I tried carryout at Jim N Nicks after someone recommended it to me. I placed an order and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. I drove to the restaurant (it took about 10 minutes to get there). The counter where you pick up carryouts was in total chaos with one person behind the counter with her ear glued to the phone and people obviously waiting on food sitting at the bar. One man had been waiting over 30 minutes for his food and was very irate. they kept asking me what I ordered and what my name was. Finally after 45 minutes from the time I called in the order I got my food. It took only 5 minutes to get home and it was stone cold. The pulled pork was extremely dry and hard, the apples were tough, the turkey was dry and hard, the brisket was cold and tough. The BBQ sauce was thin and watery. Don't waste your time or money on this horrid restaurant. They don't understand the concept of Southern Hospitality

This is the best barbecue restaurant in town! I've gotten spoiled by it, and I now refuse to go anywhere else. My husband and I have tried several different items on the menu, and we have never been dissappointed.

I ate at Jim N' Nick's last week and it was out of this world! You must try the ribs and beef brisket! Talk about tender and juicy. The mac and cheese was real homestyle and the cream spinache was tasty, too. I tried my friend's fried green tomatoes and I swear they were the best I ever had. Also, they have these things called cheese biscuits you can get as appetizer and come with your plate that are SO GOOD! They are fluffy and a little sweet and come with you some homeade honey butter that really sets it off. The prices are about $12 for a plate but, you get two sides with your meat and two biscuits. It's worth every cent because the portions are GENEROUS! If you can squeeze in dessert you must try the chocolate pie. It has a thick, creamy chocolatey filling and homeade whipped cream. Man, that was some good eating! They have a bar too. Try to get in a draft beer or cosmopolitan before you get your food. You may not have room for it later.

Each time I go to Jim N Nick's, I am amazed at how much food I get on my plate and how good it tastes. Definitely enough to share with my young child.

This is a nice new place to have around. Barbecue is great, excellent ribs, side dishes superb.

Really great country barbecue. Hard to differentiate between barbecue places, but this one's special.
