Beware!! Horrible Service, Vital Parts Missing!
My husband and I purchased a GE front loader washer and dryer at the Chesapeake location approximately one month before our upcoming cross country move (which the sales associate was notified of). When we purchased the set we were told the hot/cold supply lines had to be purchased separately. Ironically, we were also told to go to Home Depot, they are cheaper there. When the movers arrived it was discovered that the hipping bolts had been removed from the washer (required to avoid the wash drum from crushing the internal computer during shipment). I contacted East Coast Appliance (ECA) assuming this was an easy resolution, WRONG! First I was told this is standard procedure when appliances are delivered to a customer (ironically, they did not deliver the appliances, we picked them up). After almost 2 hours talking to three different departments I was still no closer to a resolution. I even had to provide the part number for the shipping bolt kit to ECA (the moving company was able to obtain this information faster than ECA could). I was finally offered bolts from another appliance (at another location which I had to go pick-up). Neither delivery nor service was offered. To no surprise, the bolts did not work. Bottom line: Service is HORRIBLE, vital parts of the appliances are missing and they have no interest in helping customers. You might get a "good deal" on your appliances, but you get what you pay for! Save yourself the time and headache, purchase elsewhere!

Never Again

We recently moved into a new appartment and decided to buy a washer and dryer instead of renting from the appartment complex. We stopped by East Coast Appliance in Chesapeake and shopped around. The saleslady we were talking to was great. She was knowledgeable and was not pushy with us. We decided on the Bosch set and proceeded to order. We let her know that we wouldn't be able to have them delivered until the 17th, and she told us the dryer was on back order, that we would have it a few days after the 17th. We told her that was acceptable and paid for everything in full, including the delivery cost. We placed the order on the 7th. On the 22nd we still hadn't heard anything so I called to check the status. Our saleslady wasn't there, and the gentleman on the phone told me that the dryer was available, but now the washer was not. He put in a note to our saleslady to call us back. She called the next day to let us know that the washer wouldn't be available now until the next month on the 24th. That's nearly 2 months from when we originally ordered it! She said that it was that way everywhere, all Bosch's were in back order, no matter where you go. So we went over to Lowe's, right down the street from them, who had the washer on hand. We called and told them to refund the washer and just have to dryer delivered. They delivered that the next day, but it was dirty and the dryer hose did not come with clamps (which it was supposed to) and they told us to go out and get them ourselves, which we did. The very first time I dried a load of laundry it came up with an error message, and has continued to do so ever since. We called to let them know the next day and they asked if we saw the delivery men remove it from the box, which we didn't. I really believe that they gave us a used dryer. We are still waiting for service on our dryer. I do not recommend this store to anyone. They will tell you anything to keep your money, and the service is poor.
