Marla Robbins, M.D.

I am taking time to write this review as I am dismayed by the negative comment I've just read. Dr. Robbins was the attending physician at my son's birth here in in Orlando and since then we have lived in several different locations in and out of the country. We have yet to come across a doctor as intelligent, caring, and thorough as Dr. Robbins.
We have recommended her to parents who travel over 30 minutes to get to her office as we are also glad to do.
I f I was asked if I would trust her with my son's life I would say yes.

My daughter Kelsie is 16 years old. She has had Dr. Robbins for every day of her life. She has always been quick to help and even when on short notice has never been refused an appointment or help. She is a wonderful Dr. We love her. She is quick to get you in, and answers any and all questions. She is efficient and helpful always.

Every time I have seen Dr. Robbins, she has been very helpful. One time I barged in on a Monday morning without an appt b/c my son had a very worrisome rash covering his entire body and she saw him right away - no appt needed. My son has an underlying medical condition that requires special care and collaboration with other physicians and she always works with the other docs and calls to get us into specialists.I'm sorry the other person had such a bad experience. Her staff is helpful too.

Dr. Marla Robbins does not provide high quality child care. To make a long story short, she recently went on her own to start a new practice. It is my opinion that she is only interested in billing insurance, as she often refuses to provide scheduled care. For example, I brought her in for her 12 month vaccinations and Dr. Robbins refused to provide her with her MMR shot. The reason? Because my husband and I did not bring OUR immunization records to prove our immunity. She would not give our daughter shots because she didn't want us to get sick - despite the fact we verbally assured her of our immunity. She doesn't spend time discussing your child, but rather simply fires questions at you - is she doing this, is she doing that. And when you ask for suggestions - forget it. She doesn't offer any feedback or advice. During that last visit, we told Dr. Robbins that would be the last time she would be seeing Emsley as we decided to switch to another pediatrician. Dr. Robbins felt the need to send a certified letter to my home telling me that she would no longer provide care for my daughter. I thought I was past high school. It seems to me that Dr. Robbins is only interested in billing insurance as much as possible, as she requests that you come in several times just to resolve one issue. There are too many good pediatricians in Olrando - like Brooke Britton at Pediatric Associates of Orlando. Skip the visit to Dr. Robbins - you'll thank me for it.
