I have multiple cats and depend on the knowledgeable care they receive from all three doctors. I appreciate the caring service of the entire staff from the receptionist to the techs. The professional attitude and immaculate appearance of the clinic are important.

Dr. Beth and the staff at the Baldwin Park hospital are outstanding. My dog is elderly-a 14 year old lab mix and she suffers from arthritis and bouts of diarrhea. Dr Beth ran some tests and we decided to put her on some chinese herbals due to her age, and she has done so much better. She gets acupunture every few weeks and that really has helped with her arthritis as well. I am so grateful that they take the time each visit to really listen to what I have to say and I really feel supported in all the decisions I'm making about her health. I also get phone calls after our visits to check up on how she's doing, and I love that! I feel that I am at the perfect place to give my precious girl the best medical care she deserves.

Today was my 3rd and last visit to Baldwin Park Animal Hospital. I have two 1 1/2 year old cats I adopted when they were 3 mo. I took them to Dr. Nunez on recommendation. I previously had 2 elderly cats and took them to Loch Haven Animal hospital. Although I liked the staff and vets, in the last days of my cats lives, the vets there talked me into running tests that cost hundreds of dollars. I asked if they were really going to improve or extend their quality of life and I was told it was likely. I felt stupid that I fell for it TWICE, but you're very vulnerable when your pet is ill and will do almost anything, right? Dr. Nunez seemed to understand and assured me it wouldn't happen at his clinic; that they believed in "holistic" treatment. Apparently his definition of "holistic" is "run tests that cost a bundle". On my 2nd visit I took 1 of my cats who had what I thought was feline acne and an ear infection. The tests and visit cost me $300 and I ended up with Gentizol, Animax and basically, Stridex-type acne pads for animals; very standard treatment for ear infections and feline acne. Seems to me an experienced vet could have looked at my cat and figured out what it was. When it's not a serious issue, wouldn't you TRY medication 1st and if it didn't work, THEN run tests? By the way, all of the tests were negative; no fungus and no bacteria. That was in March, 2010. Last week my husband went in to get the medication refilled, but no, we had to bring our cat in. I made an appt and took him in today at 10:30 for a 10:45 appt. I told the front desk that I had to be done by 11:45 because I had to go to work. That would have been and hour for an appt to look at my cat's ears and chin. Thank goodness the young lady was honest and told me it was probably not realistic that I would be out of there by 11:45 as they had a full house plus 2 people in front of me in the waiting room. What???? I won't be going back. In my opinion, they do what many vets do, run unnecessary tests and overbook. Oh, on my other 2 visits I also had to wait an extended period of time which is why I told the front desk that I needed to be out in an hour. A good friend of mine highly recommended The Cat Hospital of Orl, in Altamonte Springs. I've got an appt on Monday and will let you know.

I had been personally referred to Dr. Nunez' clinic by a mutual friend. I needed to board a cat for 5 nights so I could go on vacation. I stopped by personally, chatted with the desk to ask about their facilities, filled out the paperwork, and faxed the vaccination history, so I was all set weeks in advance of my trip. I was also quoted a price of $10.50 per night for the boarding at the time I reserved the spot. THE DAY BEFORE MY TRIP, I received a cheerful phone message from the facility stating that they were raising their rates, and my cat's stay was now going to be $13.50 per night. I called and talked to the desk, who talked to the mgr, who talked to the vets and who got back to me later. They totally understood that this was bad business, raising rates without notice, on the eve of my trip, with my budget set. I also explained that I was bringing all my own food and litter for special needs purposes. And that this boarding was a safety issue as I have 2 cats, and was boarding one to separate the young cat from the 14 year old so they did not stress each other out being alone together. So they called me back and stated that the new escalated prices would stand. Greedy small minded people. So they did not make the $67.50 or the old price of $52.50. And they lost any future revenue from me, including using them as vets for a lifetime for the cat boarding as he is a young rescue and does not yet have a vet. THOUSANDS of dollars this stupid decision cost them. So I rearranged my budget and put him up for 5 nights at a $20 per night luxury cat facility where he was not crated all day and was loved and carried around like a baby. Best for him, great for me, and the pox on the weasels at AHBP.

We've lived in Baldwin Park for over five years and have taken our dog to Baldwin Park Animal Hospital since she was a puppy two years ago. Our dog has always received excellent care and the staff are very friendly. You can tell they love their jobs and the pets that care for. I would recommend them to anyone.

Although their hearts may be in the right place, this practice is very poorly managed. It's nearly impossible for your pet to see the same vet consistently. My pet deserves better!

I have been taking my dogs there for years for their medical care, and to board them. Since they offer a broad spectrum of care, from traditional to less invasive "alternative" modalities, my dogs have lived long lives. My lab is 13 years old and still plays like a puppy (I think she still thinks she is a puppy, frankly). On the occasions where I have needed to board my dogs, they always are happy, healthy, and clean when I pick them up. The doctors and staff are friendly and helpful to me, and gentle and caring with my dogs. The staff always communicates well regarding their recommendations and costs, which I appreciate. The facility is clean and well equipped to handle any procedure or protocol of care, so I know my dogs health won't be compromised due to a lack of available resources. The doctors are the best I have encountered. All in all, I would wholeheartedly recommend them to any of my friends whose pets I care about, knowing that they couldn't do any better in caring for their pet than to take them there.

The staff and three veterinarians are amazing here! I've been taking my pets here since 1995 and will never leave. If we moved to another state, I'd still want to take them here if I could!

We have been taking our cats to Dr. Nunez for more than 5 years. A year a half ago, we brought a homeless kitten home and unfortunately, he was evidently a carrier of Feline Panleukopenia and every one of our 10 cats got the disease. Dr. Nunez and his caring staff saved our cats lives, as this disease is often deadly. We owe a great debt of gratitude to this caring and quite gifted Veterinarian and will never take our pets anywhere else. We live 45 minutes away and drive there for the most routine things for our kitties. Also, this little kitten we brought home had a severe eye infection in one eye. Dr. Nunez' care kept the infection to only the one eye. Sadly, it was too late to save his one eye, but Baron the Pirate kitty still sees great with his other eye! This crazy one-eyed kitty still dashes around the house making us laugh continually! We are very grateful to this wonderful Doctor and caring, compassionate staff! Thank you!

Dr. Nunez and staff have always listened to my special needs for my pets. I have three dogs, and it can sometimes be hard to keep up with what they need. The staff always lets me know what my pets are due for and allows me to make up my own mind. I like to combine Eastern and Western medicine and they always tailor my pets' plans just for us! I also board my pets here and wouldn't dream of taking them anywhere else for extended stays!

Late one night in November of 08, I was fortunate enough to have Dr. Beth answer my call personally. I was desperate for our beloved cat Mel and was hoping to leave a message for the first available appointment, but she answered! Mel had just received a diagnosis and we felt very lost, had alot of unanswered questions, and felt inexperienced as to how to help, care for, or just make Mel more comfortable!

One thing I have noticed is that they give you and your pet time to adjust to being at the office. It doesn't have to be a scary place, but if your pet has had a bad experience, know that Baldwin will help to turn that around! Sometimes just giving your pet a little time to investigate or sit quietly can make all the difference when it comes time to see the doctor!

Baldwin staff and veterinarians are top of the line! It doesn't matter what day of the week, what time of day, or whether your question is simple or complex; they never make any question feel unfounded or silly, have answered our questions in a timely manner, and do so with kindness and professionalism! They each truly bring something very special to you and your pet's experience, care, and without a doubt, each in their own capacity, belong in this profession!

Dr. Beth is fantastic with her knowledge, experience, and above all, her calming demeanor! She is truly there because she has a passion for your companions! There aren't words for the impression she has made on our family! We would only wish there were practitioners, like her, for people!!! Dr. Al is wonderful! If your pet is in need of immediate help, he is thoughtful, a troubleshooter, and funny, which helps so much in a stressful situation! He works to offer you, the pet owner, if worried, a variety of options which in turn gives the sense of regained control of your pet's care and treatment. And Dr. Lopez is ALWAYS so welcoming, compassionate, informative, and genuine! Thank you Dr. Lopez for your recent care for Sasha!

Be assured, whether your loved one is young or younger, not feeling so good or just in for a routine, the attention and thoroughness will be given!

The staff is TREMENDOUS!!! They are lovely warm women, so very special and unique in their style and we adore them! Mary, thank you for seeing Mel on his way!

Bottom Line: The sense we get from our pets, is that they know they are in good hands when they are at Baldwin Animal Hospital!

With Lots of Love,

We have been going to Baldwin Park Animal Hospital for 7 years (they only recently moved to this address - before they were located in a strip mall across from Fashion Square in Orlando). The staff has always been very friendly and helpful and they love the dogs! The only negative since they moved to Baldwin Park they have gotten WAY too expensive so I will be looking for another vet. I don't mind paying to take care of my dogs but why pay double? We take our 2 dogs in every 6 weeks (also to get them spa days - ear cleaning, glands, bath and nails for $40 - which was $10 cheaper at the old place) and every 6 weeks we can't seem to get out of there for minimum of $500. My husband and I don't even have medical care like that! :) My pup had stepped in glass when I took her in a rest area somewhere and it had sliced her paw open. I took her in, they had to do surgery with meds and all it came to $400. They had bandaged the paw but no lamp shade they said ' it should be OK'. Well overnight she chewed the stitches out so I had to take her back the next morning. They had to re-do the stitches and all...another $200. This was on a Tuesday. They asked us to come back on Friday to have it looked at which I did...another $40!! For what?? YOU wanted to see her and I already paid $600, as a courtesy for being regulars and dropping so much money every 6 weeks that could have been done for free in my opinion. SO that was what made me decide to find another vet - we need the money too hard to be handing it out.

I recently moved to the orlando area and in search of a vet clinic for my three pets. I went to many clinics in search for the right "fit" for family care. I was very pleased with this clinic. I was greeted with a sincere "hello, how are you today" the staff answered all of my questions with confidence. The clinic smelled excellent and was very clean. As I toured the facility everyone said hello with a smile. I made an appointment for the following week and to my surprise I received the same care and attention. The doctor my pet was seen by was very soft with her, did a thorough exam and gave me an estimate before completing any services. I walked away with such a great experience. They are now my family vet!

I was oddly excited about coming to this new facility! I was told great things from some friends of mine and was very curious to see for myself. When I first walked in the door everyone up front said 'Hi' to me and my dog. They walked around the front counter to pet and 'oooh' and 'ahhh' over my dog. It was very sweet and made him alot more comfortable. I waited for a few minutes in the lobby and then met our nurse for the day. The whole staff was very nice. There seemed to be a great energy in the whole building. Our appointment went very smoothly and the doctor was hilarious and very knowledgeable. I would feel very comfortable leaving my pet in their care. The only negative that I would have to admit is during the time that i was there they were burning white sage. They told me that it is to ward off bad energy and spirits, but it smells a little funky to me. Overall my experience was very good and I was very happy my friends recommended them to me.

I took my doberman there for heart failure after going to many specialists and being told he had only months to live. The staff and doctors were very caring and understanding that he was not just a pet to me he was a family member. The doctors explained many options and possible outcomes. I was able to enjoy the last part of his life and most importantly he was able to enjoy it as well. I highly recommend this facility.

I took my dog in on a Monday after he was continuing to get sick all weekend. I was worried that he had eaten something that was possibly blocking his digestive tract. After dropping him off in the morning the office called and told me that he didn't have any blockage but that he had a lot of gas. They said he was dehydrated and put him on an IV, at the end of the day I picked him up and my bill was over $400. Not sure how much a dogs digestive system is different from a persons but a $5 bottle of Pepto and some Gatorade takes care of excess gas and dehydration??? On top of feeling ripped off when I went to take off what I thought was a bandage for where the iv was I noticed that the base of the iv was still there. They sent him home with his iv still in. They gave me some excuse that the send some dogs home with that in case they need to go to the emergency vet over night...but to send me home without letting me know that it was still there??? When removing it the tech told me they would give me a free spa day. Worthless since I will never trust anyone there with my dog again. Which is awful since I live in Baldwin Park.

At one time I loved this place. Over the last year it has gone down hill dramatically. This place will nickle and dime you. They have have messed up my records, double and triple charged me, wrongly diagnosed my dogs. Then I brought my dog in one evening and as I am waiting I hear the two vet assistants taking horribly about someone else and their dog. There front staff is friendly most of the time but it doesn't make up for the incomptent doctors and there lack of organization.

I've been to a lot of vets but never one like this. One of the only positives to this facility is that everything is practically new. A reason for this is probably because Baldwin Park is rather new. Other than that, the staff was rude and unhelpful, the price is sky high, they will try to rip you off. There is a coupon for $34 off the office visit, but they will go ahead and charge you whatever fees they can. My "regular" visit was routine check up that was $400. The strangest thing is that the staff refused to even help me put my dog on the weight. They gave me medication without instructing me how to apply it. The staff seems nice up front and over the phone but when you get there they are a bunch of inexperienced, unfriendly, yuppy girls. I strongly advise people to check out other facilities before going to this one.
