Yates Automotive Service

Honesty and trust is unfortunately a lost virtue in many service industries in today's world. I used Yates in 1984 because of their location, and I continue to return no matter because I know that the wonderful front office crew will be direct, honest and earnest in all our transactions. They have yet to fail. Some of my repairs, on a variety of domestic and international cars, were great mysteries. If those issues weren't solved by Yates, the solution still came about through their connections who were obvious in their respect for the Yates customers. I recently referred my sister with her Saab, her dream car which has unfortunately become a nightmare. The Yates technician and the front desk guys not only focus on the most beneficial and economical repair, but also took into consideration her safety! Are you kidding me? Unheard of in today's world! And the fact that Yates is across the street from the Braddock Metro makes leaving/picking up completed vehicles a huge blessing. Yates are amazing professionals who not only represent the auto repair and fuel industry at a 5-star level, but also hopefully serve as an example to other businesses that goes beyond "just getting the job done". The aesthetics of the shop are straight out of the movies and cannot be compared to the typical service station of today. The only negative, yet handled incredibly well by the Yates team, is the holding/parking area for the vehicles being serviced; tough for those challenged in their parking abilities. I hope that lifelong return business from the Alexandria community and positive word-of-mouth benefits Yates for all time for they deserve the success.

The entire place is sparkling and the staff is awesome. I feel like I'm leaving my car with my best friend. The follow up regrading service and repairs is prompt and honest. Yates is close to home and even better, they're close to the Metro. It's very convenient to leave your car there in the morning and pick it up after work. It is without reservation that I recommend Yates.

I initially selected Yates based on the Christmas lights and decorations 25 years ago when I first moved here. I looked closer and saw the detail to the exterior maintenance and the cleanliness of the station. I figured anyone that takes that amount of effort of being a good neighbor and pride of ownership probably pays the same level of attention to its work. Yates adds value for his clients, whether it's a big job performed by his long-term mechanics or a last minute fix by his excellent service staff, or providing local youth groups a place to raise money with car washes at the station, they do it. Recently I ran out of gas on the Parkway, Ben sent the senior mechanic over with a gallon of gas, who stayed on the scene until I got it started again. What a relief to know I have people who I can trust and who genuinely care. Richard McGuire

I have used this shop for over 20 years.Once I went elsewhere and that was a big mistake.
They always provide great service and I have never had to go back for a repair that didn't go well. They are beyond friendly and never push things down your throat. They are very accomodating and treat you the same whether you have a Jaguar or a beat up station wagon.They sometimes have loaner cars or can give you a short ride if you need to drop off your car.
The other day, I had a flat tire and I was fixed and on my way in less than 45 minutes.Take THAT AAA!
