Called and setup a tuning appointment with Jr towards the end of July. The earliest they could get me in was Thursday, August 9th. I was informed that there was a $100 deposit that would be charged since people frequently miss appointments. I gave them my info and was set.

About a week later I received a call back from Kathy stating that my appointment would need to be rescheduled since they had mixed Jr's schedule up and he would, in fact, not be available Thursday, August 9th and Friday, August 10th. He would instead be in on Monday and Tuesday of that same week. I let her know that I would need to get back to her since I wasn't sure of my schedule for earlier in that week.

In the meantime I was presented with an alternate tuning solution that I decided I wanted to jump on. I called P&L back to let them know that I would not be rescheduling the appointment. I assumed at this point that no deposit would be charged since they had canceled on me and I was not occupying a spot on their tuning schedule. Hence, if I didn't show up, they wouldn't be out anything.

August 9th rolls around and lo and behold, I'm charged the $100 deposit anyways. I guess they considered me a "no show" for a day they had no appointments and their tuner wasn't even in the same state. I called them immediately after seeing the charge and was told that they would investigate and get back to me. A day or two passes; I don't hear anything from them. I call again and am told that they would be refunding me the $100. Another week or two goes by without the refund being processed. Go figure... I decide to give them one last shot Friday morning and was told the same thing they had originally said, "we'll look into it and get back to you."

I still haven't heard a peep. Enough playing around... claim and chargeback filed. I should have heeded the advice I received from a few individuals regarding the type of business they run. If you're into shady dealings, poor customer service, and fabricated drama, P&L Motorsports may be right for you. If you want fair and honest treatment and dealings with a professional staff, take your business elsewhere.

Let me be the deciding factor... I have a newer sti. Obviously one who's on the market for a sports car soon comes to the fork in the road where they decide "stock is stock and its not enough. F the warranty, Im modding." So long story short. I started with my new STI hatchback, got the exhaust and a off the shelf cobb map tune (to hold me over for a while until Jorge dyno tuned it- P&Ls recommendation) along with a drop in K&N stock replacement air filter, and the rest was history. P&L is like a crooked drug dealer. They read you like a poker player. The slick talking marketing tuner JORGE they got over there will mix so much bullshish in your face your head will spin. Hes good at it too. They will let you destroy yourself and be happy to take your money again and again to "fix it".First, They basically put a exhaust and cobb map tune on my car and let me go with promise too see me soon, soon to realize that by the time i had came back "ready for my dyno tune" My car was putting down almost 400 whp unsafely boost creepin beyond its limits. He said the issue would be fixed by a EWG 44m as he starred at me nervously with the shakes and look of fear in his eyes. After the wastegate was put on.. we tuned it, as well as adding a the cold air intake they offer. few weeks later it blew UP... Compression loss. smoke, Done. You know the deal. OVER 20,000 dollars later .....

I had my car tuned ,and before i could ask jorge how it went he left. kind of disappointed ,but figured he had to leave when he finished.I pay my bill, and get in my car and started it and drove about 50 yards ,and the car started to knock. i went back ,and they told me it was normal for that to happen after a dyno session. well needless to say my motor was toast. They offered no help in any way i wound up doing a swap on my own out of my own pocket. great group of guys while you are spending money ,but when things go wrong the blame is put on me,and i am removed from the shop. Never use them beside they have blown 3 motors in less than 3 weeks.
