularly important one. In fact, Juan cut my hair at the end of December and I actually received a compliment on it 3 days ago, over three weeks after the fact. Salon Blast is a clean, comfortable, inviting, and trendy space that arguably provides the best hair design and styling services in the city

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for your recommendation of SALON BLAST and I wanting to echo this because I had such a wonderful experience. I saw this advertisement on CitySearch and everyone spoke so highly of Tim and all of his nice stylists, and I thought I'd give him a try and I am proud to say I've found my dream stylist!! He took so much time with me, and really made me feel comfortable. We spoke for about 10 minutes about my hair. What texture it was, how it would look best with my face shape, the proportion of my face and neck and how my hair could be more flattering, and the best length my layers could be for me. I've never had a stylist talk to me about those things and it was really awesome to know that he knew what he was doing. Everything was so individualized. I highly recommend him as a great stylist and a really wonderful person. Stylists like him don't come around very often! I am glad to have had this experience.

I got my haircut by Mariah yesterday and when I got home my husband said "That's the best haircut you've ever had." I totally agree. I have had several bad experiences with stylists in the past who seemed to listen to what I wanted and then cut my hair differently. Mariah took the time to listen to want I wanted and then did EXACTLY what we discussed. My hair rocks! I now have a very chic shoulder length bob. Mariah took her time and made sure every hair was perfectly cut even after she was finished blowing it dry. I loved the one on one attention I received. If you think that the prices at Salon Blast are a bit high remember: you get what you pay for. My haircut was worth every penny! The salon itself is very warm and inviting. Mariah introduced me to Tim (salon owner) on my way out and he seemed very nice; as was everyone I met there.

My hair can be difficult to deal with because it is very curly - I've had my share of really awful haircuts from some very expensive salons that's for sure. Both Tim and Yulia are wonderful...I got one of the best cuts I have ever had from yulia a few months ago, and just had my hair colored for the second time and it looks and feels fantastic. Yulia did a wonderful job, and has a terrific sense of color and style with respect to what would look best on you. I feel great, and really love the salon. It is low key, but high style and high quality, which I value greatly. Even better, it is right in my neighborhood so I don't have to go downtown and do the whole parking thing and all.
The only thing I would change is that they don't take credit or debit cards. Cash or check only. Since I rarely use cash, and almost never write checks that can be hassle, but now that I am used to it I just remember ot bring my checkbook when I go.
Bottom line: You can't go wrong with either Tim or Yulia, and Yulia has a really terrific touch with curly hair and how color and cut affects curls.

I went today to see Vanessa. I was nervous, because I have waist-length boring hair , which I have no inclination to change, and the past few years I have been to 'long hair specialists' in NYC. I also survived a number of hair nightmares between ages 10-17, so I know what I do and don't want, but am not too good at withstanding pressure. I've also been to numerous fancy salons. Vanessa was very assuring and did not pressure me at all: she must have sensed that I had no desire for layers, etc . She cut very little of my hair, just as she said she would, and she did a great job: blunt at the back, just what I asked for. She took her time and she was kind and thoughtful. I talked over color with her, too, and she was good at convincing me to to do this at a future point. No sales pressure, and the salon was not intimidating at all, as I feared it might be (I'm not a chic person, even though I usually pay the big bucks to be sure my hair is preserved properly). Vanessa was kind and trustworthy, someone I would recommend to people with long hair who value their length! I looked around for a bit before settling here, and I'm glad I did. I'll go back and feel assured when I do. By the bye, the price was quite reasonable: $55 plus tip! In NYC, I never paid less than $100 for a trim, so this is a real find. Thank you Vanessa: for listening to me, keeping my hair, giving me a nice trim and, best of all, a hairdresser in Seattle I can trust.

I am visiting Seattle from Berlin and was on my way to the museum at Discovery Park. Lots of hipsters in black and colorful Japanese fashions; but I fell head over heels for a haircut that stood out, ran over to the girl. It was done by Tim at Salon Blast. The salon was only 5 blocks away and I got an appointment by sheer luck. I LOVE my haircut, but now I'll have to fly back to Seattle every six weeks to have it done. Oh well!

Mariah has always given me that experience! She gives me the best color I have had in years. Not only is the color fabulous, she also uses product that has kept my hair healthy. Her cuts are also unbelievable and I always leave feeling great. Mariah has always been available for me and we have so much fun when I come in to see her. I am visiting from Boston, and made an appointment with Juan to get my hair colored. He patiently worked for 3 hours foiling, and coloring a blend of beautiful, deep rich colors. The results were better then my expectations. He, and everyone in Salon Blast , are very personable, and friendly. I sipped tea, and received full pampering. the entire time I was in the Salon.

I had my first Tim Wilson/Salon Blast experience today and it certainly lived up to all the other 5-Star reviews on this site. I called yesterday and was lucky enough to grab an opening from a last-minute cancellation. I was slightly apprehensive when I walked in, simply because I'd read of Tim's extensive credentials. I was a little worried that with those stellar hair-styling abilities, I may encounter an attitude that I would just have to overlook in order to get a great hairstyle. Well, I got the great color/cut and nothing but sincere intention to provide the best quality experience possible. I felt relaxed and that I was working with someone who wanted to connect with me from the get-go. The salon itself is cozy and completely unpretentious and it was a relief to realize that I was paying for service and not salon overhead. Tim was gracious from the moment I walked in and patiently listened while I did my best to communicate my expectations. He offered some photos to look at and I found just what I had envisioned. Together we arrived at just the right ideas for cut and color and that's exactly what I got. The outcome of my experience was of the utmost importance to him and he spent over three patient hours with me. The best endorsement for Tim and Salon Blast is that within an hour of leaving the salon, I had two complete strangers ask me where I had my hair done. They were actually in awe of the color, as am I. I was very happy to recommend Tim and Salon Blast to them. I will definitely be back and can't wait to see what the next steps are for my hair!

||I read about her on the Salon blast website because I was looking for a person in Seattle who used Framesi Hair Coloring. She did an outstanding miracle on my hair. I told her that I am never pleased. I think it made her alittle nervous at first. It didn't matter. She finished my color, and it came out the best it has ever looked, and I am VERY PLEASED.
. I read here that it won the best of citysearch for hair coloring, and I would have given it my vote.Salon Blast is a trendy Salon. the parking is ok. not perfect, but that's Seattle. It is easy to find, and 10 minutes from work Downtown.I would give it a real 5 Star rating.

I generally do not write reviews. However I wanted to add to the already many compliments that others have written about on Tim, and his Salon. I have been going for a year now. I am getting married at the end of the month. I mentioned this to him on my first visit. At that time my very curly hair was dry, and the color was flat. We discussed a plan to have me ready in time to look great for my big day. I think he adds 8 colors to my hair on every visit. I really don't know how he does it, but it looks incredibly natural, and makes me look a lot younger. Who doesn't need that? I have been in 4 times this past year, and everytime I leave looking really, really good.. I am a Dentist, and see a lot of people daily, and people always ask me who does my hair. Before going to Tim, I was never asked who did my hair. I would say that he is the best hair stylist that I have ever known

Salon is an easy drive from southeast King County. Approx 30 minutes from Covington going I5 and taking first exit (Montlake) off 520. Parking can be a challenge, but once inside the atmosphere is comfortable. Price is within reason and affordable. Antonio is a genious with color and highlights. His cuts and styles are the bomb! Antonio is extremely talented and I trust my hair care to no one else.

I was in Whole foods, and I could not take my eyes off the checkers hair cut, and color. She told me Tim at Salon Blast did it. That was the third time I had heard someone suggest Salon Blast. My hairdresser Ghram Breakwell just retired. I loved Ghram. I spoke to Ghram recently, and he said that Tim was a great stylist, and also trained with him at Vidal Sassoon in London. That was all I needed to hear.
I checked out their website, and it reaffirmed all of the training all the stylist received, so I wouldn't be as nervous about a new stylist.
Tim was very patient with me. I was really impressed with how highly he spoke about not only the other stylists in his salon, but many other hairdressers in Seattle. He didn't have a bad word about anyone.
I told him to go ahead, and do whatever he wanted. He spoke to me about suitablity, and changed my coloring, and cut, and I love it. My husband liked it, and he never says a word about what I do with my hair.
Honestly I have received compliments from family, and at work. I was so excited, I told Tim I would write a promising review about him, and the Salon. So here you go Tim. Thanks again

I called Salon Blast after reading some of the stellar reviews here on Citysearch. I was desperate, as I stupidly colored my own hair at home, which turned out to be BRIGHT red, then went to another place to have them correct it. My normally light auburn hair turned out looking like a witch - it was a murky black and uneven with red undertones - a true mess! I had cried my eyes out the night before, and didn't think I would ever get even a semi-normal hair color. I called Vanessa the next morning and she got me in the same day. I felt like a idiot walking in, but nobody gave me a lecture about home hair color, or made me feel uncomfortable in any way. Vanessa is truly a gifted colorist, and she did her magic on my hair. I almost cried when I saw that my own haircolor was back! She was methodical, patient, and personable in her work. She didn't try to be a pushy salesman or try to make me buy any of thier products, which made me feel even more at ease. She even called me a few days later to check up on me, which I really appreciated. I will always be in her debt for fixing my horrible mess!

I love shoes and makeup, but hair is Priority One. I've been to most salons: Marco Two Union Square, mode, Seven, Salon Matarazzo, Tewl, Gene Juarez, Obadiah. I know far too much on the subject.

Tim is a great listener. I have long, thick, straight hair and a round face. I hadn't seen out of my left eye for years..time for bangs. Plus a cool, dark color (deep mocha) with a few highlights.

Tim is a master. He's modest and down-to-earth, and speaks highly of his colleagues (he knows everyone and he has nothing but wonderful things to say about them and other salons). He's the first stylist to tell me I was only 10% gray (no overly aggressive coverage needed), and that full bangs wouldn't work well because my bangs naturally part in the middle of my forehead--they'd never lay right. He didn't just dismiss my request by saying they wouldn't work. Tim is gentle but fearless! He did foils, then color, and brought me a white chocolate latte as I waited. Did I mention he's the owner? He's all about the client.

Tim's cutting technique is different from any other stylist I've ever seen. Highly technical and precise. This speaks to his extensive training with Vidal (yes, the stylist and legend) and constant learning (annual trips to London, competing in shows). When my hair was dry, Tim took me outside to show me the color. The highlights were so subtle--that fabulous, "oh, I just popped over to LA last week" look. My bangs turned out really nicely. He cut them like I've never seen anyone else cut them--from the top of my head (not the top of my forehead)--which made my round face look more oval. I told him I'd given my straightening iron away, because I'd been unable to create waves with it. He busted out major Hollywood waves in less than five minutes.

I left looking and feeling like a million bucks. Love this salon, can't wait to go back!

My hair is VERY fine and fragile and I have experienced terrible breakage with past colorists and very artificial-looking (roots too chunky) highlights. I went to Vanessa and asked her for very natural, all-over highlights and she did a wonderful job. The outcome was just as I had wanted and had never been able to get from other stylists - without breakage! It was very natural and the color seemed to flow throughout instead of just at the roots, I think she said she used lowlights to blend it all in? Anyways, I will definitely go back to see Vanessa, it seems that a lot of stylists / colorists will do what THEY think is best, even if you tell them specifically something else and she really listened to what I wanted while using caution on my fragile hair.

After I moved to Seattle from out of state, it took me a while to find the right hairstylist -- prices seemed high in Seattle and not as much technique to back that up. Tim's haircut stands apart in that it's actually worth the price. He constantly trains himself and his staff, and personalizes the cut to my needs and character. His annual trips to London's Sassoon Academy definitely keeps him up to date about the latest techniques and technology.

My hair is not committed enough to be curly but too wavy to be called straight, so rather than cutting my hair just in the wet state, the hairstylist has to see where and how it falls when dry and cut it dry. Dry cut is an acquired skill, and not many stylists can do it, but Tim does it for me to avoid the dreaded "cut in the middle of the curl and sticking out all the time" look (only those of you with curly hair would know what I'm talking about).

This last time I took a plunge and went short, then changed my mind slightly about the cut afterward. I went back and Tim fixed me up gratis, no problem. He is very humble and considerate, and I highly recommend the salon. I've also gotten color from both Mariah and Tim; they are both great at giving you subtle (not "hey, I painted stripes" highlights) yet different (not dime-a-dozen) colors with depth.

Inconsistent to the point of a terrible color job that cost over $200 to repair at another salon. Owner takes no responsibility for the work. Saw my hair was being ruined and watched it happen. I was freaking as the stylist saw my roots had gone tomato red and then she tried another ammonia based color in a haphazard way that created 2-3inch black roots.....no kidding. Then a temporary color to try to cover that. Cold surroundings with bad lighting...wonder how they can do the work.

I first saw Mariah a few months after my daughter was born. I was sleep deprived, feeling completely unsexy, and in desperate need of some TLC. I gave her the vaguest directions ("I want to feel sassy and I don't want to put a lot of work into it"), but that was all she needed to work some magic. I definitely felt sassy again and I received compliments for months after that hair cut! Every time I see Mariah, I not only get a great cut, but I have a fun time. She's a very cool woman and I'd follow her anywhere (just please don't go anywhere).

I went to Salon Blast after reading reviews on City Search and it totally lived up to the hype. Mariah is fantastic with cuts and color. I have chin length hair which isn't a lot to work with but Mariah always does something a little different that gets me tons of compliments. Just today I was in the elevator at work and a group of women said "Okay, we've voted and we love your hair". Besides making your hair look awesome, Mariah is also super cool!

After searching for over a year to find a new hair salon, I finally found Salon Blast. What I discovered here was Tim, and his capable, friendly, and talented staff, whose top priority was customer satisfaction. They didn't carry my color line that I liked, so they custom ordered it for me and have been ever since I started going there, and they keep meticulous notes on the formula they use each time. Prices are reasonable too. The people are very nice there, the seating is comfortable, there's lots of light, it's a very convenient location, and they strive to offer appointment times convenient for me. Tim really is a very talented hairdresser. They offer you plenty of good CURRENT magazines laying around to pass the time while waiting on your color to process or what not. I've never had a bad experience there, and I even had the courage to get bangs cut on my very long hair for the first time in 20 years because I trusted them so much. That's saying a LOT! Great place - great people - great quality - great atmosphere - great location. What more could anyone ask for? :-)

I've never written a review like this before, and I had to create an account to write this one but I recently had my hair colored by Mariah, and I have never had so many people stop me on the street saying that they just had to tell me how wonderful my hair looks. When I went in my hair had been colored a few too many times and had lost its shine, after Mariah was done it looked better than it ever did before I damaged it! I will never go to another colorist and I would recommend her to anyone!

I really felt like this was the first time in a long time I talked to a hair stylist who listened to what I was saying. I brought in several pictures of what I thought my hair could possibly look like. The first thing Tim told me was that he was a hair stylist not Gandoff the wizard, and that he could help with improving on my expectations. We looked at the pictures, and he told me that a picture was worth a thousand words, and he cut my hair precisely like the picture. In fact it looked better then the picture.
I think the more information you bring a person the easier it is for a professional to understand what you want to accomplish. Maybe it's that I didn't really expect the impossible, and the results were better then that, and I am happy, and my hair is holding it's shape. He has a way of making you feel extra special.
Everyone seemed very friendly.

Tucked in a quaint corner of Montlake is a salon passionate about hair. Tim Wilson and his team keep themselves educated and motivated about all the latest trends in hair design and hair care. Tim keeps everyone educated about the science, the art and the emotion of HAIR. I have had wonderful cuts from both Mariah and Tim. The salon is very focused on customer satisfaction and i cannot imagine a client ever being rushed or persuaded into a decision he/she might not feel comfortable with. Just make sure you communicate, then let them be creative. Since i am fairly new to this salon, i still get asked plenty of questions about my lifestyle, hair history, wishes and peculiarities. Then i get the cut to match. If you come to Salon Blast, expect to get your head examined! Definitely a good thing every now and then!!! My time in that magic chair was truly all about me and my hair. Tim -- Thanks for another great haircut today. I know you really care. Let's see how long I continue to get comments on this one!

Tim Wilson is fabulous. My hair color is beyond my expectations. I appreciate his professionalism, kindness, talent, he is courtious and has a vibrant personality yet serene. If you are looking for high quality, beautiful, glamorous hair and a wonderful experience ask for him. The salon in general is very professional, the environment is light, airy, and everyone is very attentive. I have a very demanding schedule and I am used to high quality professional service and I found a perfect fit with their services. They are not trying to push you to buy products. They do have a very unique selection of high quality products but they gently familiarize you with their quality and benefits. I invite you to experience this place and to leave feeling and looking fabulous. I had to wait a week to get my appointment, but is was worht it. I wasn't rushed. He spent about three hours. I needed my color repaired so I visited Vanessa at Salon Blast, having heard so much about it. She did an excellent job at understanding what I wanted, and spent a lot of time explaining what I needed to know, and she was very patient to make sure the result was exactly right. I took the advice of this website and tried out Salon Blast. Tim butchered my hair! I told him I wanted no drastic changes and to just frame my face a little better and he HACKED FOUR INCHES OFF THE BACK! And he did nothing to the front. I look like the Dutch boy on the paint can. This is the worst salon experience I have ever had. I would have been better off going to SuperCuts or something. DO NOT COME HERE!

After my colorist in New Mexico retired, I thought I would never find someone who made haircolor and highlights so beautiful while still preserving the health of my hair. Then I learned of Mariah from my sister in law. After making my first visit I was hooked, and for the past year I have flown to Seattle to get my hair done by Mariah . I was even offered a modeling job because my 'hair color [was] ( and is ) so beautiful'. The products she uses along with her great ability allow my hair to stay soft and undamaged, not to mention the sincere hospitality experienced when I walk in the door. I have since moved to Seattle and am so happy to be closer to Mariah and the salon. Flights from Albuquerque to Seattle can get expensive multiple times a year, but it it was well worth the color, compliments and compensation from the new modeling job!

I just turned 50, and I am about 50% gray. My hair was to the middle of my back when I came to Salon Blast. I looked older then my years, and really wasn't aware of it until my make over with Tim the owner at this business. My husband, my siblings, and all of our friends have told me to say with this guy. They said he is a miracle worker. I went in last March, and he colored my hair, and it has lasted, and looked natural until now September. I would say that's pretty good. He put in a shape that lasted just as long. My experience was very, very good. I had a good consultation before making the change. So I felt comfortable. Great job!!!!

I've had a hard time finding someone to cut my hair and address my concerns. I came across Salon Blast through citysearch and was convinced to make an appointment after reading so many excellent reviews. My experience was very similar to those described in citysearch: It was fantastic. My hair was a mess. I walked into the salon with a bad hair cut and color. My hair was also extremely dry. I was concerned about adding color to my over processed hair and having to resort to cutting the length to improve its condition. I was truly amazed to see how Vanessa transformed my hair without risking its length. I was even more shocked to see how the color correction had improved the look and feel of my hair. Vanessa is very talented. She is very confident in what she does and her confidence helped me be at ease. I felt very comfortable but more importantly I felt very hopeful that my hair was going to look better. She also enlightened me with her knowledge in hair care and provided some really good tips. I have put her advice into practice and my hair's condition and look has been so much better. I will definitely be seeking her services again.

Well......not sure why all these other people got five star cut and colors but my hair came out middle of the road. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't the most fabulous cut and color in my life either. I would describe it as, meh, middle of the road. One thing I did like was that my hair was gloriously shiny, which I received many compliments on. Tim seemed like a nice fella too. Parking is not the best, in fact it stinks, narrow residential streets that you have to parallel park on (ick!), and he doesn't take credit cards either - what the heck?!

I've held off on reviewing this salon for 2 months because I wanted to see how the cut and color lasted. I made an appointment with Tim in July for color correction, and even though I'd visited another salon (that is highly ranked on this site) a month earlier for a cut and color. I can safely say I've never worked with someone so talented -- the color is nearly perfect 2 months later, and I can still style my hair without much effort. I've never been able to say either of these things about another hairdresser, and I've seen MANY over the past 10 years. Tim took the time to talk about what I wanted to do, and what would work best long term, and explained the advantages of each choice. Not only did he do an amazing job on the cut and color, he took the time to do it right. Though the appointment was initially just for color correction, he squeezed me in for a cut at the end. Also, he had squeezed me into his schedule on the day he was leaving town for a conference and ended up spending about 3.5 hours working on my hair. I'll make it back !

Salon Blast is a haven for anyone who appreciates being listened to and understood. I have been seeing Juan for my cut and color for over three years and have followed him to Salon Blast. He is an amazing stylist and colorist and to top it off his consultations and customer service can't be beat! He's honest and if it absolutely can't be done, he'll tell you so and then work with you to find something that will work that you will probably love even more. Let me tell you where I send all my girlfriends! Juan at Salon Blast is hands down my favorite stylist and the only person I trust to put color in hair! I have been in the Beauty Indsutry for over 6 years now and Juan has been doing my hair for most of them and I am always satisfied, leaving Salon Blast feeling better about myself and my hair. The Salon is very trendy. It is relatively easy to find from Bellevue. I got directions off the website google map, but don't be fooled by their directions. The Salon will give you a more efficient route.
This place insantly gives you a cosy feeling. I like that. it was easy for me to listen to some of the advice on hair coloring, and cut. I looked at pictures for about 10 minutes, and we went over exactly what I wanted. The results were just a great success.
I usually don't write reviews, but the owner was so thoughtful. He worked diligently on me for 3 hours.Very curtious. If he cann't do it, he will tell you why it won't work. That was my experience.

This is my third time returning to Salon Blast for color, and shaping. Each time I have had the equal attention, and quality level work done. In fact each time has been a little better then the last. I have seen Tim all three times. He always has an interesting story about his travel, and training. Most of which has been with Vidal Sassoon, or someone who was trained by him. My hair color, and shape has never looked better. I don't usually take the time to write comments on citysearch businesses, but after three visits, I thought it was worth describing.

I made an appointment with this salon a month out from my home in the Grand Bahama Island of Freeport. I am a business professional in Real Estate. The sun and environment are very hard on hair where I live. My hair was very damaged. I saw the owner of Salon Blast. He was extremely patient, and very skilled. The results where extradinary. I have never seen my hair this healthy, and colorful. I have seen Cristof in Las Vegas, and in New York I have had Sally Hershberger as a hairdresser. So I know good work when I see it. I do not get to Seattle often, but I will be back, and have my hair done here again. Everyone was very friendly, and welcoming. It was worth my time to take a cab from down town, and the bus back downtown.I agree with all the other reviews on citysearch. Salon Blast is the best salon in Seattle.It was worth every penny

First of all the only reason for my visit to Salon Blast is the fact that I am a long standing client of Sonya Komen. When I entered the facility I was not dissapointed as Sonya has always chosen a forward moving salon to use her talents in addressing and creating exactly what is right for each individual client. Sonya takes the time to listen to you even if she has been doing your hair for years, as is my case. Never is she locked into one mode that suits you. I have gone long, short, really short, back to medium and then started the whole thing over again. As for colour... insanely red, back to natural, platnuim blonde, natural and then foiling in several colours, I believe Sonya to be the best colour tech in SEATTLE! Sonya has a gift, she can see you and your lifestyle and create exactly what you need. I travel from Birch Bay WA to ensure that my hair is done properly. Don't think I haven't tried to find a more convenient way to deal with my locks however I have always been severly dissapointed. Sonya has other clients that travel as I do...Count your blessings if you live close. Give her a call, set up an appointment and watch the amazing transformations that Sonya can create for you just by listening and using her gift!

Mariah is absolutely amazing! I walked in to Salon Blast about 2 months ago for my first appointment with her. My hair was pulled up, leaving no attention to it. I had been on a hunt my entire life of hair to find "the one." She went through different styles and options. Mariah worked with the color I was trying to grow out, and cut my hair in a stylish, unique, and fun design. I've had so many compliments and am proud to wear my hair now. She showed me how to style it and all. She has a great personality that makes it fun to get your hair cut. I also just went in yesterday for a trim, and when left happy again. I am moving to Portland this week and plan to keep my relationship at Salon Blast here in Seattle when I come to visit family. I highly recomend Mariah for anyone!!!

So...my hair was fried. I had extensions and a couple of bad bleach jobs in Las vegas. I had recently moved to Seattle and had no idea where to start. First of all, I was scared of what a hairdresser would say. You know the kind of hair stylists that gasp with eyes wide open and call over all of thier coworkers to come touch your hair and tell you how much your hair su*ks? Thats what I was scared of. So I went looking on the web for someone... even a freelancer, who wouldnt make me feel like a git for destroying my hair. I found Salon Blast on citysearch. I called up on a Sunday and Juan answered. I asked him when his next available appt was, and to schedule me for it. Thank goodness he had a cancellation, I was in a week later. I walked in thinking that I just needed to face the music and prepare for the insults. NOPE. I walked in and Juan had just finished up with a girl who went from orange and black hair to a beautiful red. I instantly knew this man was a genius. I sat down a little nervous and he made me feel right at home. I told him I wanted to be blonde and that I was allergic to hair bleach. No problem. He went right at it. We were jammin to music and laughing so hard at everything from Family Guy to Wal Mart. I felt like I was with my best friend. My hair ...to say the least...is beautiful. I always wondered why some people who deal with the public on a regular basis can be so nasty and downright rude. Salon Blast was a breath of fresh air. No catty, rude, gossipy hair stylists...just perfectionists...artists at work.

I have been going to Sonya for 18 years and I can't ever remember one time that I wasn't thoroughly pleased. She understands me, my hair, and what styles work for me. Over the years the styles have changed (no kidding!!) and Sonya has always been right on top of it. My hair is very fine and not very thick and her styles and color give me a look I didn't think I could have. I can't tell you how many people have stopped me and asked where I get my hair done. She is a genius with color. She highlights my hair with 3 different shades giving my hair interest, body and a look totally natural...just better!! And she is just a cool person too. My son came into town for a ski trip this winter and a friend of his who is in school to become a stylist experimented with color on his hair and.. let's just say... he wouldn't take his hat off it was so bad. He was embarrassed and the guys would have fun teasing him. I called Sonya and she totally fixed the problem within hours of picking him up at the airport! He couldn't believe it and neither could I!! Sonya rocks!!

I have been getting my hair colored, and cut for over ten years by Tim. He has never given me anything short of the very best. I would recommend him with the highest of regards. The hair designers are very professional and always do a great job. They have a consultation before starting and explain what they recommend based on the face shape and hair texture and your lifestyle. He took my hair from really dead, and dry, and added a really soft color which added a lot of shine to it. Juan got me right in The same day I called. We had a good consultation. He has knack for doing hair. I am in my early 40's, and my hair is begining to gray, and loose it's natural shine. Now it looks better, and feels a lot healthier. I would rate him very, very highly. It took a while for my hair to absorb the color, but is was worth the wait. My co workers have all commented on how nice I look. Finally something looks good.

She is a very talented colorist. My hair has more shine. I had her reverse my color. She said it add a lot of shine. She was right. It came out as shiny as glass. Vanessa is the best hair colorist that I have founf in Seattle. We really liked the atmosphere. It is a very professional Salon. You can tell they take a lot of pride in their work. This was a very good find.

My sister and I have been getting our hair colored by many salons, and most of the time we end up looking like we have the same cut. We told Juan to give us something very fresh, trendy, and different from one another. My hair has always been a challenge to color. I like blonde, blonde, and it always turns out looking like wheat. Juan did it. I am blonde. He really listened to me intently. I am very perceptive to people. He is a very pleasant attentive designer. He told me about his backround in fashion as a designer for Bebe, and his years as an educator in coloring which gave me enough confidence to let him attempt something new..
I am very impressed.
The Salon is really trendy. it looks like the secret is out about this place. It went from quite when we arrived to scrambling with busy smiling workers ingaged in their artful skill. The rest of the workers offered us refreshments, and gave me a welcomed vibe.
I found the salon on google. I enterd the best hair salon in seattle, and best hair dresser in seattle, and they kept coming up.
It's very easy to find

My sister, and I had Juan color our hair. We told him that people are always trying to make us look alike, and we wanted something different.
He is a good listener. He repeated back to me in a language I understood exactly what we I was telling him. Then he talked to us about our head shape, and skin tones. I have never had anyone take so much time show ing me pictures.I really liked him. I wanted something fun,and different. he discribed the way the colr would work , and how the shape would accent my eyes. Wow what i wonderful change. I AM VERY INSPIRED BY HIS ABILITY
He is very professional. He didn't a lot about movies books, or mundane things. He did a fantastic job of cutting .I am very pleased.

I got my gray covered, and it hasn't faded in five weeks. After moving here from California, I have tried several Salons in Seattle. This is the one I am keeping. My last hairdresser told me that my color faded fast because it was gray, and I just believed him. I found Tim at salon blast. He told me that some of the newer colors had more color pigmentation, and they lasted. I am really happy with this business. I really recommend it

My sister has been goign to Salon Blast for a number of years. She has been pleading with me to get something done with my hair for quiet awhile. Tim examined the way my hair was growing, and how it would rest after he reshaped it.. He showed me a lot of photos of what would work with my face, and exactly what colors would flatter my dull looking hair. We looked at a few pictures from his website of shapes, and colors he thought would fit my life style. It really worked.
I came out better then I imagined. My hair has more shine, and feels softer then it ever has in the past.

I have been getting my coloring done with Tim for alittle over 16 years. This is what why I love him. He has never been passive with my hair color , or shape. He has been enthusiastic about working in really great,great styles from day one., and every visit since has been concentrated, and contemporary. HE Has drilled into me that my hair is my number on accessary .
He has an amazing history with hair, and is very scholarly, and respectfull to the people in is trade.
I know he travels alot to London where he works with, and as a student at Vidal Sassoon. He speaks so highly of Vidal Sassoon.
I am so greatfull for all the time, and tireless effort he has given to my hair.

I have recently had my second hair appointment with Tim at Salon Blast and I have to say it was just as satisfying and enjoyable as my first. I am an asian american with long, thick hair, and I normally find it difficult to find the most flattering hairstyle since not many people have such long, waist-length hair. When I arrived at Salon Blast for the first time I immediately felt welcome, comfortable, and Tim showed interest in getting to know me, as a person, and wanted to know all my concerns, thoughts, ideas, and questions I had as to what I wanted my hair to look like. I went into the first appointment wanting to get a beautiful long, layered, jessica-simpson look and Tim met, if not exceeded, my expectations. During my second appointment, I went in not knowing what kind of look I wanted, and I still left two hours later with a great cut that gave character back to my heavy hair. It amazed me how Tim still remembered me and what haircut he had given me at my first appointment, even after not seeing me again for a few months.

i highly recommend going to salon blast. If not for the talented, well-educated and professional individuals that work there, for the friendly, fun and comfortable environment they provide. Everyone at Salon Blast are people people, and you can tell that they definitely love what they do.

Everyone in the shop is very friendly and Vanessa is fantastic! She is exceptional with color and I love the cut she gave me. She really listened to what I wanted (and didn't want) and had great suggestions for color that goes with my complexion. Since I found Vanessa, I wont let anyone else touch my hair. I drive 45 minutes to get to Salon Blast, but well worth the drive! Fun little Salon not far off of 520, very easy to find.

I moved here from Arizona 6 months ago with a disastourist Hair color. One of my colleagues from the University of Washington highly recommended that I give Salon Blast a chance to fix my hair. It was the best recommendaton I could have possibly received. I am Hispanic. My hair is dark, and my prievious hair dresser tried to make me a blond. My hair was damaged,dried, and broken. Tim reinvented me. He restored the shine, and colored my entire head with glowing highlights, and an all over color. He gave me what he called an Emo shape. Something he learned in London. Honestly I look at myself ever time I walk by a mirror, and cann't believe it's the same person.
Salon Blast is a very personable salon. Their work is 5 star.

This is my 6th year with Salon Blast. I get Red Carpet service. Tim has been my colorist. He has done a great job of tailoring my hair, and keeping me pretty happy with great looking color. I get a lot of compliments from strangers. Tim tells me my number one accessary is my hair.
The Salon has a trendy feel, and all of the stylist are genuine, and very friendly.

I am forever on the quest to find the best hairstylist for my crazy hair, and have been to a lot of different salons and I've found the best hairstylist in Juan. My hair is very thick, very curly, very coarse and very dry. I saw Juan yesterday, and he gave me a cut that works for my hair - I can wear it curly OR straight. Usually, when I see a stylist, I leave with too many layers or the cut is just not what I wanted. Juan really listened to what I wanted and gave me the best hair cut! When I got home, I received a ton of compliments from my sisters and girlfriends. I won't be going back to my gal at Gary Manuel! The parking was free and it didn't take me a half an hour to find parking either!! It was a fantastic experience all the way around!

I also visited Salon Blast based on all the great reviews it has received and my experience was just as wonderful as everyone said it would be! I was a bit nervous walking into a new salon and trusting a new stylist, because since February, I have been recovering from a very bad haircut that I received from a highly recommended salon in Bellevue. But, my nerves immediately disappeared once Tim started studying my hair. He was like a detective investigating a crime scene as he examined the wreckage performed by my last stylist. Upon his completion, there wasn?t a hair on my head that went unnoticed by Tim. His analysis: with the information I gave him on how I liked to style my hair, he recommended that I grow it out before making any big changes. He said he would perform anything that I wanted, but stated that based on the look I was aiming for (and the recovery of my curl) he thought it would be best to hold off on a cut until my length increased. I was so impressed by how well he listened to my wishes and concerns as well as his honesty about what he thought was the best solution. I ended up leaving the salon with a trim, (which really improved my look) and a little color (partial foil), which I just love! Without a doubt, I will be back to see Tim for more color as well as a haircut and style in the future. Tim, You Rock! - Alex

I found the colorist Mariah to be an absolute jewel. She offered a variety of ideas, and her knowledge, and choice of color shades for my hair were excellent. I got to appear on " Northwest Afternoon" television as a maker over guest. She worked with my face shape to create a really suitable, tailored cut.
I think that anyone would enjoy Mariah, and give her a very high recommendation.
All of the staff were very,very friendly. I never felt ignored

Tim has been my guy for 16 years. He has been my brothers hairdresser for 12 years. He really has a patient way of handling my picky hair needs. I have changed color, and shapes a dozen times, and I have never had anything short of perfect. He is a perfectionist. I know he likes to travel a lot to his seminars. He has tremendous gifts for doing hair.
About the salon.I like it, as it is easy access from Bellevue, and parking is a breeze. The people who work with him are friendly, and seem to be very talented, as they are busy too.

Tim is a professional stylist with a couture technique. This involves him learning about your preferences, taking into account your face shape, facial bone structure and hairline. Moreover, Tim is passionate about hair. Specifically, by continuing to take classes in London, California and New
York, he is on the cutting edge of the latest cut and coloring techniques. His eye for hair color compliments every cut.

In November 2006, I received my first haircut and partial foil which highlighted my features. My cut lasted the test of time and grew out very nicely (this was a first compared to cuts at previous salons)!
Therefore, I had to see Tim again in March 2007. Both times, I received numerous compliments especially from men! I couldn't believe it! If you want a fresh new look followed by lots of compliments, then see Tim!

I went to Salon Blast based on the glowing reviews on CitySearch. I
made an appointment with Tim for a consultation because I didn't have
a clue what I wanted. He was very patient with me and showed me lots of
photos and explained to me what my hair was capable of doing and
listened to me tell him what I was capable of doing in terms of fussing
with my hair. We came up with a plan and I made an appointment for my
new do. I love it! Even my husband, who hated to see my stringy long
hair get chopped off, likes it. I get lots of compliments on my
hairstyle from friends and even strangers. The cut, color and
highlights fit my face and my sense of style and is very easy to
maintain. I just came back from a vacation in Mexico and spent lots of time in the water and my hair even looked good after just drying in the wind after a swim. I feel and look younger (at my age of 52 that's greatly appreciated) and much more stylish. At my last appointment withTim, he threw out some ideas of new hairstyles for me to try. I'm totally content with what I have now, but it's nice to know there's more fun things Tim can do with my limp fine thin straight hair in the future when I'm ready for another change. Tim has the patience of a saint and the vision of a genius, he certainly worked a miracle on my hair! Soon after Tim was asked to do a make over segment on " NorthWest Afternoons" televison show, and he chose me to be one of his before, and after models. I was so flattered, and excited about being on televison. It was a lot of fun. We had makeup artists redo our faces, then Tim and his staff styled our hair. I got to be a North West American Idol
for an afternoon. It was a thrill.Since then I have sent in two girls from my office, and they look sensational too.

I was visiting from out of state and "Salon Blast" was recommended. My experience was none like I've ever experienced. The owner was extremely knowledgeable in the art of coloring and determining a cut that would be right for my facial features.....it was perfect!! The staff was warm and friendly. My only regret is where I will ever go to get the service and style that was received at Salon Blast as I am from a small town in the East. Kuddos go out to Tim Wilson and his staff. I went to Salon Blast after reading about all of the awesome reviews on CitySearch. I had a horrible experience with my hair color at a salon in Woodinville, and I went to Vanessa based on feedback from this website.

Its a smaller salon tucked away in a neighborhood, but Vanessa has great skills and she corrected my hair. She was so sweet and personable and she was extremely knowledgable with color. She took 3 hours to fix my hair and it was gorgeous! The salon owner was there as well, and he was just as charming.

I hightly recommend Vanessa. The salon was pretty busy the day I was there, so word is out about this great salon.

The only dowside is that parking was bad, there were so many signs around the neighborhoods that were 2 hours only and permit parking only. IF you go in for a color and cut, its longer than 2 hours. But, I was told that they do not tow your car, they typically ticket you, and I never got a ticket.

I recently saw Tim perform make overs on three women on the " Northwest Afternoon Show." They all looked impressively, and amazingly transformed .
I Have done nothing with my hair in over a year. I live on an island in the San Juans, and we don't have a lot of trusting salons to pick from. I convinced my two friends to make appointments with me, and the three of us made a weekend for girls into Seattle. Tim took his time with me. My hair is thinning on top. It was long, gray, and no shape. We talked for about 20 minutes. He showed me his portfolio of models, and discussed in detail what would work for my color, and shape. I have had nothing but endless complements. I feel, and look ten years younger. Mahriah, and Vanessa colored, and shaped my girlfriends hair, and they are equally delighted.

She helped me throughout the whole process keeping it looking like it had a style and a good shape even through the tough middle time, she was always encouraging, even when I almost broke down and wanted to to cut it all off - she helped me through it! I just moved to Seattle about 6 months ago and this is third salon I've tried out. The first two salons really screwed up my color and my hair was really dried out. After reading reviews on Salon Blast, I decided to try them out. I made an appointment with Tim, the owner. I told him about the bad color I received in the past (and he could see it!). He was very thorough with the color matching. He really took his time with me. I don't have long hair but I was there for about 2 hours! I am very happy with the color and the texture of my hair. It's alive again! I've gotten many complements on my hair ("is that a new haircut?") because of the color. Thanks Tim!

I went to Vanessa Pugliese at Salon Blast looking for a stylist who could get my haircolor right and she did a wonderful job. My hair is grey and therefore really hard to color but I wanted a natural looking blond color with light brown texture. I had tried several other stylists, but the color didn't cover well, so my hair was too light and washed out. I was frustrated by the experience and had just about given up when a friend recommended Vanessa to me. I now have beautiful blond hair that looks so natural people are shocked when I tell them I am almost 100% grey and I am told I look much younger. That alone makes it worth the effort! I was surprised at how reasonalbe her prices were & she has given suggestions on how to keep the cost down when maintaining my new haircolor. Thanks Vanessa for a great job!

I have been getting my hair professional colored for over 15 years now. I spent 14
years going to the same company but was in a pitch right before my wedding and went
to Salon Blast off a recommendation. They totally came through for me! I have never
had so many people comment about the color or my cuts then I have after visiting
Salon Blast. Tim is magnificent. I love that he can remember things we talked about
the last time I was in and how great my hair looks when I leave. They really do know
how to take care of you. I didn?t feel like I was being ignore or anything, just
different. You need to speak up about what you like or don?t like at times or they
tend to do what is in fashion for haircuts at the moment for whatever your face
shape is. But I always get a consultation talk before the cutting or coloring of
my hair, and he does listen if you tell them what you want. It is costly if you
are used to Great Clips for a haircut but worth every penny trust me and a
little less then other normal salon in town when it comes to foils. I get great attention.

I have very curly hair and I like to wear it straight. I believe that most stylists
cringe at the notion of blowdrying long curly hair. I asked the salon for a stylist
who wouldn't shy away from the task and who would be able to do good work with my
type of hair and they recommended Juan. I requested a layered cut that would
frame my face and I wasn't disappointed. In fact, Juan took extra time and used
both a blower and a straightening iron to ensure I got the look I wanted. He was
patient and confident which put me at ease. What resulted was a wonderful cut and
straight silky hair. And what was really amazing was that the end product withstood
a rainy/ Seattle weather. I will definitely be back!

Two days before moving I got a disastrous haircut in another city - on the order of a "divot" of hair missing from my head - no joke! I found Tim Wilson and Salon Blast through Citysearch. He managed to mend the damage and over the past few months has helped my create a new style and new look. With his gentle encouragement I have even entered the world of coloring, with fabulous results. My hair was in bad shape, then I found Mariah on CitySearch. She gave me one of the best cuts I've ever had. She toned my over processed hair (which was contrary to my skin tone) and created a color that truly matches my skin. It has been one and half weeks and I AM SO HAPPY WITH MY HAIR. She actually told me not to come back for a while so I can have more growth and my hair can get healthy ( I am getting married in August- so I want it to look good). I mean how many stylists are so honest that instead of recommending I come back in two weeks so he can make more money - she actually told me what was in the best interest of my hair. So yeah- I think I found a new home for my hair.

I went here on a whim purely on the basis of the reviews on Citysearch hoping
that the other reviewers were not wrong. After discussing and thinking about my
haircut, Mariah gave me a cut that has held up to my washing and self styling -
I was very happy when I left, but wanted to see how much was Mariahs? skillful
styling. I'm very satisfied both with the cut and the salon in general. Service
was courteous - No suggestions that I try their other services or purchase
products. I arrived 3 minutes early and was taken 2 minutes early - how
delightful. I will definitely return.

3 Stars: Worst cut/color (by difficult)

I don't normally post reviews, but felt the need to let other people know about the salon. I don't understand how this salon has high ratings. I too found it on Citysearch but was very disappointed. The cut and color were terrible. (and I've been to many salons). I had to go somewhere else to get it fixed!
They may have lots of training but it doesn't seem to be put to use.

I am a life long Vidal Sassoon junkie, and while on holiday I was in need of a new look. I asked the concierge for the best salon in the city and he recommended Salon Blast. To my delight I realized that the staff was trained in the Vidal Sassoon technique. I was even more delighted when I found out the Tim, whom I think is the head colorist, if not he should be. He had also trained at the London Academy . In short the experience was by all means pleasurable and I received nothing but compliments from friends and family. My mate especially likes it.

I felt like I had a true consultation with Juan before he gave me amazing color,
and a great cut. I feel like it's rare today to find someone who actually takes
time to listen to your wants and examines your hair. I could tell he was very
experienced and knowledgeable by the tips he gave me. Nice atmosphere and everyone
was friendly. Highly Recommend!

Mariah brought my hair and my confidence back to life! I had taken horrible care
of my hair in the past few months and had tried to color it myself at home. The
result was an uneven mess. Mariah was understanding and helped me decide on a
color and highlight combination that would be close to my natural color with some
funky, modern flair. Not only did my hair turn out FANTASTIC, but I had the best
time while having it done. Mariah is so friendly and warm, and we had a great time
chatting - she is so easy to talk to. Mariah and Salon Blast gave me world-class
service without any intimidation - one of the best salon experiences I've ever
had.

I went to this salon after having found them on this web site. I was booked with the owner for a cut and foil. Although he was friendly enough my hair sucked! There were these spots where the color had come out of the foils. My hair looks blotchy. It is the worst color I have ever had. The cut was not much better. I felt rushed through. I certainly would never go back. I'm not really sure why this salon has such good ratings.

Since moving to the Seattle area 6 1/2 years ago, I have tried almost every one of the highly- advertised, well-recognized salons in the area, and have paid much too much for average haircuts and poor color. Each time I scheduled my appointment at a new salon, I specifically requested a stylist with a special talent for cutting curly hair. I also requested a skilled colorist. After each appointment, I returned to Portland to the stylist I had worked with for several years to have her do color correction and a new cut. Tim really understood the color I was looking for, and was able to integrate his vision with mine to give me the best color I've had in years along with a new cut that I am receiving compliments on daily. My experience at Salon Blast was so refreshingly positive and professional --- and by that I don't mean just cleverly marketed to appear professional. I was not rushed through my appointment, and felt that my satisfaction with the cut and color was very important to Tim. His extensive training, skill, and commitment to providing exceptional results without the false hype will keep me returning and telling anyone who asks that I am exceedingly pleased with Tim and his salon.

I have been getting my hair colored, and shaped from Tim for about 4 years. People stop me in the elevators, the bus, doctors office, on the street, and ask me who does my hair. I should be his personal public relations representive. I change my clothes everyday, but I cann't change my hair everyday. I do not need to. He does a fabulous job of helping me look very contempary, and feel good about my image. I am a financial consultant, and I need to represent myself as very confident. Thanks to Tim I meet that need. He's a skilled professional. He just has a great way of seeing into my style, and making it fit. He always goes out of his way to get me into his very busy schudule.

I have worked as a hair dresser\ colorist in Laconia, New Hampshire for over 10 years. My approach to hair coloring is very aggressive. I love bright rich tones. I came to Seattle for a wedding. I needed an updo for the wedding, and I found Salon Blast on citysearch. I got an appointment, and wound up having the happiest experience of my trip. Tim, and I speak the same langage of color, and fashion. He saw fresh ideas for my color tones, and shape, so I gave him a green light, and let him go for it. He gave me such a marvelous fresh look. I am even amazed. This guy really challenges himself each year with extended training, and hair fashion educations. He trains with the Vidal Sassoon advanced education team in London, and keeps his deplomas at his work station. He just knows ellegance, and how to make a person look, and represent beauty. The color, shape, and updo were perfect. These guys project no attitudes. He's just a very focused, gracous designer, and I am glad to give him alot of credit. All thanks to citysearch

I just turned 39, and wanted to update my hair style. My co workers kept recommending the stylists at Salon Blast. Four of them are loyal clients. They all look like Glam girls. Fresh, and current.
I made an appointment for a consultation. We examned the drab, dry color from the over bleaching that my previous colorist had done. Tim showed me pictures, and explained how my face shape, and skin tones would work with the right color formula.
What a great professional. His ability is just short magic. My new shape frames my eyes. The hair looks fuller. The color is excellent with lots of rich depth. There is good body ,and a shine that I haven't had in years. I can wash my hair, do nothing else, and it falls perfectly.
He really deserves being recognised as one of the best stylist in Seattle.
The Salon is very fun, and atmosphere is artistic. He gets my rating of 10 out of 10. I am a real person, and very pleased to pass on the referals

I moved here from NYC for Grad school. I am very, very attached to my hair dresser at Vidal Sassoon on Madison ave in New York. He met Tim in London at a hair training seminar, and recommened him.
Iam used to of living in big cities and I always go to the best salons wherever I am. When I went Salon Blast for the first time I felt that they were very welcoming. All of the staff is very nice. Its not one of those flashy big places, It's trendy, and Independant, and they know what they are doing and that is what really matters. You can tell that they take personal interest in every client and they make u feel like home. I got my higlights done,and hair shaped, and The style looks excellent. He did a great job. I am not very easy to please but he took his time and remained very patient with me.overall my experience was great and I would highly recommend it ,and I would go there again Definitely.

Myria, and Tim Did a long, serious,yet gentle consult with me, and I went with their professionall vission. My hair was pretty long, and now it has a workable shape, with suble accents, It looks better then natural, and not too edgy. I should have gotten more. They knew their business. there really is something about a new look that gives me confidence. Thanks guys. You really are the best. All the education they continue to get has a great payoff espescially on me. I will send my wife, and friends. I am very serious.They are talented

I found Salon Blast to be exactly as they represented themselves. I got a first rate consultation on a new hair color. Tim spent a couple hours weaving, and designing a fabulous looking new color. It was just a worry free experience.. The Salon Decor is very natural, and independant. Everone was very gracous, and polite. I am a nursing student, and I need to look very professional.

I Had a very brilliant blue, and aqua color foiled into my hair line, and the rest of the hair foiled bright blond, and dark brown. The next day a makeup artist came to the salon, and completely updated my look. Then 2 photographers shot pictures of me for a national Hair competition, and a new trade magazine. I had such a fun experience. They gave me an armful of hair products. They were a lot of fun. The Atmosphere is trendy, and independent. I was pampered. The skill level is very high.
This is the second time I have used citysearch, and had a good experience.

I went and saw Tim about a month ago after having let my hair go for far too long without a cut or color. I was trying to find a new stylist and that can be a very nerve-racking experience! I knew right away that Tim was a great guy and he made me feel totally at ease. Since getting my hair cut and colored I have heard nothing but compliments and the big difference between that and any other haircut I've gotten is they all want to know exactly where and who did it. My mother, and I had a really nice experience at this salon. We are Russian. The owner made a sweet attempt to speak with us in our language. I am very darring, and my mom is quite conservative. I got a very cute short bob with blue, and aqua highlights. My mother had a short shape that really framed her face ellegantly. We would like to say that our treatment was excellent. It was a very good recommendation

I am new to Seattle. My hair dresser in Iowa suggessted I find a new Hair Salon on citysearch. I am a simple Iowa girl just out of Law school, So last week I went Mariah at Salon Blast . She's a really free spirted girl, and an extrodinary Hair colorist. I would rate her a 10 as a colorist. A 9.9 for my cut. The Salon is very trendy. People where very polite. The owner met me, and offered his help. I am pleased enough to highly recommend Mariah to anyone looking for very skilled coloring.

I am visiting Seattle from New Hampshire. I love citysearch, and read Salon Blasts reviews, and made an appoint ment with the owner Tim. What a charming person. He sat with me for 15 minutes discussing colors. We looked at his personal porfloio of work. He showed me Picutres of models he had done in London at the Vidal Sassoon Advanced Academy. He showed me pictures of him with Vidal Sasson at the North American Hair awards. It was very impressive. I am a natural red head, and not at all conservative. I just trusted him and let him do what turned out to be a magical work of art. I have been stopped on the streets and been marveled at by strangers over my hair cut, and color. I cann't get over how nice I look. He called me the day after my service, and tried to have me return for a complimentary follow up visit. I had to leave town for home, however I would have gone. He really is an Ambassator to his trade.

Saw Mariah at Salon Blast this evening and got the best color i've had in years! I feel absolutely fabulous! The salon has a great neighborhood feel - unpretentous and comfortable. Mariah spent a good amount of time 'consulting' prior to starting her work and I found her both friendly and funny. Her confidence gave me confidence! I live in the neighborhood and walked into Salon Blast cold one afternoon when my regular stylist moved to the East Side and started charging too much. I was desperate--looking and feeling middle-aged and frumpy. Aaron sympathized and took me in hand.

He lightened my hair color and styled my hair shorter and trendier and I walked out several hours later looking radiant, with a huge smile on my face. A customer in the adjacent chair said it was the first time he had seen someone so transformed, and my husband, friends, and co-workers loved it. I continue to get many compliments on my hair cut and color, and have referred countless people to Aaron in last five years.

With this talent Aaron could charge a lot moreand work about anywhere he wants, but he likes the mellow atmosphere and lack of pretension of this neigborhood salon. Our good fortune!

I got myself into trouble by having a friend color my hair on a Sunday. I called around to try to get somebody to help me with my hair and it was not easy at 5pm on a Sunday evening like that. One of my mom's friends at work referred her to Salon Blast and her and my sister both went and got a haircut and color there. When they came home, I was blown away by how incredible their hair looked. I have never seen my sister or my mom look that good before..at least hair wise. As soon as I saw both of them I knew I had to go to Salon Blast to get my hair done. So I did and it was totally worth it. I have never had my hair colored before and I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with it so I told Joseph to do whatever he wants with it. He picked the perfect color highlights and did a fantastic cut. I came out looking gorgeous and have had non-stop compliments on my hair from everyone I know. And I gave Joseph's phone number to all of my friends so they can have him do thier hair since he is fabulous :) The entire salon is fantastic. The people are great, the place is clean and hip and most importantly, my hair was incredible and I am definately coming to Salon Blast for every haircut and color I ever get from here on out.

I have been going to Aaron for ten years. My cut and color are always good, flattering and done with
such care that it looks great between appointments. I have also had the opportunity to see how he works with other clients when I show up early. I have been a loyal client of Tim's for about 10 yr's. His expertise of current color trends and hair styles are always right on point. Additionally, Tim will shoot straight with you about looks that flatter and others that might do the opposite. INformative and concise, he is on the cutting edge of what--I'd consider--most people look for when seeking out a hair stylist. Tim has sufficient years in the business and knows his stuff. I'd recommend him to everyone......whether age 18 or age 80....he simply has this innate feel for what his clients are wanting to achieve. I came to Salon Blast because I was fed up with where I had previously been going to get my hair done and my husband, Dave, suggested coming to see Tim who he had been going to for 11 ? years not to mention my brother-in-law for even longer to get their hair cut. So I thought if they both are willing to drive to Seattle-UW University District area from the Woodinville-Eastside area than he must be worth it. The commute is actually easy and OH, hes worth it! The stylists at Salon Blast are artists.
I can describe the cut I am looking for and Tim knows exactly what I am talking about, and can create a fabulous haircut. The location is convenient to I5, 520, the Udistrict and Montlake. Parking is readily available on the street. The inside of the salon is painted in contemporary colors and the atmosphere is relaxing. I can usually schedule an appointment for the same week that I call. Reasonably priced, for some highly trained hair masters.

How lucky am I that Blast happens to be my neighbor?... Let me tell you. I dropped in on a whim and got an appointment the next day. Lucky for me, I was under the talented hands of Joseph. While There I studied with the legendary Annie Humphries, and The senior artistic director Mark Hayes. They are unquestionably the best Artistic directors in the world. About the people I work with everyday in the salon. They are a conglomerate of the most creative minds in the city. Vanessa is adapt with edgy, trendy colors, and shapes. Mariah has a keen eye for sensitive hair coloring, for short cuts, and is up to any challenge. Sonia is a Senior master colorist. She has trend setting ideas, and a big, big following. Julia trained in Russia, then in Seattle with Gene Juarez. She is always on the cutting edge with new ideas, and great trends. Juan is an educator. His students love him. He really has the best people skills. He knows color, face shapes, an hair styles. There are no big egos. I have watched these guys come early, and stay late for their clients, and train artistically on models. We like people, and we love creating exciting hair styles. I see Timmy who is a Vidal Sassoon trained hair stylist who just recently came back from London where he attended the Vidal Sassoon Master Academy. I have only been to Salon Blast twice but that is one more time then I have been to any other salon. On both occasions I felt that Tim, the owner and my hair stylist, listened to what I wanted and gave me exactly that. I quite often feel like I have to go fix my hair after having it cut and styled and yet after leaving Salon Blast I went out without having to "fix" what the stylist had done. Tim is very personable, friendy, and skilled. I highly recommend Salon Blast. Everything is resonably priced and you get good quality for your time and money.

Tim does a wonderful job and I recommend him and Salon Blast highly. He is skilled, personable, and reliable. I am rather conservative in terms of hair coloring, but when I recently decided to venture out and have a few highlights, Tim had just the right touch and it turned out perfect. He is both respectful of my wishes but encourages me to try something a bit different...I never feel pressured and I really trust his suggestions. Wouldn't dream of going anywhere else; it's a comfortable and professional salon.

Salon Blast is a cozy, easy-to-overlook independent salon with a fabulously talented and fun staff. Tim's haircuts and colors are easily the best I've found in Seattle, with the added bonus of being entirely reasonable in price. He is truly an expert in designing individual looks that work beautifully for a customer's hair type and lifestyle. The atmosphere is fun and friendly, with clients wandering in and out like friends, interesting discussions, and Courtney occasionally singing along with radio tunes. A relatively undiscovered gem so far - hurry to book yourself in before the rest of Seattle catches on!

Aarons talents as a stylist and colorist continue to improve with time. I have known him for nine years and it has been my pleasure to observe his capacity as a truly talented man. the promotion for two different visits along with a trip to the lazer center is very valuable. After my first visit to the salon, I was able to get color correction on my hair, along with highlights, moisture treatment, and a cut for about $95 (this will also include the lazer center and another visit at the salon). pretty good value, and Tim (the stylist) was very friendly and knowlegable about products that would be good for my hair. I didn't feel pressured to buy extra items or even to come back, but I definately will.

Tim did it what can I say. I am very fussy. I love Reds. He added several rich tonal shades. The cut was equally nice. They love it at work, and people have benn dishing out nice compliments. So I thought a good review would serve up his businees. He worked until 9pm on a Saturday
The rest of the salon is very cool. no attitude !!!!!

The Salon Blast is a well lit, comfortable environment to be in for any amount of time. I have my hair done by Brandi Votolato. She is an incredibe hair-stylist wheteher you need a cut or color. She is extremely creative and exerts confidence in her work. I would most definitely recommend checking out this salon.

Salon Blast has a very friendly positive attitude. Tim was great. He had knowledge of the products and was able to answer all my questions. There was friendly conversation, the overall visit was very relaxing and pleasant. I got a GREAT color and a FANTASTIC cut!!! I highly recommend visiting this salon, get the service you deserve.

Finally a high quality fun hair salon in the Montlake area. Tim the owner and the other stylists are warm yet very professional. It's hard to believe that in the Seattle area I can get a great cut and color analysis in a comfortable and trendy salon. It's more then a salon, it's my place!

Tim has been caring for my hair (cuts, color) for 13 years. I always find him to be considerate, informative and fun to talk with. I am a satisfied customer and would not think of going to anyone else.

After years of jumping around from one hair stylist to another, I found Tim at Salon Blast. Not only a great guy, he's a master at finding the right cut to suit my ever-changing lifestyle. I've been back three times and have had three great, different cuts that are fun and easy to manage.

Tim's also a perfectionist who doesn't rush through his work so I know there won't be mistakes that could take up to 4 weeks to recover from.

I highly recommend Tim and gang at Salon Blast. I just don't know what took me so long to fine them!
