Aspen/Allcare and Ohio State Dental Board Executive Director Lili Reitz
The closing of Allcare Dental did not happen overnight. Their shady business and dental practices have been known in Ohio for more than 5 years. Everyone within the circles of dental regulation knew what was going on at Aspen/Allcare. The initial news is that Allcare dental offices closed their doors abruptly. Here is just a part of this story.

For years dentists have told the Executive Director and Dental Investigators of the Ohio State Dental Board that the Aspen/Allcare business model is unethical and unlawful. The Ohio State Dental Board is the government agency responsible for protecting the citizens of Ohio from illegal dental procedures and business practices. The Ohio State Dental Board is the agency that is empowered to regulate and prevent dental care that is below the standard of care. They are responsible for the dental profession by enforcing those parts of the Ohio Revised Code that cover the practice of dentistry in Ohio. Lili Reitz, a lawyer, is the Executive Director of the Ohio State Dental Board. Kathy Carson, Gail Davis, and Harry Pasku are the dental board??s Investigators. They were supposed to protect the citizens of Ohio.

Lili Reitz, Executive Director of the Dental Board has brought discredit to herself, Ohio regulatory and legislative bodies, and the profession of dentistry. It is time for Lili Reitz and dental board investigators Kathy Carson, Gail Davis, and Harry Pasku to resign or be removed. They knew what was going on. And they knew it for the past five years. Dentists employed by Aspen/Allcare, past and present, practically begged the Ohio State Dental Board to step in and do their job. Many of these dentists were certain that the Ohio State Dental Board would close the Ohio Aspen/Allcare dental offices before anyone got hurt. Some 150,000 to 200,000 Ohio dental patients have been ??abandoned?. These patients have been denied care and many have lost money. Lili Reitz, Cathy Carson, Gail Davis, and Harry Pasku did nothing. This is a part of the story.

Just this week on Aug 4, 2010 Allcare Springfield,Ohio I had the worst experience ever with an Office Manager there. If only I had check out before getting involve with this branch I would never have gone there, please people go someplace else this person is a liar, and so far the customer service has been a joke! This Office Manager belittle and called me names just because I wanted to switch and go the Dayton Office. I had this appt for 6 months, when I went on time and they have me sit there for 30 minutes than told me since I order the top of the line dentures they had to special order the materials and somebody didnt do it, so I said in a calm voice what about the Dayton office and the receiption oh yea and I will make sure you get in today so I continue to sit there waiting on her to call for the appt for about 10-15 minutes longer when than The Office Manager call me back into his office ask how I was and I reply back in a calm voice I would be better if his office was more organize, he wanted to take another day off work and come back in a week instead of going to dayton and getting it done on this day I already took off, when I refuse and started making suggestions the more irrageted he got to the point of saying I wasnt compassion or understanding, than on top of that he said the receiption told him that I was acting like a crazy mad woman out in the waiting area, so I get up and go out and ask the receptiontist if she said that and she said she didn't and there were 8 people in the waiting area that testify I was just sitting there I called the customer service line and a witness got on the phone to tell them this I HAVENT GOTTEN A CALL BACK OR ANY BODY TO SAY THEIR SORRY. One couple did get up and leave because they had been there for 2.5hrs and they were fed up
This was a nightmare I couldlnt believe I could get into such trouble just sitting there waiting on them to make an appt I dont get it!!! I would love it if there is anybody else out there would like to go and picket this place of business to let other people know how people are treated there we could get the news media involve and find exactly what is wrong with place. Allcare Dental does not care about providing good service.
They are only out to make money. I broke a tooth off on my
upper dentures and went to Allcare to have it repaired. They
did not bother to look at the broken tooth, they immediately
wanted to take xrays. I informed them that I had xrays taken
less than 6 months ago and did not need xrays and I wasn't
interested in purchasing new dentures. I just wanted the tooth
repaired. I had explained what I needed done when I made
the appointment. After the dental assistant came back from
speaking to whoever she had to confer with about my situation
I was told that they could not repair the tooth because I should
get new dentures. This place is a rip off and should be put out
of business. I am suppose to click a star to select a rating for
for this place. They don't deserve any stars.

My 23yr. old son went to All Care in Spfld Ohio. I went with him. He had some major work done and refused to go get his partial because how bad the Dr. and his staff treated him. They are hacks and butchers. The dentist he saw had just flew in from another state. I would say traveling dentist but it was more like the traveling circus!The receptionist talked on her cell phone to her baby daddy and said the F word in front and elderly couple.

Well , I get a call from Jason Larkin ( 1-419-309-1678 , Allcare rep. )on Monday the 5th , 07 and he would like to settle my dispute , ( while on conference call with the Dayton , Ohio chapter of the Better Business Bureau , who are there to just listen in ) Jason says he finally has an appointment for me to proceed with all procedures necessary to fullfill there part of the contract . " Can you be here on thursday the 8th @ 5:00 pm ?"
I said you bet , I need these teeth pulled A.S.A.P. !!!!!! I did however tell him that I was still going to warn the general public about my experiences with his company !! He said , fine , thats my business .
Well I'm finally going to get this over with...................? I ready myself for the upcoming events and wait all day tuesday , wednesday , wake up thursday morning , get a call from Shawn Heckmann ( 1-412-475-2035 , Allcare Rep. ) who informs me not to come in !!!!! yea he said thats right , you heard me do not come in we have canceled your appointment permanently !!!!!!! He said your money will be refunded in full , take your business elsewhere ! I said , I will , I will go to a professional next time !!!!!!!! He hung up on me .
No, No , No it gets worse ! yea , I know , hard to believe , but it got worse !!! Later that day I called "Care Credit " my credit co. and they told me that the original bill of $4,400.00 had been credited
$3,810.00 and that he was going to charge me $590.00 !!!!!!! He apparently told them that he was getting something !!!!!!
So the "Nightmare on Allcare Street " continues !!!!!
So now I have to Re-file complaints with the BBB and the State of Ohio Dental Board , etc . , etc. , etc. , get my attorney fired up again , as I told him earlier in the day that the problems I had with Allcare had been resolved .
To date this goes unresolved ( 03/08/07 ) But stay tuned and continue to warn your neighbors ! Look I dont think I'm a "HERO"
I feel its my duty to warn the decent citizens of this great country and to more or less protect and serve . No I'm not a HERO just someone who cares .
I'm building a " web site " as we speak , it should be up in a couple of weeks . in the mean time if you need to report Allcare Dental & Dentures , go to your local Better Business Bureau or the State Dental Board , or any review site you can find . in the mean time contact me @ wmerogerwhitaker@aol.com , especially if you feel someones health is at risk !
I Dont believe that the staff at the Allcare office I visited has a clue
about the serious nature of the "Craft " they practice !
To Look up an Allcare Dental & Dentures , in your area go to your
States Website , for example " NewYork.Gov " and look for complaints filed in your area . You can also FILE A COMPLAINT at this site .
Remember this , A " Chain " Dental Co. has one goal , CASH , and CASH FLOW . They are not people oriented and therefore can not offer the patient the care or courtesy one deserves .
The moral is , Stick with your local , well established private practices that have been around for years ! Theres a reason for that .
