Everybody knows that moving it's very stressful and cumulate with some bad moving experiences in the past I was very precocious before hiring movers this time considering I was relocating from New York to Boston. I start looking on the Boston market for movers and I came across Stairhopper Movers. They were very nice starting with the first phone call and guiding me through the entire moving process. I hired them for my move because I felt very confident that my move will be a successful one. Another reason that made me chose them was the very competitive rate. On the moving day, 3 strong clean guys showed up at my door in Manhattan and quickly start working. After watching them working for 15 min, I felt once again safe and confident regarding my decision of hiring them. 2.5 h later, our 3 bedroom apartment was wrapped in blankets, loaded and on his way to Boston. Everything got offloaded in even less time once they arrived at our new condo on Newbury Street. Our bed and desk got assembled free of charge and they even helped us rearrange the furniture in the apartment. The most important thing it's that our belongings arrived to Boston without any damages, no dents, no scratches and in a record time. Definitely this is the best moving experience I ever had and I would recommend them to all my new Boston coworkers and friends. Thank you guys. You did an amazing job!

These guys were amazing 3 days ago when they move us from Somerville to Quincy. Arrived on time and right after the quick tour of our house they start passing boxes and wrapping furniture as soon as those were gone. I was very impressed how quick and professional these guys were. 4 hours later everything was delivered without any scratches or dents. Andrew, Jaime, James were friendly and professional. If you are planning to move, definitely Stairhopper Movers it's a local company that I would strongly recommend. For sure, I'm not interested in searching for other movers for my future moves. We used Stairhopper Movers for a local move from Boston to Arlington at beginning of December. Everything went as smooth as possible considering the bad weather that we had on that day. The movers arrived on time and as soon as we gave them a tour of the house they start working. Our furniture was wrapped and protected with blankets and everything that we have was loaded in less than 2 hours. Considering it was coming from a 4th floor walk up, that was impressive! With very affordable rates, the entire job took 4h and the total came under our budget for this move. Great! We couldn't ask for better movers and for a better moving experience! We recommend them to all our friends and family.

By far, the best moving experience I've had. On time, polite and professional, these guys moved my 2 bedroom apartment from Back Bay to Somerville in less than 5 hours like they estimated initially. With very affordable rates the bill came under the estimate that I received from the office, thanks to the hardworking guys send to perform my move (Andrew, Jaime and James). Awesome, they just saved me some money! Honestly, who does that?! I will be using them again in the future.

My husband and I hired them to move our 2 bedroom house last weekend to a storage facility, since our new house was not quite ready to move in. They used dollies, blankets and at the end, I didn't see any extra charges on the bill for any of those. Reasonable priced, our move went very well, I'll definitely use them again for the second part of our move.

I just used these guys to move from Boston to upstate New York and all I can say it's that I was very impressed the way they worked and handled my move. On time for pick up, on time for delivery, nothing was damaged since they were careful enough to cover all my stuff with blankets before loading (unlike other movers that I used before). Professional and friendly staff will describe them perfectly. Definitely recommended if you are looking for a long distance mover and I'm assuming locally they do a great job as well. I have to say that moving with them was a pleasant experience. They came highly recommended by one of my friends. I booked them for September 5th to move my 2 bedroom apartment from a 3rd floor walk up to a townhouse in Cambridge. I'm very pleased the way my moved occurred. On time, carefully with my artwork and not only but fast in the same time, Joe, Tito and Rene provided professional moving services in a very friendly and fun way. I will definitely use them again, even if I don't plan to move soon...!

They moved me 2 days ago from North End to Somerville and they did a really great job. Fast and secure, everything was out of my 1 bedroom apartment in 1 hour. I couldn't believe how fast they were loading all my things. Same time, they were polite and very attentive to my needs. I didn't stress too much after I saw how this guys were handling my stuff and how fast they were doing it. Definitely worth it to have them as your movers and definitely recommended.

I don't write reviews normally, but had to write this one; My crew brought three guys and a 24 foot truck. They were 15 mins early that morning and were moving boxes by the time they were scheduled. Domingo was my foreman and his demeanor was pleasant and attentive even late in the job. Then the work continued to two full trucks and so many hours of dedication and they had it in spades. I would say I plan to hire them next time.

I hired them to move my office from Weston MA to Sudbury MA. Excellent office staff, moving crew, moving equipments, protective materials, and trucks. They had an awesome system to get all our stuff up the elevator and wherever I wanted in the new office. On time, smart, professional, really awesome guys. Definitely a 5 stars moving company in Boston. I wish I could give them an extra star for being so professional and easy to work with. Highly recommended.

If you are looking for a good deal on the moving job consider this moving company for yourself. Flexible with the timing and very professional, hard working and quick team of movers. Fidel, I think that was his name and the 2 guys that helped him were AWESOME!! They were very efficient and moved us really quickly. The price was unbeatable and the service was unremarkable!! After the relief of having everything moved from my 3rd floor apartment to a 3rd floor loft with barely having to lift a finger, I would give these guys 6 stars if that were an option. How should I start this? If you say dependable, affordable, responsible, and communicative, you're saying Stairhopper Movers. I have nothing but praise for these guys.They gave us a fair quote, they showed up on time, fit all our stuff into the truck which still amazes me, and managed to move two places into one, including a half-hour drive to the final destination, in about 6 hours. All that service, quality and follow through for a great value. Two things are for sure: 1) I will move again. 2) I will call Stairhopper Movers to do my move. I would like to share my moving experience with Stairhopper Movers.
From the first step, online request for estimate, I was quoted $ 545.50 to move my 2 bedroom apartment from downtown Boston to Medford. Adrian, the sales person, who was actually very nice, helpfull and knowledgeble, adviced me to get 3 movers on hourly basis to accomodate my moving needs. Their prices were very fair in comparison to other companies I got quotes from, and they ended up charging me exactly what they quoted me.
The day of the move, my movers came right on time. They carefully padded all my pieces of furniture like my armoire and flat screen TV, etc. and did an awesome job disassembling and later reassembling my bed and my huge dining table, at no extra charge. The crew was nice, polite and were truly professional and courteous from start to finish. That was a pleasure to work with them, real professionals.
When the movers left I just stood there looking around in amazement. Everything was where it should be. The easiest move ever. Nothing was broken or scratched. These guys went above and beyond!! So, I will recommend them to anyone I know, best deals around.

I just moved from a 3 bedroom condo from Winchester, MA to a house in Lincoln, MA. I had a very good experience with Stairhoppers starting with the sales person (she went into the minor details and asked me every possible question about my relocation) and ending with the movers assigned to this move. The entire team of three people were very accommodating, caring and professional. To be honest, this is what I was expecting from them and I had a good feeling about choosing them for my move. I have to describe my experience with Stairhopper Movers as being a really pleasant one. I moved with them last weekend. The movers, Joe, D and James were very polite, carefull and efficient. We had a difficult time with the building's elevator and the guys volunteered to carry everything up the stairs to save time. Mona, the sales person, pays attention to details and will help your move go smoothly. They all worked as a team to accomplish a job that took less than a day to complete. My last move took about twice as long and cost twice as much as a result. Not one item was damaged and that was the most important thing to me. They took the extra care by wrapping all my furniture and making sure that everything it's safe. I'll definitelly recommend them and I feel perfecty confortable to give them a perfect score for their efforts. Great people, great company.

My fiancee and I moved recently moved from Boston to NYC a 2 bedroom worth of stuff. Stairhoppers was recommended to us and we couldn't be any happier with our decision! To be honest, before I booked, I had called several other moving companies, just to get a sense and was given twice the price that Stairhoppers quoted me. Their rates are really affordable. Starting with the first call, Mona took the time to explain everything to me and even gave me tips on my packing. Talking with her, I had the feeling of getting precious advices from an old friend. We scheduled our starting time for 7.00 am, they came on time and they wrapped our furniture with great care (they even helped us pack since we were not ready) and by 12.00 pm they were done loading. They even took care of the parking permit for Boston area and I even arranged for them to transport my car down along with my furniture. My furniture and car arrived 4 1/2 h later to NYC - everything in perfect condition. Nothing was damaged, nothing was broke...if I may say it was a perfect move. As soon they were done offloading, as a follow up, Mona was the first caller in our new condo in NY. Really hard working movers (Chris, Domingo and Joe-thank you guys), friendly and very professional. No doubt, our move was not an easy one, considering was done as a straight job, ALL IN ONE DAY - unbelievable, but the crew that was sent to handle our move was GREAT. No disappointments if you move with Stairhoppers!!!

I used Stairhoppers to move me from Hill, MA to Derry, NH last week and I was very happy. They showed up on time, got to work right away and they were so friendly the entire day. I had received a lot of great reviews for them so I was pretty confident using them, but they really did exceed my expectations. They wrapped absolutely everything, even the small pieces and unwrapped everything. Then, per my request, they helped me set it all up in each room and place the furniture in a few different spots. They came prepared with boxes for all my things, from wardrobe to large boxes for pots and pans and picture frames and they were very well organized. All costs and fees were explained prior, nothing hidden. They moved quickly to help make the move as speedy as possible being in the same time very careful with our items. I was very pleased with the very personable and professional service that I received. Many thanks for your kind professionalism.

On time and on budget. That's how my move went 2 days ago. The crew arrived on time and they worked so fast I never believed it can be done in less than 5 hours (that's how much they estimated) and provided me the service they promised in a very professional manner. They were very careful with everything, had all the right tools to get the job done and there wasn't a scratch on anything. Best of all was that they were great to deal with. After moving quite a few times in the past and having each time problems, we decided to hire Stairhopper Movers after a friend of mine recommended them. I'm glad we made that decision. Our move went really smooth, they showed up on time, 8.00 am sharp they were in front of our house and soon after watching them work I personally start to relax and by 12.30 pm they were done. Very professional, very fast, trust me....you will get the best moving services on the market. We also needed to store some of our things for a few months until we figure out what we are going to do with them, and the storage price was very affordable, just like their moving rates. Check them for all your moving and storage needs. It's worth it!

I just want to say from the bottom of my heart that these guys are really amazing! I just move with them recently from Worcester to Boston, from a single family house to a 3 bedroom apartment. Not an easy move, I'm telling you. We had so much stuff, it was unbelievable. We requested several quotes from local moving company like Gentle Giant and Nicks Moving, but these guys came along with really affordable rates and a very good reputation. The crew that came did a great job (Domingo, Franco and Brian - thank you guys), everything was packed with the utmost care and they were very polite. I'm not normally moved to write about a company regarding my positive experience, because so often my expectations are far from being met. My experience with Stairhopper Movers, however, far exceeded my expectations.

I had a very delicate situation with downsizing my mother's home in Wellesley to a townhouse in Boston's Back Bay. We were all very nervous relocating 30 plus years of accumulated items of great sentimental value. From the time I first spoke with Mona on the phone to get initial information, I felt they truly cared about us and our move. Mona was very creative in finding solutions to a myriad of unforeseen problems prior to the move, particularly when our closing was delayed for a day and we had to scramble for an overnight storage solution.

When the movers arrived for the pack, they were all courteous and professional. One of the owners ( I think his name was Adrian) was even on the job and he orchestrated the pack and move beautifully. He made us feel confident our items would be handled carefully. We were particularly concerned with a large and really heavy armoire coming from the 2nd floor. The movers knew to separate the pieces and individually wrap the pieces to ensure their safety. They finished the packing in one day, and the move, including the closing delay, was on time and on budget.

I am so thankful to them for making an extremely difficult and delicate situation into a seamless move. Everything was delivered without damage, and the job was performed right on time and within budget. It is so nice to deal with companies who do what they promise.

Stairhopper Movers did a fantastic job! We had a very pleasant move. The crew (Mitsu, Gabriel, Joe and sorry, but I don't remeber the fourth guy's name) was polite, courteous, and most important...quick! They arrived on time- 8 am sharp they were in front of my house. They covered with blankets our floors and stairwell, for protection, and padded all the furniture, at no charge, to avoid marking up the walls and floors. Finally, a moving company that doesn't charge for pads. The entire move they were very efficient and at the end the price was resonable. It was lower than the estimate, when does that ever happen? Moving is stressful - deal with Stairhoppers and you will feel well taken care of. We couldn't have asked for better movers and will use them again the next time we move.

My fiance and I used Stairhoppers to move in Boston in late July 2008. The reviews showed them to be a reputable company with solid service, and we were happy to have someone else do the move for us. Prior to the moving day, we went to our new apartment and labeled where things should go, color-coded, to match the boxes and furniture we were moving.

They continuously asked where everything was going which was great for the furniture to make sure it was all in the right place, but once the box piles in the room started probably was unnecessary. One trip, one of our three movers only carried up a mop and a plunger (neither would fit in boxes) but for the most part they were efficient. They took the boxes out of the old apartment much quicker than expected, don't plan on doing much more packing once they start taking boxes! They finished about half an hour over their outside time (the estimate was 5 hours, with a low of 4 and a high of 6). Unfortunately our dining room buffet is still sitting in our side yard because the movers couldn't fit it up the stairs. There was nowhere inside to store the buffet and the movers neglected to mention that they have a storage facility. Upon follow up they came back as soon as possible and picked up the buffet to put it in storage. Since there was some confusion they were very nice and took great care of us. It remains in storage until we sell it. If you have large furniture (the buffet was 6.5' long) make sure you measure stairways and talk at length with the moving company about backup plans. Hoisting brings with it more people and an additional safety fee. In the end they were very helpful and wouldn't stop working with us until we were happy and all issues were solved. The owner, Adrian, was very helpful and understanding, as was his crew.

I was referred to Stairhoppers by one of my co-workers. I was a little apprehensive at first due to the fact that I had never heard of Stairhoppers up until that point. I called and the first impression I got was one of friendliness and professionalism from their receptionist. I booked one truck and 3 movers to arrive at 8:00AM and on the day of the move I got one truck and three movers at 8:00AM as promised. After a quick intro and some brief instructions, they got to work. I have never seen three people work harder in my life. They were efficient, careful, and friendly. I was under the impression that they were going to milk the clock considering I was paying by the hour but they wanted to get me moved in almost as much as I did. They took very good care of all my fragile items and informed me when they needed to use extra supplies that may affect the price before using it so there were no surprises on my bill. All in all it was a great experience. I would use them again and would advise anyone who is moving to use them as well.

We just wanted to thank you very much for your terrific service last week. You and your Team Domingo were just fantastic!!! We couldn't ask for a better moving company. We purchased our first home (Condo)and it was very important and special day for us. The movers showed up early on the morning of our move so that they can park the truck and start moving exactly at 9:00A.M which we requested. We were concerned that the per hour pricing means slow moving but this was not the case at all. We thought it would take at least 6 hours, but we finished everything in only 4 hours!!! From the beginning, Stairhopper Movers was a pleasure to work with. We were nervous about having to spend so much on moving, but after the horror stories we'd heard, we figured flat-rate was our best shot. And the people at Stairhoppers were really attentive and honest--they pride themselves on treating their customers right. That may sound like just a slogan, but in this case, it certainly seems to be true. There were no hidden costs, no sudden "adjustments" to the estimate, and the team that moved our stuff was EXCELLENT. Juan and his crew were really the best--prompt, quick, careful and nice. We were done moving all our stuff by about 3PM--a MIRACLE! True, we had most things packed, but they handled everything that needed extra care; the guys even moved all my plants with barely a leaf disturbed. We would use them again in a heartbeat, if we were ever going to move again...which we're not, of course. Moving may be awful, but Stairhoppers made the actual moving day a real pleasure!

It was a great pleasure to work with these young men, they handled my furnishings with great care and put everything back into place at my new residence. I recently moved from Washington DC to Salem, MA - a move made much more pleasant than expected by the helpful folks at Stairhopper Movers. All of your employees were efficient, but i'm writin in particulat to compliment you on three of them. Our point of contact, Adrian, was particularly pleasant and informative - a great representative and sales person for Stairhoppers. Next, the gentleman who was in charge of the team that moved me out of my Washington DC house, but whose name i can't recall, was very helpful - making recommandations on packing, and seeing that all my belongings were treated carefully, etc.
Finally - and most particularly, Albert, the fellow who delivered my belongings in Salem, MA on July 5th, was truly a gem. His attitude was great, friendly, professional, eager to accomodate. Just wanted to let you know how wonderful you all were for my move on June 14. The process of moving had been a source of great stress for me, so you can imagine how nervous I was having to hire movers. Booking was so easy (thanks Mona!) and the three gentlemen who arrived to move me could not have been more professional or polite.
