Craft-O-Rama

OMG! Why was this place not opened sooner?! They have the most interesting fabrics to choose from and their kits and books are anything but mainstream. The best part? I can sit in there and knit on my projects anytime I want to, and friendly, cute, tattooed boys come in to browse and chat! What could be better than that?

Classes for sewing, crochet, knitting, etc. are only the beginning of what you will find in this very unique new store in the "Soco" area behind Amy's Ice Cream on South Congress. The fabrics, notions, and yarns are as funky as the location! You will also enjoy shopping for hand made items such as jewelry, painting, and birdhouses done by area artists and hand picked by the owner for their unique character. I especially was drawn to the fact that I can just meet a friend there and sit in the very funky lounge to knit or crochet and chat for a few hours without the kids interrupting us every few minutes! If you haven't been to Craft-O-Rama you gotta go to this very new, very edgy, Austin hangout! You're gonna love it!
