Misal's is the definately the most asthetically pleasing Indian restaurant in town, but what Misal has in its lavish Indian decor, it definately lacks in Chicken Tandoor. I used to worship Misal's because it was the only Indian restaurant I'd ever been to, but after being on the west coast for two years, Misal's has been put to shame. Misal's food isn't even spicy, they serve green beans at the buffet, they have nothing good on the buffet. The reason why Misal's is probably the most popular restaurant in Norman is because it is on the extension road off of I-35, between Main and Lindsey. If you want actual Indian food and something not diluted for the American palate, if you want a kick in the mouth of flavorful taste I recommend Taste of India on the Eastside of Norman. Taste of India obviously isn't as outwardly nice, but the Taste is unbeatable and the price is slightly less than Misal's. Be your own judge try it out.

If you're looking for something of the exotic to tickle your taste buds, this is the restaurant for you! From the moment you walk through the elaborate doors, the smells of the Indian cooking will hit your senses and the sights will delight your eyes. I recommend the lunch buffet since you can sample a bit of everything from the soups, dals (beans), tandoori chicken, kheema, potatoes, etc. The price is average and the atmosphere of the restaurant makes for a fun outing.
