To start off, this is one of the best golf courses in Minnesota, public or private. The course is a wonderfully kept specimen of intimidation. Almost every tee over looks the hole in a traditional parkland golf course style, showing off the wonderful Baker Park Reserve. From the top of the tee you see every obstacle in your way: water, bunker, or gigantic tree. The few holes that do have a blind tee shot offer tough challenges of making precise shots. While this is a beautiful course, it is tough and nasty. All of the greens are tiered. Ending up on the wrong level of any green will cost a stroke. If the greens are moving quick, the course plays at a level beyond any public course in the west. If a tournament were to come here, I would worry for the players. There is definetly room to move back the tees for a tournament. The first hole is a tough rendition in beauty, overlooking the hole with trees on the right and drop away hills on the left, it is not a good time to make a bad shot. Good luck, a 5 out of 5.
