I tried to fix a leak under my sink myself, but after a pipe snapped and started spraying i knew i needed a pro. i called action after i shut the water off, and they came out and fixed my leak i thought was coming from under the sink, turns out it was a dishwasher
they had the perfect chance to charge me big bucks.
but they repaired the clamp and tightened up the pipe, and was on thier way. only charged $$145.00 and parts they already had the clamp thingy
This was a good choice i made calling this company
they had clean uniforms, no cursing, seemed like church going guys. really seemed to care about his work,
they had the tools and parts ready from the call i made, so they were out the door fast. just what i wanted, the problem fixed and out the door. thanks guys
Your Company has the best plumbers in chicago
they are well trained. i have had great experiance with this company and others need to know.
they unclogged my drain 2 days ago, and repaired a pipe.
the pipe was rusted out. and he had an extra pipe on his truck
saved me money because he gave it to me free with the labor
so i only paid to open the drain.
these guys really know thier stuff, reliable, and trustworthy
I have gave them a key to my buildings because we put money on the table to test their trust, they called me to alert me money was left. so i tipped the guy.
and now i give them the keys. they have done one good job after another, and my trust has grown more and more, ask for paul he is really good and fair
Thank you for class A service
I called action plumbing and at 2am in the morning and the office lady told me the plumber would be out in 45 minutes, about thirty minutes pasted and a plumber showed up, i was happy there was no night charge for coming out so late.
the plumber knew exactly where my water shut off was located, where i did not even know where it was located. the leak was fixed in under 30 minutes and i was charged $125.00
I was so happy, it has been almost a year now so i decided to write this review. i am about to call them again for another problem when i seen this horrible review below. and just wanted others to know i had a fair and great plumber come out. and not to trust the bad review that may just be another company jealous
Hi my name is Nancy i called Action Plumbing @ 3:00am for an emergency service my sewer was backing up and my basement was flooding, I'm so happy that a live person answered my call and the plumber was at my location in 45 minutes his name is Alberto he is such a wonder-full and professional plumber, he only charged me $125.00 to rod out my main line. I'm so happy and i would recommend Action Plumbing to anyone they have such great and professional plumbers.
I am a plumber with action plumbing there is always to sides to a story this fine customer is calling this a scam he hires another company to put a piece of pipe and charges him 700 dollars FOR A TWO DOLLAR PART! we offered to clean up the mess but the customer said he will do it then he complains to the company this guy just wanted some thing for nothing he canceled his check so the entire job cost him nothing! HE IS THE SCAM!
This is the worst experience that I've ever had with a "professional" plumber.
The only reason that I'm even writing this is so that others don't get ripped off
by Action Plumbing & Sewer (APS) as I did.
My wife and I began to smell sewage in the basement of our home. I wasn't sure
where it was coming from but I knew that I needed to have someone take a look
at it. I opened the Yellow Pages and decided to call Action Plumbing & Sewer (APS)
based on the fact that they had a Better Business Bureau (BBB) insignia in their
I called on a Thursday to schedule an appointment for Saturday. The person to
which I spoke promised that a plumber would be at my home in the morning. She
also promised that they would call as soon as the plumber was on his way.
At about 4:30PM, a plumber from APS called saying that he was on his way and
would be at my home in about 30-45 minutes. He arrived about 30 minutes later.
His named was Gerrard.
After examining my drainage system, he determined that my grease trap was clogged. He
said that I could clean it out myself or he could do it for $185. I figured that
I'd spend the money to watch a "professional" do it once and then do it myself
in the future to save money. So I agreed to the rate.
He proceeded to go back to his truck for a plastic bag and a pair of gloves.
He was simply going to scoop the sewage from the grease trap into the plastic bag.
When he opened the top of the grease trap, I saw that it was pretty full. I requested
that he, at least, put something on the floor in case there was spillage.
He said that spillage would be minimal but went back out to the truck to get another
plastic bag and placed it directly under the grease trap to "protect" my floor.
The plastic bag that he put on my floor was 3 feet by 2 feet.
He then proceeded to open the grease trap and scoop its contents into his plastic
bag while standing on some paint cans that I had in the basement. However,
sewage spattered everywhere. The little plastic bag covering my
floor did little to collect the overflow. I was absolutely appalled!
Once he was done, I had sewage on my walls and floor. In a very light hearted tone,
he said it would all come out with soap and water! This was sewage! And it stunk!
And it wasn't just a little bit! It was a substantial amount of spillage!
He proceeded to wash his hands while I began to wash the floor and walls with soap
and water. Once he was done washing his hands, he asked, in a joking tone, for some
paper towels so he could help me wipe up the sewage. It took every bit of
restraint on my part to keep from punching this moron in the face. I asked my
wife to pay him and sent him on his way.
We had a 10% off coupon from the Yellow Pages and he couldn't figure out what we
actually owed him. So my wife had to do it for him.
Once he was gone, I noticed that the grease trap was leaking! Apparently, he didn't
close it properly. So I called APS and asked that they send any plumber other than
Gerrard to fix this issue since Gerrard had already stepped on my last nerve.
The woman on the phone said that they could either send Gerrard back to fix the
issue for free or send another plumber who could give me an estimate to fix
Gerrard's mistakes. Huh?
Apparently, they subcontract this work out. It's really pathetic that they don't
tell you this in advance. I wrote the check to APS so why should this affect me?
They could care less.
These were my choices and they knew that they had me with my back to the wall since
the smell of sewage in my basement was worse than before ever since Gerrard
opened the grease trap. So I asked that they send Gerrard back to fix what he
Ten minutes later, the woman from APS called me back to say that Gerrard would not
be coming back to fix the leaky grease trap since he claimed that it was working
fine when he left. He also claimed that there was never any spillage of sewage at
all on anything! In addition, he said that I should cancel the check that my wife
had given to him if we felt that the job that he did was substandard. Huh?
So here I sit on a Saturday night at 9PM. My basement smells like sewage. I'm
trying to find another plumber who won't charge me an arm and a leg to come on a
Sunday. And I have to pay $30 to have the bank stop payment on the check that my
wife wrote to APS.
Needless to say, I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau (BBB).
