As an African American male psychologist in Atlanta, my practice specializes in counseling with children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and groups. I have a great deal of expertise with emotional, educational, and psychological problems. I also provide psychological testing and evaluations for learning disabilities and ADHD, and the diagnosis of psychological disorders. I will evaluate your current psychological state with regard to mood, symptoms, and level of functioning. I have worked with various populations ranging from disruptive children and teens, marital and couple's therapy, executives needing coaching, college students and adults dealing with depression, anxiety, and grief. I use cognitive-behavioral therapy and multicultural counseling approaches that target various aspects of psychological well-being. This approach helps you by challenging self-defeating attitudes, strong beliefs, and unlearning counterproductive behaviors. Therapy will focus on techniques that target the way you think, feel, and respond to situations and problems. You can begin making more rational life decisions, create more satisfying relationships, express appropriate emotions, overcome hardships, develop motivation and self-discipline, set realistic and achievable goals, and create balance in your life.
