The Melting Pot is a great restaurant. The staff is very friendly and the service is fast. The atmosphere is romantic and classic. For a great meal for two - first a cheese fondue with breads for dipping, then a plate of raw meat and seafood with a garlic-y fondue, then chocolate fondue with fruit for dessert. It can get very pricey, but it's worth it. The perfect place for a date.

A coworker and myself decided to try The Melting Pot since I've heard so many good things about the restaurant. Well we arrived around 4-430 expecting there to be no wait since there was plenty of parking. Well since we didnt have a reservation (which it says on the website it is not necessary!) they told us it would be over an hour wait. Well you could understand if it was busy...it wasn't. There were more than enough empty tables. I did not get to try out the wonderful experience people rave about and I will never go back to try again.

The Melting Pot exceeded my expectations and I can't wait to go back! I love fondue, but I wasn't entirely certain that I wanted to try the Melting Pot at first. It took me a few years after it came to the Boston area for me to check it out. I heard rumors that it was a bit expensive and crowded, so I wasn't exactly jumping at any opportunities...however, when my friends suggested it *and* it seemed like a central location for us to meet, I went along with it. I'm so glad I did! The food was delicious and we had a great time. We actually decided to go with two courses only, the cheese course and the chocolate course. I *highly* recommend this idea, as we were stuuuuffffed even with only these two courses. I can't imagine having any more. The cheese came with bread and veggies and the server mixed the fresh cheese in the pot on the hot table top. The chocolate was delicious as well - a little hard to decide what to pick, but I don't think you can go wrong. Overall, I really give this restaurant 5 stars and I'd love to go back soon.\n\n

Pros: Delicious

Cons: A bit pricey

I happen to love the Melting Pot and have been here a few times. This is a great spot for groups to enjoy because of the nature of fondue. It's perfect for sharing!\n\nEvery table has a built in burner where the waitstaff will make your cheese fondue for you, or bring out your chocolate fondue. Every time I go, I feel like the amount of food brought out for dipping is not enough, and then it always ends up being more than enough. \n\nI've found it's sometimes hard to get a reservation (I would strongly recommend getting a reservation before going) and it's slightly pricey, but a really fun experience. \n\nThey have a really fun and yummy Ying and Yang martini too. White and dark chocolate, and it's actually really beautiful when they bring it out. Give it a try!

This place has been considered expensive for a long time but they are now offering a ladies night that is a great deal. Its fun to go here with a few people and get a couple pots so you have plenty of conversation and they always give you more than enough food. The meat is super fresh too. beware: the chocolate fondu WILL kill ya. After the dinner and that dessert I had to go outside for fresh air- no lie!

Friends, Fun, Fondue, Fantastic! The Fabulous 4 at The Melting Pot Bedford. I am always looking online to find out when the next Monday Night Girl??s Night will be! I am a regular with my friends. The last Girls night we attended we each got a free OPI Nail polish for ordering a drink made with Chambord. How fun!! Anna William handbags were displayed with so many unique styles and fabrics, I didn??t know where to begin!! I decided to purchase a gift for a friend's upcoming birthday and I was delighted to find out that a 30% discount was offered for alldiners that evening. I'm thinking that next time, I may even design my own. There was also beautiful jewelryby La Di Da (I think that was the name). Ialso met with the psychic and got some insight into my future beforemoving on tomy fabulous fondue meal. We had the cheese fondue, then onto a yummy array of meats and vegetables for our main course (one friend wasn't so hungry and chose the salad option). Last but NEVER least the dessert of chocolate. As always I left Girls Night full and happy! Can??t wait for the next one!!

My friend and I went to The MeltingPot the other night. I had heard good things about it, then heard an ad for it on Matty in The Morning during my commute to work. I felt that it was a sign to make a reservation and couldn't stop thinking about fondue all day!! We arrived early, and sat at a high top table in the bar area. Very hip. I spotted a drink called the Strawberry Basil Lemonade- I was intrigued and ordered it. My friend had some type of margarita made with blackberries- both drinks were fabulous. We were seated soon after sipping our drinks. We walked through a maze of cozy booths, I was shocked at how big this place really was!! It looked empty from the waiting area, but I think almost every table was filled in the back. We had a nice spot to camp out for the next couple of hours. We had already decided that we would splurge and order The Big Night Out, and I'm so glad we did! We were brought our cheese selection (a delicious mixture of several cheeses with garlic and basil I think). Wow! Our waitress came back to check in (she was awesome) and we ordered our next item which was a salad. Even the salad was a mixture of flavors I wouldn't think to put together. Onto the main course!! She brought out shrimp, lobster, filet, chicken, veggies- I was so glad I didn't eat all day knowing I was coming here. All of this food- yummy!! We had selected some type of Caribbean cooking sauce which was awesome. I just kept patting myself on the back for making the call to finally come here- I don't know why or how I waited so long to try this place out. Of course chocolate was our finale!! What a great way to end a meal. Fruit and cakes dipped in chocolate, who invented this? Fantastic. If I didn't think anyone would see me I would have licked the plate clean- I didn't but I could of!! I can't wait to go back again, whose coming?!?!?

""Another fabulous and delicious time at the MeltingPot last night!\r\nAs a stay at home mom with a hectic life style, I find the casual and relaxed dining experience at the MeltingPot perfect for me and my friends. I had been looking forward to this night out for several weeks, and the waiting paid off.\r\nI always find the decor in the MeltingPot fascinating and very hip! My friends and I had a great table (though I don't think there is a bad one in the entire place). Bring on the cheese! I think the toughest part is deciding what to order- so far every item we have had is to die for. Our server was wonderful and very attentive. The selection of fun """"girly"""" drinks is fabulous, I always try something new. Last night I tried the lobster, beef and chicken with a scrumptious garlicky dipping sauce. The chocolate was a slice of heaven as our finishing course. The only bad thing I have to say is that it ended! I am already planning our next fondue night out!\r\n \r\n\r\n

In the words of the manager, "This restaurant isn't for everyone". If it wasn't for bad service, this restaurant wouldn't have service at all. Just ask for a napkin or a glass of water and you can be sure to get a dirty look. You need a PhD to understand the rules of this restaurant. BYOP. Bring your own plate or be prepared to pay 10 dollars to share. This is not a restaurant for you if you get squeamish about raw meat. Better service at McDonalds. I read other reviews saying there were issues with service and didn't necessarily believe them, but now I do.

My friends and I were having a bad week at work so we decided to treat ourselves to a fun dinner. What is more fun than fondue and martini?s? TMP offers both of course. I had my usual Appletini, but some of the other girls decided to try some of the other ones on their cocktail list. They all tasted really good especially the Ying Yang, sort of like a milk shake, yummmm! We had a great time and it really took our minds off of work and all the other stuff we are putting up with right now. Hopefully, next time we go it will be for a better reason and the food and drinks will be even more fun!

I went to the Bedford MP for a fun girl?s night out last week. Not knowing what to expect I was a little skeptical about fondue, only because I hadn?t experienced it before. However, I was really happy with the outcome. The cheese was amazing and the chocolate is to die for, the best part of the meal! We had a great time and would definitely go back again. The only thing I would change next time is that I would make an appointment to see the psychic that they have on Monday nights for Girl?s Night Out!

So it was my birthday and we booked a table for 2 for 4.30. They told us that we will need to empty the table by 6.30 so ""please come by 4.15"", which we did. We reached at 4.15 and they told us that our reservation was at 4.30 and that is when they will seat us. So why did they tell us to come early???\r\n\r\nWe were seated and saw the menu that said ""fixed Mother's Day menu"". We had no idea, the lady on the phone (whom we spoke to several times) never mentioned once that it was a fixed menu. We told our server this and asked if they can make an exception because we were unaware of this, and she said she will ask the manager. This person comes by (who apparently was the manager) and said she cannot make an exception because she wouldn't know how to ring us, if we only wanted to eat 2 cheese fondues (what we always order here). We requested several times and also said that the reason we came here is to celebrate my birthday and we weren't told about the fixed menu. Same experience as the person who wrote another review -- She didn't even bother to wish me!\r\n\r\nShe said she will have to take up this issue with the girl (who booked our table but failed to make us aware of the fixed menu) but there is nothing she can do for us. One apology, no wishes, no coupons for next time - NOTHING! Inspite of us saying that we were thoroughly dissapointed and they are potentialy losing a regular customer.\r\n\r\nAnd this isn't the first time we have had this horrid experience at the Burlington location. Once we ordered Chocolate Fondue in which the waiter said that she will charge for extra dippings -- they never used to charge for extra dippings before so who made this rule????? Then we told her about this and said she might be able to throw in few extra pieces of one of the dippings (like she is feeding a stray cat) -- HOW CHEAP!!\r\n\r\nOVERALL THE SERVICE HERE IS HORRIBLE AND RUDE AND FOR THE $$$$ THEY CHARGE THIS IS NOT GOOD SERVICE AT ALL. \r\n

On August 23, 2007, I had my wedding rehearsal at the this restaurant. We made the reservations about 1 and a half months in advance for the function room right off the main entrance. During the month before the wedding rehearsal date we had meetings, emails and phone calls with manager Brian to go over menus and exactly what we wanted on the day of. He was very professional and took into consideration all we asked for. \r\n Our reservations were for 7:30pm, we all arrived a little early, but our room was ready for us when we got there. The room was completely set up and had a great feeling to it as soon as we walked in, with the fireplace going and candles lit. We had about 32 people, including 3 kids under 4. We had 3 servers( I forget their names), who were absolutely wonderful. Everything we asked for was done right away and they were very social with our group and made our evening that much better.\r\n We had champagne and wine on our tables for everyone. We also had a full course dinner with cheese fondue, salad, entree and dessert. Each and every item we had was delicious and filling, no one left hungry.\r\nThe bartender also made wonderful specialty drinks that everyone was impressed with. Brian and his wife checked in on us regularly to see how everything was going. We were there until about 11:30pm and they close at 10pm, but were very nice about us staying later and told us to enjoy ourselves and not to worry about time.\r\n I highly recommend this restaurant for large groups and for a romantic dinner for two. My husband and I had dinner here when it first opened and thats what made us decide on having our rehearsal dinner here as well.\r\nThis is now the place my husband and I will go for our special events.

Ladies Nite Out is a winner - a cool way to spend a blue Monday or any other evening for that mattter. 6 girfriends and I recently attended one of the restuarant's Ladies Nite Out dinner evenings. Great concept with even greater servcie and food. What a blast...much more than all of us expected! It was a novel food experience. I honestly did not expect much from an evening of cheese. Surprise...no whine with that cheese. Thank you very much! If you want fast food go somwhere else. This fondue meal is to be savored and you will not be rushed through the process. Your taste buds will be delighted! We never knew that so much could be done with cheese, various sauces, or in a simmering bowl! Leave room for dessert - You don't want to miss it...a chocolate bliss trip best desribes it. The wine list was exceptional (always a plus) and the Yin Yang martini's are not to be missed either. We arrived early, were ushered to the bar area, and delivered to our table right on time. Not a bad way to de-stress from a hectic Monday in the office. Our server was great. He was engaging and knowledgeable. The restuarant decor is chic and the ambience very nice. One of our group was a big wine buff and was delighted to ""talk wine"" with one of the staff. We felt welcome and will spread the good word about the new addition to Burlington's dining venue. Check it out...you may gain a new respect for fondue! We'll be back..that is for certain.

Pros: excellent food, nice bar & decor, unique & expanded seating capacity, chic, theme evenings, novel approach to dining

Cons: not conducive for young kids

We have eaten twice now at this newly opened restaurant on the border of bedford/burlington. We like the European approach to leisurely dining and the concept that the table is yours for the evening. On both occasions the servers have gone above and beyond particularly when requested by my wife if the raw garlic could be poached before being added to the mix. Both times we have gone for the full works and you certainly leave full. The wines are very reasonably priced and a well stocked bar greets you when you first enter. The choclate fondue with mixed fruits has to be the best way to end a meal ever.\r\nWe thoroughly recommend it and will be back again soon.

It's certainly an interesting experience. The menu isn't very clear. It took us a while to understand what we could order, and what came with which entrees. It's helpful to understand in advance that you cook your own food in a shared fonduepot and that you will have to agree with the others in your party as to which type of broth or oil to dip your goods into. (The cheese fondue only comes with bread; you can't dip the main course entree into the cheese). The reason this is important is that, if everyone's going to disagree, then you'll need to get a table with two burners. As a vegatarian, I didn't want apot that would have meat cooked in it so we had to put two pots on one burner, which didn't work out very well because you end up with either two lukewarm pots, or one boiling and the other tepid. So ask for a table with two burners if you think this will be a problem.\r\n\r\nExpect to be there a long time. We went with 3 courses (salad, entree and dessert) which took us about 2.5 hrs to complete.\r\n\r\nService was pretty good and patient (especially given our frustration over understanding the menu). Be careful turning corners in the Burlington/Bedford restaurant. We noticed that a lot of the servers, who were frequently carrying heavy trays of plates and very hot fondue contraptions, couldn't see around the corner from them; we witnessed one collision with a customer and several near collisions.\r\n\r\nFood was pretty good, but for the price, I expected more. Dessert was divine--melted chocolate with fruits, brownies, cheesecake and more. The California salad is also very good--tastes much like a Cosi signature salad.

I'm the girl who likes to go to restaurants that aren't chains, or there's only one in / around the big city. However, when my girls and I decided to check out The Melting Pot, I was as surprised as any that a chain restaurant really stood out among its competitors. If you haven't been (I've only been to Bedford location), the decor is top of the line exquisite. I kept my expectations low on the staff, since it was a new location, you never know what you're going to get. Our waiter was not only friendly and knowledgeable, but we never wanted for a drink, because he left us topped off. We never had to ask him for anything during our dinner, because he made sure we had it before leaving the table to let us enjoy what was one of the most fabulous meals I've ever eaten. From the fondue, to the breads, and the lobster to the wine selection, I'm happy to report that not only would I go again, I will recommend it to all of my friends and family, and I'm considering hosting a small work function in its private room. Kudos to the management and staff for getting it right! Thanks Melting Pot.

I'm tough to please about food and restaurants in general, but I can't say enough about The Melting Pot in Bedford. I don't know the area very well, but the restaurant is incredibly easy to get to--right off the highway and minutes from The Burlington Mall. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the booths/seats are comfortable and many are very private--great for a romantic special occasion. They also have lots of large booths, which would be nice for a big family or company party. The food and the service are well above-average, and there are choices for everyone--even vegetarians. When I think of fondue, I think of cheese and chocolate, but this restaurant offers a lot more than that. You can get seafood, chicken, beef, vegetables, even pot stickers or ravioli, and cook them all in your choice of broths or oils. The salads are excellent, and the desserts are to die for! Also impressive is the extensive wine list, which has really good choices for all budgets. The servers are knowledgeable and helpful, and since they do a lot of tableside preparation, you feel really pampered. This is a great way to spend a relaxing evening. Although I live quite a distance from this restaurant, I'll definitely be back!

I had the pleasure of going to this restaurant shortly after it opened and was impressed at how polished and knowledgeable the wait staff were already; very clearly highly trained in their ""field of expertise."" Good food, great vegetarian options and beautiful ambiance. Highly recommended for group outing or special occasion!

My family experienced our first fondue dinner at a recent evening when the MeltingPot was holding a fund raiser for our high school. Our service was excellent. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and helpfully guided us to excellent choices for a full course meal from the somewhat complicated menu. \r\n\r\nAll of the courses were terrific, but the Fiesta cheese and Yin & Yang chocolate fondues were our favorites. \r\n\r\nThe Bedford MeltingPot is a wonderful community partner and an excellent place to experience a special family night out.

Went to the MeltingPot last weekend for our wedding anniversary. Can't remember the last time I had such a great dinner out! The food was fantastic - from the starter course of cheese fondue and salad, to the entree (we had the Lobster Indulgence with the Coq au Vin cooking style) and of course nothing beats a chocolate fondue dessert. The ambiance was perfect, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!\r\n

This is my new favorite spot. The ambience is high end but fun. The food is both delicious and fun. The tables for two are designed so you have complete privacy, no one can see you and you can't see anyone else. For each of the 3 fondue courses you pick both what's in the bowl, and what to dip into the bowl. We picked a wonderful chesse with wine and spices, then got the Fusion entree (lobster and Ahi and steak and chicken and and and!). The desert was over the top...I'd never thought to dip cheesecake into chocolate! If you want to really impress a date or a spouse...then the MeltingPot is your best friend.
