5 Stars: Izzy's Steak and Chops is a tasty steakhouse in the Marina! (by Jennifer M.)

I love this place. Dinner here is always delicious and the staff is really great. I agree with the review below -- definitely go with the creamed spinach as a side! As far as entrees go, last time I came I got the medallions, which were so juicy!

Izzy's is now doing brunch. I saw a menu for this and it looks very reasonably priced considering that it's in the Marina! I am really excited to check it out.

5 Stars: Wonderful steaks (by Jessica L.)

Izzy's serves wonderful steaks without the stuffy high-class steakhouse atmosphere. It's a lovely place with great waiters, a great bar, and great food. The upstairs is really neat because the entire wall is lined all the way around with sauce bottles. When it comes to ordering the sides for your meal you have to try the creamed spinach. It is amazing!

5 Stars: Steak, Potatoes Au Gratin and Wine for Dinner (by Guy M.)

If I lived in San Francisco, I'd go to Izzy's Steaks and Chops for drinks after work and have dinner there every other weekend (to cut down on the cholesterol). It's a skinny, yet long place with dark wood paneling that give the place a pub-like feel. Checkout their web page for some photos.

I ordered a bottle of the Franciscan Oakville Estate Cabernet Sauv. and watched the Dodgers win over the Padres while a New York Strip steak was prepared medium for me. Also had shoe-string fries and broccoli. Their potatoes au gratin are also excellent, but I wanted to save room for some keylime pie.

The waiters are on the ball and keep your goblet filled. By the time my order came in, I was halfway through the bottle. The steak was tender and excellent without too much spice. For those who desire more spice, there's a string of condiments next to each table from Louisiana hot sauce to Worcestershire sauce to A1 steak sauce.

The shoe string potatoes and the broccoli were standard and rounded out the meal. I've had the creme brulet before, but went with the key lime pie to have something different. Both are highly recommended.

In summary, a great place for steak (haven't tried the chops, yet) and a good place to hang out at the bar after work - seems like a lot of locals already know that.
