You always need reservations for this restaurant... it's always full of parties and people...
But once you get in, the food they serve is delicious!!
But the food is too expensive and you can't really satisfy your stomach unless you have a lot of money to spend.
But definitely it's a great restaurant to have excellent dishes with your friends to have an awesome dinner!

I was deeply disappointed with their total disregard and poor attitude toward people with food allergies. I??ve eaten at Gochi??s several times for lunch and had very pleasant experiences. But after having dinner with my family and parents, I would never return. The service was extremely slow (waited for menus, waited for tea ?? never got a refill throughout dinner). Quite a while after ordering, my mom??s salad arrived. 10 minutes later, 2 steak dinners arrived, those were finished and at least 10 minutes later, we asked about the remaining 3 dishes and more tea. They explained that the food is served family style and was purposely spaced apart. The menu and waitress never indicated this.

When the clay pot arrived, it had an egg cracked on top. I explained I was allergic to eggs and did not see anything on the menu indicating the dish had egg. I was told that they could never list all the ingredients on the menu and that I should have explained all my allergies to the waitress before ordering. I explained that most restaurants at least list the more common allergens on the menu. They insisted that it was my issue and they had posted a sign by their front door regarding food allergies ?? the sign is 3 paragraphs and the allergy note is buried in one paragraph in 10 point type. Nothing is stated on the menu. The restaurant manager was also insistent that it was not their issue and that many of their dishes could have egg, nuts etc.

I found their extremely poor customer service and total disregard for those with allergies appalling. Please beware.

This was our first experience eating at this restaurant. It came highly recommended by a number of friends and co-workers.

My husband ordered a half dozen of the oysters. Luckily, I have an aversion to oysters, so I didn't eat any. I made a comment that they had a foul odor, but my husband and son ate them anyway.

They were both violently ill last night so my guess is the oysters were truly bad, and as a result, my husband and son wound up with mild food poisoning. This shows me the restaurant doesn't have very good quality control.

Aside of the bad oysters, the service was seriously lacking.

This was our first and last visit to the restaurant.

The waitress who claim she is the head of the restaurant is extremely rude and rip you off especially at night. She will not tell you hidden tip that they decide on their own and force you to pay without telling you. It seems almost a crime. Be careful not to ripped off by her.

You need to have reservations for Friday and Saturday evening. If you like nouvelle fusion cuisine with a Japanese touch, you'll enjoy the atmosphere and menu/liquor offerings. Do not expect to order a traditional Japanese dinner that includes soup and rice. Everything on the menu is a la carte and meant to be shared. Reminded me of an upscale Japanese izakaya. Items are pricey ...
